Fieldwork denver is a very professional focus group company, and the building in which it is located (wells Fargo center) is beautiful. You can't just show up and expect to be in a focus group, all of the pre registration to qualify for specific studies is done on their website or via phone. I personally have qualified for 3 studies over the past 3 years and I believe each time I was compensated with a $150 gift card for 90 minute or 2 hour studies. I honestly believe it's the easiest money you can make to just talk about whatever the focus is about. Your not supposed to have your phones put to take pictures, especially in the conference room during studies, so hence my lack of pictures. I personally qualified for a casual dining study, in which I watched potential commercials from said company and they wanted feedback on which commercial was more appealing. There were 7 total people in the room all discussing what we saw with a moderator. Your in a very bright room with double sided mirrors where people are watching and recording what you say on the other side of the glass. The conversations flow easily and it doesn't feel like work at all. Search for fieldwork denver and sign up for their email notifications which will send you notices of studies you could potentially qualify for. I apply for studies pretty often and don't qualify, so don't feel as though it's a scam, they are just looking for specific candidates. Like mentioned earlier, I tend to qualify for about 1 a year, give or take. At the end of the study, your given your compensation via a visa gift card which can be used anywhere like cash. I've enjoyed this company, even though I wish I could do a study a month, but I understand it doesn't quite work like that. read more

One of the best things about being open to new experiences is that you never know what is just around the corner, or behind Door Number 3! I recently took part in a Focus Group discussion at the downtown Denver office of Fieldwork Denver. It was on the 26th floor of the Wells Fargo Bldg, and if nothing else, the view was fantastic! The focus group topic was a "Health Issue Survey." Before I went I wanted to believe this topic would be interesting, but I had some serious doubts. But it turned out to be a lively 2 hours that went by very quickly. I came away thinking that perhaps I needed to mull over this subject a little more. I met some interesting people, who had some interesting ideas/opinions about this subject. Only question I had was: Why was the entire group women? Don't men have opinions about health issues? The facilities were comfortable and rather upscale. The moderator, Mark, was friendly and knowledgeable. I came away feeling like I had actually contributed to a worthwhile discussion . . . . and even perhaps moved the subject forward a tad. I came here the other day for a product research group and was in a room with five other women for two hours, talking about a certain food product. The facilitator was ok and they asked some really good questions--what made want to buy said product, what my perception is, yada yada yada. You sign up online, answer an online survey then if you qualify they call you back to see a) if you answered the same the second time around and b) if they need anyone in your demographic. If so, all is golden and they send you an email to confirm you will be partaking and then call to confirm. The process was easy, they give you concise instructions and directions on how to get there. They are located uptown at 17th and Lincoln so it's a pretty central location and they validate parking so you don't have to spend a good amount of time looking for parking. The office is located in the Wells Fargo building and is pretty modern and nice. They have subs, chips and sodas if you're so inclined and some candy right by the front desk. The girl working the front desk wasn't the most personable (this kills me when they hire unfriendly people for jobs like these!) but oh well, no skin off my back. You wait until they call you then they take you in and ask you questions. It's very interactive and not for the introverted type of being. I have been doing Fieldwork Denver studies for over 5 years now. Things have been getting messier year over year and I will not recommend. I qualified for a study for a Wednesday at 1:30pm. The week leading up to that, I got about 4 calls asking if I could still be present for the study. Then I got a phone call at 10:50am the day before asking if I was still good to go. 9:30 am they sent a lengthy email will one small line that stated that apparently, I was going to be on stand by (they called me after this email and didn't mention anything about this on the phone). So Wednesday comes around and I made arranges for them to show up to my house, and of course, never did. They purposely overbook and I made arranges to go through the study, and until they streamline some of their processes, I would look into L&E Study. They are a way better company and will not waste your time. They don't value your time, is all about the client. read more

Fieldwork Denver is a nice way to make some extra cash, particularly if you live in the downtown/uptown/cap hill region. They offer a wide variety of different studies, so if you keep an eye on what's available, you're likely to find something you qualify for. Sometimes they pay in cash and sometimes in prepaid Visa, and occasionally in other items. I once participated in a hot sauce study in which I was given a variety of delicious hot sauces at the end in addition to money. Score! It really just depends, but that variety keeps things from getting dull. The studies are often interesting to participate in, and most of us need the extra money. Participating in studies can be a fun way to earn it, so check this place out. read more

