Every meal has been perfectly cooked, there is a wide variety of main dishes from which to choose, and several sides. Our personal favorites are the strip steaks, the roasted chicken and the salmon. For vegetable lovers, the creamed spinach is to die for. Portions are very generous. A dinner for two could serve four average eaters. Marcien asks when you want to pick up dinner and it is always ready and hot. Cash or check only. You can put the container in a warm oven if you're not ready to eat. We haven't tried them, but soups and desserts are available. Take advantage of this great neighborhood asset!

A friend of mine raved about the chocolates in Gourmage, so I decided to stop in route to Austin,…read moreTX. Gourmage sells wine, cheese and chocolates...the winning combination. I purchased the pecan chocolate, which the owner Stephanie said was the most popular and she had just gotten a fresh batch delivered. In addition, I purchased a coconut sponge candy and some little food toothpicks (75% off from their Christmas sale). The candies were exceptional...superior quality. The candies were on the pricier side, but well worth the price. I must say small town businesses in Texas are usually bursting with friendly staff. Texans are known for having Southern hospitality. That was not the case at Gourmage. Stephanie was aloof and mostly answered my questions with one word responses. I did not feel welcomed. There was only one other couple at Gourmage at the time. While the candies were delicious, I will likely not return. Customer service is extremely important to me.

It was of reasonable quality and seemed to be real food (of course, one can never know about the sauces, though they tasted ok). What I wanted of course, is someone who either grew up in that culture or learned from someone who did and has been cooking it for several years. I can't say that's not the case here. Maybe I was just put off a bit by the fast food feel of the place. Also, that the chicken, though it tasted decent for fast food, was a little dry and was cut in a kind of weird (standard) shape. I ordered the Greek plate with Greek salad and red skinned potatoes. My wife ordered the spicy Greek plate with Greek salad and basmati rice. Oh, one other comment, one of the pepper I bit into (I think they call it a pepperoncini) was quite spicy--a lot more than I expected. Don't get me wrong, I think we got decent nourishment with decent but not outstanding flavor at a reasonable (for today) price. But, I can't give it five stars.

I googled the item I was looking for and it took me to the website to be able to look for stores that sell it. This store popped up and I called to inquire. The young lady who helped me on the phone was soooooo patient with my 101 questions. I was in awe at all of the product she named off for them carrying for the condition I have and I decided to go in to the store myself and see. I'm so happy I found this place. I was thinking I'd have to drive to San Antonio or order from Amazon to get what I was looking for but I didn't need to. I must say, their prices are a little higher than I was expecting BUT for the convenience and happiness this store brought me today for not having to wait for the product or drive 15+ miles to get the product makes it worth it. One thing I don't like is that in order to get the $10 off deal with the Fivestar app, you have to spend $500 and it has to be in increments of $25 (won't work if you spend $24 today and come back and spend $1 the next day, it has to be at the time of sale that it amounts to $25). Each time you spend $25 you only earn 1 point... I spent a little over $25 so it would be nice to have the remaining roll over towards a future purchase but that's not how they do it. Anyhow, I will try out the products I purchased and if it works, I'll definitely be back!!

I am simply writing this review AGAIN in hopes the manager Michael or owners will view it, as well as to express my dissatisfaction with a shopping experience I had at your store two weeks ago now. Unfortunately, my visit was marred by an encounter with a cashier who was exceedingly rude and unprofessional. During my checkout, the cashier whom is named Jacky, displayed a dismissive attitude and was unhelpful when I had questions about my purchase. Instead of providing assistance, her responses was curt and lacked any semblance of courtesy. This behavior left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable during what should have been a straightforward transaction. Unfortunately this was not the first time I have had this type of experience with this her, it has happened on multiple occasions so I cannot shrug this off as a thought of "she must be having a bad day." Her mood and behavior becomes worse when I want to make a larger purchase to receive my credited points for the transaction. As a regular customer, I have always appreciated the quality of service at your store, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. I believe that customer service is a reflection of the values of your establishment, and I hope that you will address this issue to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. God bless.
