We came here to get sandwiches to go.
We got the BLTO breakfast sandwich and the Jambon, Chèvre, and Pesto sandwich.
The breakfast sandwiches come with their own round bread. The other sandwiches come with an option of baguette or ciabatta.
The BLTO sandwich was pretty dry and underwhelming. The bread was a bit dry. The egg was fully cooked, making it more dry. The most interesting element was the maple Mayo, but the flavor was mostly lost unless you were eating only the bread. Please be more generous with the maple! Also it goes without saying that the bacon is not the typical American thin crispy bacon but the local Canadian bacon.
The ham sandwich was much better. Not quite what I was expecting but delicious. The ham wasn't like your typical ham, it was really soft and tasted more like chicken. The dominate flavor was a roasted tomato and the pesto. The chèvre and the ham got a little lost with the strong flavor of the sauce. Quite messy by the end and the fresh tomato was not really necessary. Baguette was good.
Service was good and everyone was very kind and seemed happy to be there.
It's a very small space and two of the four inside tables were occupied by people trying to do work on their laptops. Casual ambiance with a little corner with art, a record player, and some merchandise (swimsuits and bags - not branded with the shop). There is some outdoor seating as well. read more
