I told him to take me home and then the practioner walked away. The nurse mumbled something about calling the police. We were in shock I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

If you love your family, do not, under any circumstances take them here. My mother is a COPD…read morepatient, prone to pneumonia. Both times she went to this hospital for pneumonia, she was put into respiratory acidosis by the physicians at this facility. I, being a nurse, had to inform the staff, both physician and respiratory that you do NOT put a patient with COPD on 4 liters of oxygen to keep their saturation at 100. I then had to demand that they draw ABG's on her because they refused to do so even though she was showing all signs of respiratory acidosis. When the blood gasses were finally drawn, she was in acute respiratory acidosis which, can be fatal if not treated. They did not change her bedding at all during her 4 day stay, never bathed her, were extremely rude and released her in worse condition than she had been admitted in. When we demanded to see her "regular" pulmonologist so that he could oversee her care, we were told that they would not consult with him as, she had not been admitted under his care. They have a bunch of interns that know NOTHING about the history of these people and flat out do not care to consult with the physicians that do. It is beyond pathetic, it is downright deplorable. In four days, we saw the admitting physician a total of twice.
