Anyone who know me knows how fussy I am about Italian food. It has to be really good to impress me and Fiamme did just that.
We were seated promptly and handed menus. There was a lot to choose from but not so much that you got lost in it.
We decided to start with a Margarita pizza. Handmade base, fresh cheese, tomato and basil was hot and delicious.
For the mains, I had "Ragu Di Coda Di Bue" which is Slowly cooked oxtail ragout removed from the bone and served with strozzapretti pasta. Stunning dish with beautiful flavours that complimented each other. My dining companion had the "Linguini Al Sapori Del Mare" which is a variety of fresh local seafood, sautéed with garlic, chilli, fresh parsley and fresh tomato. He said that it was probably one of the best seafood marinara that he has had anywhere. The seafood was cooked perfectly. Dessert was the Sticky Date Pudding and "Tortino Ai Tre Cioccolati" which is the sweet spongy torte baked with three chocolates. One word for this - amazing.
This is definitely the sort of place you would want to take someone on a 'date night' or even a group of friends. Prices are very reasonable and they also have a very good wine selection.
I am really looking forward to going back here. read more
