We switched to them in 2018 I believe and never have looked back. Every one we interact with is amazing and the customer service is great. We are located in San Diego and with them way north of us, communicate is still great. By the end of January we also get our envelope with all the paperwork in it and all the questions we need to answer and we throw everything in the envelope and send it back to them. In 2023, I got divorced and Chris was still amazing at helping me understand my new way of filing taxes and even helped me understand my the way I should be doing my w4 forms. No way the other places would do that. Once my son started working Chris and everyone explained how to do his w4 and how to maximize his education credits as well. This year I also sent my boyfriend to them and while he did grip about the price of getting the taxes done, he left with some major knowledge and went straight to his HR department and filed out new w4 forms. It is times like this working with a small but yet large company is great. Chris has gotten to know my family and can let us know where we are making mistakes and the price is worth it. I went to Bank of California in Visalia before I could even walk in the lady buzz me in at the door…read moreask me can I help you no my color and her color did not match so I'm guessing that's why she asked me if she can help me before she let me in upon me entering the bank I sat down in the chair and told my teller that I wanted to cash my settlement check I set my check down on the table and immediately two of the ladies told me you can't cash your check here unless you're a member I called before I even got down to Visalia and I spoke to someone I guess they couldn't tell what color I was over the phone they denied me cashing my check I asked the lady what did I need to open a bank account she told me well it makes no sense to open a bank account because you does not live in Visalia so I told her to give me my check back I immediately left that office and I immediately contacted corporate I made a report let corporate know that I have been racially profiled corporate called me back immediately gave me clearance to cash my $10,000 check without getting charged a money ordering fee nor a check fee I did let them know that I was racially profiled by each individual inside of that bank so I advise you if you are any other color then Caucasian you will not get your check cashed so I advise you guys to use a different branch or bank with someone else other than Bank of California
