Prices have gone up, but still a great value for food. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the restaurant seating is clean and there is usually a seat or to available. I loooooooove chiles es nogada. However, they are a pain to make and they are only made seasonal by veeery few restaurants. The ones made from fiesta market are great! I would go again next year (sep 15-16) to get them. It takes me about 40 mins to get here so yes they r that good. read more

There is a minishop at the back with Latin American products, but I would recommend just eating from the menu since their products are quite expensive and can be found at many Latino markets nearby for much cheaper. read more

Amazing authentic as it can be for Canada Mexican food. I say this as a born Mexican and moved to Canada at 11 years old. Highly recommend it and it has a small section for you to buy Mexican products. read more

A great Mexican restaurant in the deep south? No. Can't be. Really? Really! I have been here a bunch of times now and have tried pretty much everything. My goto now is the incredible home made chips to start with the habanero salsa, tortilla soup and the meat lovers gordita. All for about $11 and change. Just wish they had something better for the salsa than the tiny plastic cups. They also have a market area in the back with some great latino products. This place and Unimarket are giving Calgary some credibility when it comes to Mexican food, finally. read more

Love these guys. Emigdio is always so friendly, and the food is fantastic. My go-to is the tinga de pollo burrito. My wife (vegetarian) likes the bean and cheese soft tacos. I've tried the gorditas, and they're good as well. But I love the burritos. We usually get a bag of chips and a side of beans. The beans are soooo good with chips. There's so little good Mexican in YYC. This is top of the list for my wife and me! read more

Made fresh to order so expect about a 10-15 minute wait, depending on how busy it is. They'll call out your number when it's ready. Good sized portions and fairly priced. Absolutely delicious!!! Went yesterday for Cinco de Mayo and this is my second visit. The tamales were so good the first time. The Chile relleno was insanely good and I was lucky to get the last one of the day. Pine nuts, almonds, raisins and a hint of spice and heat from the Chile. Probably the best relleno I have had in years, possibly ever. The staff have been gracious and my order has been ready or close to, when I have arrived. I'm happy to wait for a good thing, especially shaking my head as I walked by TacoTime drive through and the 10 car deep line up. My child's Carne Asada burrito was not spicy at all and was a hit!! read more

Just popped in here for some postre (dessert) after visiting another nearby restaurant. We had he rice pudding and tres leches and both were very yummy and pretty cheap. The staff was super friendly and everyone does actually speak Spanish. I'm not sure if it is but the place has the feel of a family run business. We will be back for some more food! read more

Just had my first taste of Fiesta's delicious Mexican food. Everything is so fresh and tasty, and there are a LOT of options. Lots of take-out options, and there are some great pantry options in the market at the back. I will be going back soon, and only wish I could get delivery! I'd never cook for myself again! read more

This place is LEGIT. Simple set up: You order at the counter, have a seat, they call your order, you crush some of the best Mexican food you can find in Calgary. Actually Mexican too. As in they ARE from Mexico originally. Jessica said, "The jamaica reminds me of what it tasted like at my grandma's house." The food is great. Generally choices of gorditas (a little stuffed taco) or tacos with a variety of fillings (mostly meats) to choose from; $3.50 each. They also have a daily special (I think usually for $10). We went on Tuesday for enchiladas. Super good. The tortillas are made in-house and are so fresh they roll off the press before your very eyes. Sopa Azteca (tortilla soup) was really good too. Rich broth, deep in flavour. Desert (tres leches cake) is yummy too. The cherry on top is the little store they have at the back. They have most Mexican products and goodies you can think of. All fairly priced. Please support this place. It is a gem for the neigbourhood and a one-of-a-kind place for Calgary. read more

A simple but varied and reasonably priced menu is freshly prepared and super flavourful. Plenty of vegetarian options, much appreciated. Salsa bar is a bonus! Okay I have been here enough times to know now that it isn't a fluke. Consistency is key for me because you cannot keep up the performance I will be hugely disappointed. Here is the real deal. When I walk in I am usually the only one who isn't able to speak the lingo and Spanish speaking isn't all there is to this lingo - it's more about the ambiance, like everyone is hanging out in the neighbours back yard and I'm the friend of the neighbour. It's that comfortable and reliable but it's also fresh and flavour packed. These little Sopes, Tacos and Gorditas are all corn! Yep! Not that evil wheat that doesn't like me but corn. I highly recommend the myriad of chicken and pork options though the beef is a little dry for my tastes. The varied salsas, and veggies (cilantro, pickled onion, etc) are kept filled and chilled along the wall opposite the cashier. You need to wait just long enough for the items to be made in the spot and there can be a line up (really) so be patient and watch a soccer game - in Spanish - on the tele or browse the grocery in the back because it will be worth it. Better yet pick up a bag of chips and a container of fresh guacamole and sit and relax. It's that vibe. I may be the neighbours friend but I am welcome and I am eating what feels like homemade Mexican. I have tried a number of the grocery items and I have found if I look on line or ask the staff here I can make sense of most of what I am buying. An adventure right in my neighbourhood backyard. Yum! The staff are friendly and very helpful. The veggie selection is ok but like most places in Calgary very carne oriented. That said, the food is truly yummy and very authentic Mexican food. I enjoy every morsel and frequent the place after a very crazy and long workout at the gym (need the veggie protein to help with recovery ). Fiesta has a market at the back too. Great place to restock one's pantry and get hot sauce, tortillas etc. -- The place is typically packed so you may run into the rest of the neighbourhood. read more

Wonderful, authentic, take-out or eat-in, Mexican fare...made even better with a fresh salsa bar, complete with chopped cilantro and various spicy/flavorful sauces. Reasonable pricing, generous portions, and if you call ahead to order, you can usually just walk in a pick up your food. Excellent service and food. read more
