I've been a Fidelity Premier customer for over two decades, primarily because my employer's 401(k) was held there. The service had been acceptable until recently. Following my estate planning attorney's advice, I instructed Fidelity to move certain assets among my family's Fidelity accounts. Then, out of nowhere, Fidelity's Back Office placed a restriction on one of my accounts without any explanation. I contacted my account manager via text and email and called the Premium Support line multiple times -- each time I was told the "Legal Team" was still reviewing the case, with no timeline or further details provided. After two months of silence, Fidelity abruptly sent me an account termination email -- again, without any reasoning or justification. It's astonishing how a firm of this size can treat long-time clients so poorly, while other top-tier private asset management firms consistently go above and beyond to serve their customers. Stay far, far away from Fidelity -- a bunch of incompetent and clueless cowards hiding behind their desks, afraid to face their own customers. read more

I have been with Fidelity for five years now, and couldn't be happier. Before we made any decisions about our default portfolio choices, we met with our assigned consultant, who spent more than two hours discussing our investment concerns, our family situation, and what we were planning with respect to an upcoming retirement. After that meeting, we had another one scheduled to discuss our options and were pleased with the suggestions that matched our priorities and risk tolerance. The team of advisors that he works in tandem with have all been highly professional and helpful. I was initially skeptical about working with a large company like Fidelity, but I am happy to admit I was wrong--they have been terrific partners. read more

Terrible processing of rollovers. First was years ago with my son. More recently with my IRA rollover. They withheld state taxes for the rollover, had to wait over 30 minutes on hold to get situation fixed and a week later still don't have a check for the error on their part of tax withheld. I am now no longer a customer. I retired from the financial industry and this is tge only company that continued to foul transactions up. read more

This review is about a particular Financial Consultant I worked with Caitlin Doucette.  Caitlin lied to me, was unprofessional, disrespectful, and not working in my best interests as required by a Fiduciary. She was 20 minutes late on the first call. Messed up my Retirement planning data, resulting in a 45K expense that we could not trace and she had to call tech support to remove it. On the second call kept pushing for paid Wealth Management services even though I stated I was not interested. Asked me the client to demo for her how to create model portfolios. It's her job to show me how to use the tool. She kept asking me to transfer assets to a retail account and use paid Wealth Management services. When I again refused she declared me too poor to work worth because she can't put me on her books. And now I don't qualify for any Consultant services. But out of the "goodness," of her heart will arrange to speak with a brokerage Consultant.  I felt demeaned. disrespected and it was a waste of my time. She lied, I do qualify for consultant services and have for many years before my account grew. She is incompetent as a Financial Planner and does not have the interpersonal skills to work with people. Was only concerned about increasing her wealth and not as a fiduciary to me, the client. Perhaps she is racist. I am a person of color and my previous interactions with Fidelity personnel have been wonderful in the last 30 years. I was and am still livid about the treatment I received and am considering transferring all assets to the other brokerage firm I have had an account at for over 20 years. Caitlin is the most horrible Financial professional I have ever interacted with and has created distrustful feelings about  Fidelity for me. read more

Amazingly poor customer service. The rep I spoke with once has not responded to emails, voicemails, or texts in a week. I left a voicemail for the "branch leader" and he is also ignoring me. If you phone the main Fidelity 800# you will be on hold forever (I can handle about 45-60 minutes of the clip art hold music before I give up) read more

this review has NOTHING to do with this particular office, but Fidelity as a company. It's one of the WORSE investment company anyone can put ANY money in. We put in $5000 for our kids' 529 college fund back in 2007 hoping that it'll increase over time, and the stocks are TERRIBLE!! the 5+ yrs that has passed, we lost over $3000 and finally "gained" some back, but our balance as of 1/19/2013 is still just below $5000. We're planning to open another 529 account with ANOTHER investment company since it seems their stocks are much better and CLOSE our Fidelity account. Wish we hadn't waited this long to do so. Would've LOVED to see my kids' future college fund balance increase more than what we had put in. read more

In my dealings with the Fidelity Investments personnel at their Bellevue, WA location, their professionalism and behavior resonates that of a Used Car Salesman. Every time I leave Fidelity's office, I feel like I need to take a shower. I've also grown tired of Fidelity's "let me get back to you on that" response by typically running to a backroom somewhere or by making a phone call in order to get the answer after what I thought was a reasonable financial question. At Fidelity, I have to deal with all these question gatherers, who then run around trying to get me an answer. Why can't I bypass all these people and just go directly to that very ONE person at Fidelity who has all the answers? Who does the employee training at Fidelity anyway? What about Fidelity's online trading tools, you ask? Don't bother, these tools are not very robust nor are they easy to navigate around for the Active Trader. Sadly, when I call their #800 Customer Service, it can either be hit or miss....meaning you might speak to someone who actually understands the subject matter or you might get someone who responds with answers like: "I think....", "it might....", "it should...". Oh yeah, real confidence boosters getting these kind of answers when they are also managing your money at the same time!! This past year, Fidelity has messed up on several important items for us and as a result we are now transferring all our accounts elsewhere. read more

My 410k plan has always been with Fidelity, but my IRAs and stocks were with another firm before I moved to Bellevue, WA. I transferred my IRAs and stocks to Fidelity after my move and I am very happy with Fidelity Investments. Fidelity reimbursed me the fees that my previous investment firm charged me because I left them. Fidelity has good investment options. So far, I have had three Fidelity agents, and they never pushed me to do this and that. All of them are very helpful. My current agent guided me to make direct charitable donations from my IRA. read more

This review is for the corporate Fidelity and not this branch (although my account is here which is why I choose this branch) I have a 529 account that takes WEEKS to make a payment to the university - a large well-known public university. You have to wait 2-4 business days for the investments to sell and then inexplicably they don't support echecks or electronic payments. Instead, they use a 3rd party bill pay server to snail mail it. In my case they claimed to have mailed it on Jan. 5th and as of Jan. 12th (5 business days and 6 mailing days) later the university has not received it. My payments are late now. Thanks Fidelity for taking all my investments and making it extremely difficult to use for the purpose of the account. read more

Fidelity is one of the worst companies if not the worst I have ever worked with as a client. Poor trained staff and bureaucratic system! They do not deserve to any business from me. Just creating a simple brokerage account would take more than 4 weeks, many interactions with incomplete requests for more information and still incomplete. I will not give them more business from this point on. read more
