After deciding to return to playing violin after a 33 year lapse, I was referred to Fiddlershop by my new teacher. First let's talk about their violins. The have two main lines, the Fiddlerman and the Holstein. The Fiddlerman line goes from beginner to advanced intermediate playing. The Holstein line starts to copy famous violins throughout history and of course, the price starts to increase with quality. They do also carry violins from other makers but the in house quality is really great value for the price. The entire staff especially Charlie was friendly, knowledgable and extremely patient answering all my questions and playing the different models for me to hear the difference. Even the owner Pierre, came out to help me. I went home with two violins to demo and two weeks later came back to purchase one. Upon arrival, I was again warmly greeted by the staff and again Charlie answered my questions to make sure I was walking out with the right choice for me. Michael ( who makes most of the YouTube videos for the company) also came out to help us and spent almost two hours with me to narrow down my final choice so I can buy my new violin with 100% confidence. He gave me a tour of the entire facility, showed me where they make their videos and introduced my to the staff. What business does that??? In an age where customer service is preached but seldom performed, Fiddlershop has recreated the experience from the ground up. This is a company that stands behind their products regardless if you buy online or in person from their South Florida store. I can say that they took any worry totally out of my purchase and made this experience one of the best I ever had with a business. I am now the excited owner of the Fiddlerman Symphony, a stunning violin that meets all the requirements for both the sound, ease of play and budget I was looking at.

I had an absolute ball taking singing lessons from Aria. I'd been wanting to do it for a long time…read morebut always thought it might be to intense or stresssful but I was pleasantly surprised. It didn't matter that I wasn't a professional or had zero experience, she made me feel like a rockstar in every lesson, which was pretty amazing. She's so much more than a singing teacher, she's a true vocal coach who understands the music industry inside and out. If you've ever wanted vocal lessons, performance coaching, or even artist development she the GOAT. I was so happy she offered Zoom lessions since her studio is in another state! This was something I'd always wanted to do, and I'm so glad I finally gave myself the chance..

I didn't know if it was realistic but I'm going for it because it's a dream that keeps me awake at night. The truth is, with my last vocal coach it would take 12 weeks to accomplish what I learn in one or 2 weeks with Aria. It's so much fun, she makes me feel comfortable and I get a super dramatic improvement every time. Anyway, I am somewhat critical of my vocals still but now have the confidence to get on stage with pop. I actually got a call back for America's Got Talent. I have to owe it to singing lessons with Aria because I auditioned last year and heard nothing back. I hired the Olympic level coach for voice, and got Olympic level results. It's a yes for me and she's super nice.

Four hours before a birthday dinner I came to the Guitar Center to find an electric acoustic…read moreguitar. Visually incredible as soon as you enter the store. Guitars floor to ceiling affixed to the walls. The big sign saying Acousic Instruments was all the way in the back of the store and was the place I needed to find my new toy. Small room with a nice selection of electric and non- electric guitars of various colors and styles. The staff members explained a few of the items and I chose a well made Taylor guitar and sat next to the provided mini amplifier. I was severely rusty but sounded OK, but not band ready of course. The guitars were priced from $275 to $1100 and will have to do more research before I pull the trigger and spend my cash. There is a strong emphasis on drummers interests with a full wall of just drumsticks and two areas of assorted drums where you can jam out on the skins. The speaker and PA rental room was dramatic so I had to take a short video. The front room offers musical programs with private lessons from an instructor. Based on what I experienced, this is definitely the place to explore any musical interests.

Prices are waaay higher than on line stores like Sweetwater, Music 123 etc…read more PLUS...the on line stores offer free shipping unlike Guitar Center. I have also found that GC stores either hire bozos or simply don't train their employees....they seem to have no knowledge the items they sell. Oh yeah...one more thing. Guitar Center's in store inventory is extremely shallow. More often than not you have to buy it then wait for delivery to the store then go pick it up.
