Some will melt your heart they are so cute. There is a carousal of boxed dog cards near the door. If you have a favorite breed, it will probably be there. They do have a cat section but it is rather limited. They seemed to have a larger variety of treats for cats last time we were here. The bison liver treats were our kitties favorite. Love our local Fideaux pet boutique! We always find a treasure! We've been in many times over the years - purchased a plush dog bed, treats, toys, leads, dog note cards, dog gifts, and more. Stopped in recently for a new collar and harness. I went in with both pups and they were over-stimulated by all the treats and toys at eye level! Thankfully the two employees were gems and helped us find and try on the collars and harnesses. We found a sturdy Ruffwear harness for one, and will probably return to get one for the other pup. As we shopped and looked around, my pups helped themselves to the dog treats smartly displayed in bins on the floor. They loved the bacon treats! So we had to get some of those to take home too. I always enjoy visiting small pet stores because they always have unique items. This wasn't the case with this one. There was a limited selection of treats. They did seem to have toys and other accessories, but I didn't see anything that sparked my interest. I did buy a few treats because I needed to get some to make it through the week. My pup liked them, and they were fairly priced around the same as any other natural treat you buy. I wasn't greeted; the two employees there were talking to themselves and not offering much customer service. All in all, I wasn't impressed, but I might have what you're looking for. read more

The staff was friendly & even talked me into a "baked good" for my pup & she loved the pretzel shaped treat. This is definitely a boutique pet store with the prices to show for it. I came in here with friends after going to a local tasting room to try & find something for my super dog. They have a large variety of stuff for dogs & cats from collars, harness & leashes to sweaters, jackets, bedding & gourmet treats! I mean what dog can resist a Beef Bourguignon recipe dog treat? There are books, toys & even CBD products for your furry friend. After wandering through the store I ended up buying a squeaker toy for my dog that was fashioned after a Johnnie Walker bottle but instead it was called Johnnie Dogwalker, Ruff Label, Old Scottie Whisky. Sadly my dog played with this maybe 3 minutes & the squeaker stopped working. I felt around the toy to see if the end maybe popped out but it still felt intact. I'm sorry but for $18.43 which included tax (I had no idea of the cost as I didn't see a sign. I was in sticker shock when I was told the amount), I would expect this toy to last longer than 3 minutes. Heck my dog has several toys that I've bought him as well as the hand-me-down toys from previous dogs & he has not destroyed the squeakers. I just think this was poorly made by whatever company made it. I called & left a message on the answering machine the next morning with no return call. I called the day after that & finally reached the owner. I explained about the defective toy & asked if I could come up on the weekend & exchange it (I live about 40 minutes away). The owner wasn't too thrilled & said my dog broke it. I explained that he hasn't destroy any squeaker toys that I've bought him along with the old ones, so she said she would allow an exchange just this once. I went back up on 03/13/21, wandered a bit until I could talk to someone & started looking at all the prices which gave me the old sticker shock again as everything was over the top expensive. It was my turn to talk to the gentleman at the register, I mentioned that I was told I could exchange the toy & he was very nice & polite & said no problem as he had a note stating that I would be coming in. Would I come back here to shop for my fur baby even if I was in the area? Probably not as it is just over the top expensive & honestly with the attitude I got I'd rather spend my hard earned cash elsewhere. This is when I wish Yelp allowed 1/2 stars as I would give this store 3.5 stars (3 just doesn't feel right and 4 seems too much). read more

It was great last year when we visited. We bought two Halloween costumes and we were hoping to do the same this year. Unfortunately, the store smelled of cat urine and we couldn't stomach the smell so we made a quick u-turn. So this is definitely a chic boutique doggie store in the midst of downtown Healdsburg, so before wandering in, just understand that it can be a little pricey. I really liked the selection of goodies though and customer service was friendly. They do have a good range of different things, and you can spend as little or as much as you want. I bought a few treats by the counter for a couple bucks, but I also bought some healthy treats in a baggy (that my dog loooooovvveeessss by the way) for like $16.95. While I wouldn't get the $16 treats every day, I'm happy to spoil my little one every once in a while and I only make it up to Healdsburg like maybe twice a year, so I'll def always stop by here. If you're looking for toys, they had a huge selection as well, including this super cute one that said Woof Cliquot! If my dog liked toys like that, I would've def bought it. They also had a wide selection of beds, bowls, and the cutest shirts. If they sweatshirt hoodie that said Life Happens, Dogs Help had been without the hood, I would have bought it as well. Lots of holiday themed merch available as well, since I went in before Thanksgiving. I wish they hadn't run out of the doggy treat advent calendar because it sounded super cute, but Lilo loved what I did get her. She absolutely loved the West Paw Freeze-Dried Raw Dog Treats ($16.95) and the Bixbi Pocket Trainers in Peanut Butter Flavor ($12.95), and ate the ones I got from the counter for a couple bucks in the car pretty fast lol. I've always loved this store as it is next door to one of my favorite restaurants. When I went in today, the store clerk made a point of greeting or engaging with every person other than me. As I have two dogs who constantly wear through their collars, I was interested in purchasing new ones. But the clerk couldn't be bothered to help me and I could not help but look around and see all the patrons were white, with the exception of myself. Wow this place is pet-tastic! I spotted it across the street and just because the way the door display was set, I knew we had to pop in. This is a top notch pet store for dogs where you can get all sorts of fun collars, beds, clothes, toys, and snacks. They also have a few things for cats. The girl behind the counter was nice and helpful and everything was displayed so well. I don't even have a dog (my girl does) and I was still very entertained while I was there. What a sweet pet supply store. If you have a fur baby, this is the place for your treats and toys. Delightful displays to entice the eyes are scattered throughout the store. I'm sad I didn't have long to browse. Due to it being near Halloween when I was here, I bought for my two kittens bat shaped toys with catnip and several edibles. The prices were quite reasonable, considering this is a higher end pet boutique. I wish my border collie was still alive as they also have great items for dogs. So very disappointed! My partner and I were there this past Tuesday afternoon looking for dog beds. I spent at least 5 minutes trying to find a price on one of them, not one of the 3 girls behind the counter asked if I needed help... They were too busy chatting and looking at their phones and laughing. I know that my $300+ dollar sale may not be much to you but I will be taking my business somewhere else where it might matter. I've been to Fideaux many times without my dog and every time I the ladies were always nice and helpful. I brought my puppy Dakota and talk about service! The ladies were still top notch and just as helpful, but increasingly because who doesn't love a puppy. Dakota even made dog of the day on their instagram feed. Tons of dog toys and treats and not your typical Petco or Superpet store toys. I picked up a boiled wool squirrel that Dakota chews away. Perfect for her puppy teeth. Asta, my mom and I were walking around town after lunch, and Asta made a bee-line for the store. I was looking at a bed - a super-nice one I'd seen in a catalog. Asta promptly jumped in and pee'd in it. OMG - I was mortified. I went to the customer service lady, and told her "I just bought a bed." She was so nice, so pleasant and so understanding.
