This whole two-day debacle started off really Rocky, but read the entire review…read more So I'm stuck in Macomb Mississippi, because my truck is broken down and won't be ready till Monday. Needless to say, that means I'm on foot... I needed to get a voluntary drug screen. I chose this place because it was only a mile away and they were open until 6:30 p.m. So on the blistering Mississippi heat, I make my walk to the clinic. I arrive at 5:28 p.m. There's a girl at the counter and a girl coming out of the back. They both greet me. I return pleasantries. I pulled my phone out and said "I need to get".... And the one girl says "ohhhh we stopped doing those at 5:30." And I said "what? Drug screens?" And she says yeah. So I asked them what time it was, and they say "5:29". 1 minute? Seriously? It's already paid for, and all you have to do is scan a stupid barcode on my phone. It doesn't take more than 1 minute to piss in a cup. So in a nutshell, I'm guessing that they were too focused on getting out there to than to help a guy who walks a total of 2 miles for absolutely nothing in the Mississippi Summer sun. They were nice enough though, to tell me that I can go ahead and walk back tomorrow between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Fast forward to this morning. I got up around 8:00 a.m., had breakfast, a cup of coffee and about 6 cups of water and once again resumed the Trek back to the clinic. I got in about a quarter to 9:00. Both same ladies were there, and recognized me immediately and summoned me over. I did the necessary paperwork and emails, and within a couple minutes I was called to the back to urinate. I go to leave my specimen, but I'm only able to fill the cup up a quarter of the way. It has to be half full to be a worthy specimen. I fill out a shy bladder form, and they tell me I'm allowed 40 oz of water, and my bladder should refill within 30 minutes. I have a pretty strange body, because of my physicality and dietary choices so I figured this was going to be a lost cause. I drank my water, waited about 45 minutes and went back in to give another sample. I didn't feel that I had to go, but I was actually able to. Upon finishing the deposit of my specimen, I go to pull my shorts up and my specimen cup slips out of my hand all over the wall and toilet and floor. The one really nice girl tells me that they can't give me any more water. At this point it's about 10:45 and in order for me to be able to give a specimen without getting a voluntary refusal, which would really go against the FMCSA and my potential company, the company would have to pay them $250 an hour until I'm able to give a specimen or basically screwed. I asked the other girl up there if I'm able to try to go again, and they both pretty much assured me that it's medically impossible for me to be able to urinate again in such a short amount of time, but I needed to squeeze it out. I went back at 10:58 a.m. and was able to give a full specimen! The one nurse told me that I have set a record because typically that never happens. So now that that is done, she puts my specimens and test tubes and puts them on their side for me to initial and all of a sudden it starts leaking all over the counter. Yes people this is my luck in life. She was able to salvage my specimen so I wouldn't get a refusal (even though it was voluntary screen). The other nurse apologize to me for not taking me yesterday when I had came after she had learned that I had walked as far as I did. 11:00 a.m., and already coming into the 90s, they were nice enough to drive me back to my hotel a mile up the road. What started off as a very frustrating visit, and me leaving pissed off, grew to be a pretty pleasurable experience despite my constant bad luck. Thank you ladies for accommodating me, and it was nice hanging out with you! On another note, the patients that were in and out all seemed happy as they left.