I have done w few of these survey groups in my lifetime and fieldwork is by far the most unprofessional of them all. They don't care about the people who come to do surveys and their comfort. We sat on very uncomfortable metal seating while there was tons of comfortable seats in a room we spent hardly any time in. Rachael the lady running it has control issues and is very pathetic. I will be avoiding surveys here in the future based on her attitude alone. The second day they told us they would provide lunch. There was nothing. We also lost time on all of our breaks because the staff conducting the survey wasn't on time to work, yet they lectured us the day before about respecting each others time. Y'all really need to get your act together. This place is mismanaged and inefficient, I cant figure out why a company would contract these jokers to conduct any decent survey. read more

While I can't give the details of the focus group I was a part of, I can give details of the experience. Participants get there 15-20 minutes early, sign in and wait in the waiting room where they have soft drinks, coffee and snacks. Once everyone in the group is there, they head to your room and participate in whatever is required for that group. At the end participants get a Visa card with the money loaded onto it. Oh and they have their own lot where they validate parking so that's an added plus, especially downtown. "How do I get inolved," you ask? Easy. Follow them on Facebook or sign up for their emails. I get several every week and when I think I qualify, I fill out the online survey. Most of the studies I have screened for are in the $100-$150 range, however I have seen a few where they are in the $200 range. They are very specialized though, so specialized that I don't take the initial online survey. Participating in actual studies isn't as easy. There have been several times where I pass the online survey, but when they call me with additional questions, I'm don't qualify. Last night was the first time I was asked to come in. I have no problem spouting off my opinion for free, so offering me $100 to do it for 90 minutes? Yep, that's as good as it gets! I hope to get to do it again soon! read more

I can mouth off and get paid for it. I just attended my 7th (I think?) focus group in the past few years and, as always, it was an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. Companies out there care what their public perception is, and what it could be. Thus Fieldwork Denver is a venue which allows researchers to speak directly to cross sections of Colorado citizenry for various purposes... and they compensate quite nicely! Go to their website to Join the Database, and if you fit a demographic being sought by researchers using their space, you'll get a call to screen you and arrange your focus group session. From there, you park (for free), enjoy some refreshments (for free), and then interact in a group for 1-2 hours about various products, topics or concepts. On your way out, collect your compensation (usually $50-$150 for up to 2 hours). How often do you get paid to speak your mind? Well, I've gotten paid 7 times in the past few years, so to me this place rocks. read more

I completed all of the tasks that were asked of me including a homework survey and then a 90 minute in person interview on September 16th 2021 and this company is not paying me for my time. I had to take time off work to participate in the interview, so I have lost on both ends.  Do not trust this company.  Ask for your money up front. read more

I have done studies with other companies before and had good experiences. This experience was very disappointing. I was asked by a friend if my daughter would like to participate in a discussion group with her son. We said yes. Then I get a call from Jaya, at fieldworks, who said that they could not partner up because boys have to be matched with boys and girls need to be matched with girls. Ok, fine. She said that my daughter could participate if she could find a friend (girl) to partner up with her. So, I told her I would call around and let her know if I find anyone. I called her the very next day and left a message. Over the course of 3 days I called four times and left messages each time without getting a call back. The fifth time I called she answered the phone I told her I had a friend that would like to participate with my daughter. She then proceeds to ask a few questions of myself and my daughter and informs me that my daughter does not qualify. Wait a minute, shouldn't this have been determined BEFORE she asked me to seek out a partner for my daughter?! Very unprofessional. read more

Intro: I've participated in focus groups in the past, both through Fieldwork Denver and other market survey / research companies. It's often an interesting and easy way to make some extra money. USUALLY the process of getting screened for participation in a study is easy enough: get an email announcing the study, fill out an online survey, get a phone call or to clarify / confirm information & either be eligible or ineligible for participation in discussions, taste tests, and other panel surveys. What's not to like? Problem: I believe that Fieldwork Denver might be slightly A. disorgranized B. very, very thorough or C. trying to get on my nerves. (Probably A or B or some combination thereof.) Details: A week ago I got a phone call and was told that I'm eliglble to participate in an upcoming study about Colorado Issues (cool). In the following days, I received 3 subsequent phone calls from Fieldwork Denver staff, all of whom were calling to inquire about whether I was interested in doing the study on Colorado Issues (not cool). I explained to each of them that I'd already been confirmed for participation and politely asked that they make a note of this. The very same day, I got a 4th phone call from a Fieldwork Denver Representative asking if I wanted to participate in an upcoming Colorado Issues focus group (this is starting to get annoying). Through clenched teeth, I explained that I'm already IN that exact focus group. Since then, I've received a confirmation email with parking instructions (helpful) a phone call to confirm my participation in the study study (at this point, I am getting annoyed from all of the phone calls) and then today, another Fieldwork Denver staffer called to ask if I knew anyone else who would be interested in participating in the study. Bottom line: at least for me, the process of getting screened into the focus groups can be a little chaotic. But once I get in, it's a really pleasant experience. Fieldwork Denver pays for parking, they provide snacks, the staff are all very friendly, and it's an easy and fun way to make some extra cash now & then. I'll still do focus groups in the future but I might screen my calls after I get into a group, just to avoid being rude to the poor staff members on the other end of the phone who are likely working for a slightly disorganized and / or very thorough agency. read more

