I appreciated the parking lot in the back, but not the walk to the side door in the cold. The decor was vibrant, colorful, and authentic, as I would expect with murals and graffiti on the walls! There was a bar with tvs for those who wanted to watch sports games and then ample seating throughout the front of the restaurant. It was also very clean, including the bathroom, which matters! I caught up with a friend here last week. Our server Owen was super nice and quick when we first arrived. My friend ordered green tea which I was surprised they had and she said it was good. I ordered a drink with coconut rum, curacao and something purple in it which tasted like koolaid and rum. To eat, we ordered chips, salsa and guacamole, mozzarella planks, and fish tacos. The guacamole and salsa were both very good and tasted fresh and authentic with a little kick. The shrimp tacos came out and it looked like my friend and I had totally different dishes, they were not good. However, I ordered fish tacos to go (pictured) and they were delicious! This place has the potential to be very good.

Their Margaritas are small but cost the same as a large margarita anywhere else. Quality wise they are good but not as good as the size-price ratio. Look at the menu and notice the price for the nachos! It starts out ok but if you want sour cream that costs extra, guac costs extra, add chicken and that's extra by the time you're done with all the ads ons you end up with an average size plate of nachos that costs $28.00!! I also ordered the Carne Asada which was actually a steak with round fried potatoes. The steak was good but it's not marinated like carne asada should be... My suggestion is to share it or eat the entire thing when it's fresh. We shared churros for dessert but ate them before the camera came out! Trust me, they're yummy. It took over an hour just to get a table, which already set the tone for the night. The place felt overwhelmed and not well organized for the volume of people they were trying to handle. Once we were finally seated, service continued to be very slow. Drinks and attention from staff were hard to get, and everything moved at a frustrating pace. The food, though, was honestly delicious, that part didn't disappoint at all. The most uncomfortable moment happened at the bar. The bartender told us, "you guys are all set," which made us think someone had covered our margaritas. We left that interaction genuinely believing they were taken care of. An hour later, we were handed a check anyway. It felt confusing and honestly a bit embarrassing, like there was a miscommunication that could've been handled much better in the moment. Overall, great food, but the experience was messy, slow, and poorly coordinated. I'd still give it a 6/10, mostly carried by the food, not the service or organization.

I ordered the chicken enchiladas mole. The chicken was stringy and tasted like it had been boiled hard in plain water. The mole was "hot" but that's it for flavor - no chiles, chocolate, peanuts, sesame seed taste at all, like it'd been watered down and thickened with cornstarch. The tortillas were....rubbery? Owner must've seen my plate set to the side and he asked if everything was OK. I told him what I've said here and he apologized and said he'd talk to the chef. But he still charged us for my order. Will not return.
