Fidelity has my brokerage and 401k firm for at least 15 years, and have helped me navigate through the craziness [both good and bad] of our ever-changing economy. The portfolio managers and the team of experts available are amazing. They seem to be well versed in wealth management and are always available to answer questions. Whether you are an independent investor or need planning, I highly recommend the multitude of services Fidelity makes for one's future. read more

I would have to say this was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had trying to get literally $350 from my dad's 401(k). The amount of documentation I had to provide and all the different stories I was told every time I called was ridiculous. They really have no clue what they are doing. Pretty scary. At one point they actually told me I was gonna have to have it probated. Good thing I didn't listen to them. read more

The employees don't follow through with helping their clients. They leave looses, thus causing problèmes later.

A nice location with friendly staff. Coffee station is also nice. My only problem is the limitations the location has to access investment accounts. We were supposed to need an advisor and instead sat in an office and talked on our cell phone to them. Communication error. We will try this again in 3 weeks. read more

Not helpful, mostly an online company. Tried to open a rollover Ira and couldn't get verified online or by phone. So I opened elsewhere. Mt spouse has an account so was trying to keep it in the same institution read more

The physical site was not very helpful. I was directed to call in for help instead of a face to face meeting, which I prefer.

I have accounts at both, but I'm generally more pleased with Fidelity than I am with TD Ameritrade, the latter's Canadian ties notwithstanding (yeah - my allegiance is still with my former 'mother' country, especially in matters of 'hockey'!) Fidelity just seems to have it together more whether it's in the matter of fees (TD charges $7 a trade, but they did match the $5 Fidelity price after I asked for it), website, or ... in person. Where just weeks ago they 'couldn't find my account' at TD across the street because she copied my account number wrong (despite my repeating it), the folks here at Fidelity seem much better trained. Case in point, when you come in, they (were trained to) ask you whether you have an appointment - if you did, you would 'jump the line' because they would tell you to have a seat as they let your rep know you're here. The space is bright and airy (TD's is nice too, but not as spacious), with stations where you can check on the market if you have to wait. My only nit to pick - if it's between Jan 1 - Apr 15, you shouldn't have to ask the customer whether he/she wants the IRA/Roth deposit to be for 'this' year or 'last year', if both are options - just CONFIRM instead that the previous year should be filled up first, since no one in their right mind would do anything different - like I said, a nit :-D read more

One star for the coffee machine. Came here to open an account but never got past the front desk. Asked me personal questions in front of other customers like my social and what my income was for last year. Couldn't answer questions I had so she put me on the phone w a specialist "still standing at the front desk" who continued to ask very personal questions. All in all your opening an account online onsite when coming here. No questions answered and only more confused and frustrated leaving here today. read more

One star is two too many!! Have only dealt with Fidelity Investments through my Financial Advisor via telephone, so this is not an indictment on the store fronts. In a nutshell they are incompetent and possibly a bunch of liars. My wife and I transferred money from our employer to a tax deferred Roth in two separate phone calls. I got a good agent. My wife got what sounded like a trainee. My transfer went fine. My wife's transfer was put in a taxable account (not what we requested). We called to correct the problem and were told it would take 48 hours to review the recording of the request. 72 hours later we called back. Then we were told that whoever said 48 hours was wrong, it would take a week. After a week of not hearing from them, we called back. This time we were told 2 weeks. Again we heard nothing so we called again. We were told that the recording was being evaluated by some board and we would hear something in 48 hours (again). If you aren't keeping track, we are now a month into our request. Again no call from Fidelity so we call again. (By the way, you never can get the person you talked to previously.) Finally we got somebody in their office with a brain, and she was appalled by the run around we were getting. She could see the record of all our calls on her computer. She promised to look into it and call us back. (We heard that a few times before.) But she did call back the next day and told us that the recording indicated that we asked to put the large sum of money in a tax-now account. (Who in their right mind would do that?) So I asked to hear the tape for myself, and she said that was not possible. That tells me that the tape did not support Fidelity's position and they screwed up. It cost me a 5 figure tax bill. BEWARE...they're INCOMPETENT...and LIARS. read more

I've been a Fidelity customer for 40 years and have better than most accounts with Fidelity. I experienced a personal loss and am in the midst of reworking naming and beneficiaries. Fidelity has so much bureaucratic B.S. abut notarized paperwork, funding of accounts, check writing priveleges, etc. It would have been easier to go to another investment house. When reps call, they cannot even get first name right let alone second. STAY AWAY. read more

I waited 1 hour to get a friggin password from the customer service people at this branch, as soon as I can I will be moving my money to Charles Schwab. read more

No fee checking! I've had a lot of different accounts over the years. Every once and while I need to visit a branch to deposit checks...and everyone at this location is friendly. I love all of Fidelity services. Especially since there aren't any fees for most of the accounts. read more

This office has poor customer service. The customer service from the Fidelity 800 number is far superior. If you need trade information or have any questions, bypass this office. read more

WARNING!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! On Sep 2015 we transfered 250k into the fidelity from my wellsfargo account after we recently sold our house and made our moved to Florida. I proceeded to change my address to a close family friend until our tenant was ready to move out of the condo we had rented. Fidelity froze my account and asked me to come in the branch in Altamonte Springs and verify my information due to the change of address, which I provide my drivers license, social security card, birth certificate, power of attorney, title documents proving the sale of the house and an utility bill for the address where we where receiving our mail. They then decided to close my account for unknown reasons and told me I would have to get wellsfargo to reverse the ACH transfer to the account. I went to the Wellsfargo office and explained the situation to my customer representative Hope Stiles which filed for a ACH dispute which Fidelity proceeded to tell wellsfargo that they where working with me personally to get my funds back which was a complete lie as I wouldn't have pursued such actions if it wasn't for their lack of communication and cooperation to return our money. Over six months later and Fidelity still has our money and has made no attempt to return the funds that where transfer. I am going to file complaints with the pertinent government agencies, SEC, consumer affairs, BBB, The complaint boards, ripoffreport.com, occ.gov, helpwithmybank.gov and every other agency we can so this does not happen to anyone else. We are getting ready to file a lawsuit if they are not willing to fix this issue immediately as we have dealt with enough of this nonsense. It appears that Fidelity is trying to rob me and my family of our hard earned money and we will not allow that to happened. This company can not be trusted, they recently lost a lawsuit filed KELLEY VS FIDELITY INVESTMENTS by their own employees due to their practices. read more