Forewarning, this office is located on the 26th floor of the Wells Fargo building and there are large windows everywhere, while the view is no doubt pretty spectacular, for those afraid of heights-avert your eyes as much as possible! I recently did an all day focus group here from 7am-5pm, the staff and the company who we were working with were super, super professional and very to-the-point. This didn't bother me one bit, I imagine they deal with all types of people, pleasant and unpleasant. There was a raffle incentive to show up early, you could win and extra $50 by being there before 6:45am. They had a spread of breakfast items waiting for us when we showed up and provided a variety of boxed lunches from Jimmy Johns for lunch. One complaint, the chairs provided for large groups are the nearly all metal fold out ones. Since this was an all day thing, and sitting in those said chairs took up more than half of that day, everyone seemed to be very uncomfortable. So if you are aware if it is a large group, be prepared with a pillow or something so you don't leave feeling as if you need to go to a chiropractor. Also, like many others have mentioned, the initial interviews can be very extensive and the confirmation calls/texts may seem excessive but I think that's just to guarantee that there are enough participants for the studies-they are after all serving a client who is paying them as well. It's easy money and can be quite interesting. Just one last side note- people with social anxiety may have a hard time comfortably partaking in these focus groups, especially the large ones. read more

I got a call from these guys on behalf of my insurance company. They told me I was qualified for product review meeting, which paid $175.00. They then ran me through a bunch of questions about my relationship with my agent, and after answering the questions, they told me that the study was now full, and see you later. As a significant effort, after I accepted, they changed their minds. No formal interview, no $100. Be very, very cautious dealing with this company. read more

The process and facility was fine. But the "payment" expires very quickly, which they don't warn you about. I did my study in April and I had planned to use the card at Christmas, but it expired in July. Partly on me since I could have spent it. But I feel like they could have made a point of sharing that since it is not the norm with cards that usually expire in YEARS, if ever. Just out the money. :( read more

I have been a very busy moderator for over 25 years and have been in some great (and not so great) facilities. My recent experience at Fieldwork Denver was absolutely superlative in every possible way. Callan and her team gave us amazing service, the recruiting was letter perfect, the attention to detail incredible. They've moved to the 30th floor and the offices are gorgeous (and, yes, the view magnificent) and perfectly designed for the groups. Truly, it doesn't get better than this. I learned about Fieldwork back in Seattle when my husband did a few surveys and got paid for just 1-2 hours of his time. I was jealous! I signed up but never got qualified into anything. Since being in Denver though, I've done maybe 4 surveys and gotten paid for 2 or 3 others that I signed up for - they always overbook so your chances of getting paid for truly doing nothing are quite high! For example, I participated in a small focus group Tuesday where they only needed 4 people. They had 6 enrolled so 2 were paid and sent home before the group even got started. Nice odds. The topics can be fun. I've analyzed coffee creamer labels, wine labels (got sent home with a bottle of wine too), frozen food marketing and "natural" food marketing. Curt has done beer (Guinness) and whiskey tasting - even better! The location is nearby my office and the evening studies are super convenient. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't sign up to join their database and be contacted for these surveys. I'm not too motivated to track them on their Facebook page and seek them out on my own because there are soooo many, but when they call and pre-screen me, and I qualify, well sure I'm going to agree to give you 2 hours of my time and all my opinions (yay!) for $150. Or whatever each survey amounts to... They have free snacks and sodas in the waiting area though I've never looked over there to see what exactly they have. They validate parking in their building too. At first I felt weird going here, like I was donating plasma or something shady, but it's grown on me. read more

This is a very rude bunch of people. They telemarket you to participate in a "market study" and obtain all sorts of personal information. They sign you up for a "focus group" and then when you show up, they claim there isn't a group and you have wasted time, wasted money, and end up frustrated. Then your personal information is sold to other telemarketers. STAY AWAY FORM THIS SCAM. read more
