They make it simple and straightforward to participate. It starts with filling out online questionnaires to determine if you qualify for a study. Once chosen, they have you show up at the designated time and place - either at their north Dallas facility, or better yet, online for remote studies. Then you give opinions on products or services. Finally, you receive the agreed upon compensation, usually in a couple of days. So far, Fieldwork has a 100% success rate in doing all of this (unlike some of their competitors). They get bonus points for offering extras like early bird drawings for additional cash, providing an assortment of snacks and drinks in their office before the start of studies, and multiple payment options for their incentives (prepaid virtual credit card, physical card or a deposit to a bank account). The last one is important since the days of walking out with an envelope full of cash seem to be long gone. I participated in a 1 hour long study with this company. It was an awesome opportunity... the staff is personable, professional and friendly. I believe they do individual interviews as well as focus groups. Often times they recruit people but definitely go online and find out how you can get involved! The compensation is awesome and it's a cool way to find out what's going on in marketing for different products/companies around the nation. I'd love to participate again! Do not use this marketing research company. I was booked for a study & arrived 5 minutes late. They asked me to sign in, but then told me I was too late for the study. They also said that they tried calling me but I did not answer. They called @ 11:42 am. Study begins at 11:45 am, I was there at 11:50 am. All in all its not worth the headache, there are better Marketing Companies try one of them, I did. read more

Let me start off by saying that I have participated in focus groups throughout L.A. and N.Y.C. since I was like 12 years old, so I know a thing or two about how market research companies are run. Plus, it's a fun and easy way to make an extra hundred bucks from time to time while giving your opinion about products. Fieldwork Dallas takes the "fun and easy" out of focus groups. I really enjoyed it when I was a poor high school and college student. Fieldwork Dallas is a company that I would not suggest you participate in focus groups with. They make you do a lot of extra work in order to get that 100 dollars (which is not guaranteed). I signed up to be entered into their database about 2 months ago and was finally picked to participate in a study. I received a call to verify my answers, then was told I would be called again to re-verify my answers. I work a 8-6 job, so it was very hard to connect with the company in order to re-verify my answers. They will call you in the middle of the day and if you work like me, you call them back when you have a free minute (like on a lunch break or in-between tasks) and they NEVER pick up the phone. After about 6 back and forth rounds of phone tag, I re-verified my answers and was scheduled to attend the focus group on a Monday afternoon. NOT JUST YET...you have to do "homework" before you participate in the study. Finally on the day of my study, I left work early and drove to lovely Addison entered their office and was given a form to re-verify my answers AGAIN! So here's a little research for the research company: ask too many times and answers are most likely going to change (court room research). After every hoop they had me jump through and driving all the way to their office, I was told that my answers changed and I no longer qualified to participate for the study and would not be compensated for my time. Wow, just wow. Very unprofessional practices and poor communication. There is a reason your company is in Addison, TX and not someplace reputable like NY or LA. Just not worth it. There are other marketing research companies I can give my opinions to who won't make me do extra work or turn me away at the office. Fieldwork is the 2nd worst market research study with focus point being the worst. They tell you to subscribe for email alerts for upcoming studies, but then the emails stop coming. Plus the process of speaking to their agents is the worst. They have turned me down for a study way at the end of of a phone call many times. Literally I have spends hours on the phone with fieldwork only to not get into a study. You will be luck to get a study with them once a year. Terrible! read more

Love the market research opportunities Fieldwork Dallas offers. If you attend your research study 20 mins early, you and the other earlybirds go in a drawing for an extra $50. Once everyone is there, since they overbook their studies in case of no shows, some people get to go home WITH payment without staying for the study. In the actual studies, there are always professional market researchers who are very up front about how it will go. All my studies have ended before their designated time, were easy, and end in easy, convenient payment in the form of a visa gift card. I have no complaints! Fieldwork dallas is GREAT! This is an easy way to make extra money. I've participated in two surveys - I won't sign up for any less than $200 since I work full time and it is not that easy for me to attend the meetings. Yes, being asked the same questions twice is a pain, but well worth walking out of the meeting with a great VISA gift card! One of my studies was for t-shirts that we received free and were able to keep. $200 and some t-shirts....I'll take that any day! For those who give low marks to this company, they need to accept that you have to be patient and accept the terms in order to make this truly easy money. It is worth it. The staff is top notch and they make the waiting area super comfortable, lots of snacks and drinks. read more

I personally feel like they discriminate for the ones here in Dallas Texas. It seems like they hardly ever call on African Americans to sit in on there study's or to be chosen. Yea they will call us but then say they our answers are conflicting when clearly we are giving our own answers and opinions and they use that against us and never pick us. I was picked once and when i went in there two 2 of us and 6 whites. What a coincidence and i feel like it needed to be told because how can you have a company like this and say that your fair across the board and choose on all races when in reality you don't and it needs to be addressed to upper management and also for the world to see how they treat all races differently and not equally. Very nice company to work with. Company is a very legitimate focus group. I have attended 4 focus groups over the last 2 years and they are incredibly professional. To sign up with them, just do a search for the company and follow the links to get into their database. When a focus group comes up that matches your criteria you receive an email prompting you to fill out a short survey to make sure you meet their clients criteria. If you meet the criteria, you will receive a phone call from a representative that will ask you extra questions and set up a time for you to join the group. When you show up parking is easy and validated, be sure and bring a photo id (drivers license). Check in with the receptionist and you will be escorted to a waiting room with beverages and usually some sort of food, so arrive early and eat! Once everyone has checked in that is in your group, they take you to a nice meeting area and start the conversations. Best part....when you leave, the receptionist hands you an envelope with your name on it and guess what's inside? CASH! Cold hard CASH! Really an amazing company. If I had a business, I would most definitely use Fieldwork and if I was a consumer (which I am), I would keep filling out those surveys. First time legitimate focus group I have ever found. read more
