The teller, who is a notary public, greeted them by name and walked us through the process of a title transfer. They notorized the title and sent us on our way with a warm smile. If we lived in Midway, I would definitely use this branch.

I explained everything to Addy and she followed through with the exact training and knowledge she received from whomever trained her properly. She knows her job and was exceptional and kind. Anyone can cash a check but very few people can make a visit pleasant. The Stratford Review Absolutely horrible and unknowledgeable employees in the Drive-Thru. I was aware that there was a $10 fee to cash my paycheck from my employer at Hawks Florist, because I'm not a member.. that wasn't the issue we had. I have been cashing checks since February from the same employer. However the woman in the Drive-Thru all well knowing it was a business account, preceded to call my now disgruntled ex employer.. she then came back and said she couldn't cash it, it was over the maximum.. #1.. if you were trained properly you would have looked at the check and have made that decision when first receiving it. However the maximum for all first national Banks between Charlotte, Greensboro and Winston-Salem verified there is a $800 maximum. My check was $454. The woman then said 'do you not have a bank you can do this with"... I knew that she was being prejudiced after calling my previous employer and my previous employer trying to make my life a little more difficult. That the woman in the Drive-Thru made up a lie hoping that I would not follow through with verification. I ended up cashing out my check with the very friendly people at the Arcadia branch. I then called the Stratford branch manager and gave her all the information over the phone where she verified it was a business check. I explained to her that we told the woman in the Drive-Thru it is a business check and it was clearly stated on the check the name of the business. She also called the business to verify.. The branch manager Stacy Waldrup (SP) then place me on a hold for a brief moment. When she returned instead of apologizing for the lack of knowledge or prejudice that was bestowed upon me in the Drive-Thru from the drive-thru employee, she proceeded to do damage control and made an excuse that the woman in the Drive-Thru had no idea it was a business account...... The entire branch is not a great experience from the drive-thru all the way up to the branch manager. I will definitely be placing this review on Yelp as well and letting everyone else know not to come to this branch.. the two stars precedes itself very well.

They do not respect privacy by leaving office doors open allowing everyone to hear other customers business. We went to deposit a large closing check drawn on Truist into our account and withdraw funds. The response was, what are you going to use the money for, with a jack o lantern smirk. When we told him what we use the money for was none of his business, it put a bigger smirk on his face. He went into a big speech as to why they do it. Finally, I told him I have stage 4 cancer and if I wanted to give it all away it was none of their business. I was then told it would take 2 weeks to clear and 3 weeks to be able to draw from. When we told him it was unexceptable he said we would have better luck at Truist with a smirk. I asked him if he thought this was funny. Jason of the Oak Ridge office snickered. At that point, we decided to leave the arrogance and insulting abuse. We went to Truist, who treated us with the utmost respect. Our funds will be available in 2weeks. In conclusion, the Bank of Oak Ridge is a very small fish appearing to struggle in today's world. We have decided to move to a national bank.

This is the absolute worst bank I've ever done business with…read more 1. They made me drive to a branch to do a wire transfer (it's 2024) and told me the charge was $16 and then charged me $30. 2. They made me drive to a branch to make a principle only loan payment (again, it's still 2024). 3. I made a cash payment to my loan and when it didn't post after a week, Susan Alley told me "I have a feeling it will post tonight." It didn't. 4. When I inquired why the balance of my loan in online banking was way wrong, I was told to ignore online banking and that everything was ok. These people clearly don't know how to do their job and their job is to handle our money. Obviously, I'll be switching banks.

The building itself is looking dated especially inside. Carpets and surfaces are well worn. This is the kind of bank that loves its customers.. it's regular customers that carry big balances. Let your balance drop, or have an issue, or need something else. Forget it. You will get treated like a criminal, carded, and given dirty looks. Very disrespectful. This bank makes my life difficult when I have to deal with them. Which is not very often thank goodness. Given the choice of using this bank or no bank I would take none. The worst.
