So we had to un-enroll her. Also had an experience where there were only 2 kids in the class around 7:45am, and 2 teachers. One teacher was holding a crying toddler, yet the other teacher neglected to comfort our daughter who was screaming at her feet, while she continued to talk to the other teacher. She only interacted with her when she saw me looking at her from the side window. This was day 3 of my daughter being enrolled there. Which completely broke my heart seeing this as a first time day-care mom. I spoke to the director and requested a specific teacher be assigned to my daughter because I noticed she was the most nurturing from what I'd seen, but was told they could not honor my request and assign a specific teacher cause they don't take requests. A few kids had yellow snot running down their noses which also resulted in my daughter having a terrible flu for 2 weeks. Stopping in a couple times during the day we also noticed that her bottle and food was placed on the table and left, and if they dropped or she didn't eat, there'd be little attempt to ensure she has something in her tummy. So she was always extremely hungry and cranky when we picked her up and drank 2 bottles on the drive home from roseland to Montclair. Our experience was not the greatest, but yours may be different. Eventually, her stopping eating and drinking after a week of being there forced us to remove her & we appreciate miss Tessa understanding and issuing us a partial refund.

It has been wonderful knowing that every day he is in a safe, nurturing environment where he feels supported, is encouraged to learn and explore, and has made some really special friendships along the way. Marianne and Alissa do such a great job creating a welcoming community for both the kids and their families. They are both incredibly approachable and responsive, and you can tell they genuinely know the kids and care about them as individuals. We always felt comfortable going to them with questions or concerns, and knew that they truly had our son's best interests in mind. The school has the structure and resources of a larger franchise, but still has the personal, family feel of a smaller, family-run school. The programming for the kids is also a real standout. They regularly bring in special visitors and experiences, which makes school exciting and gives the kids opportunities to experience things they may not otherwise get to do. We are only leaving because we are moving, and we wish we could bring the Goddard School of Montclair with us. We are so grateful for the wonderful experience our son has had there and for all of the people who have been part of his first few years.

Often at times you'll have the floor to yourself (which is kept in great shape) and have exclusive use of the sound system. When the floor is busy we've often been allowed in the smaller rooms (I only dance Latin anyway) at no additional cost or detriment. The only detriment to it now I see are the Friday night socials, which only allow newbies or those registered for their classes to go. Considering a few of my friends are in them and often go to this social, I'm kind of left out. On the other hand though, I could just as easily register for a class and go... The rest of the socials are great, but they do cater to an older crowd then you would typically at a bar scene. In summary: This is a great place for top dancesport competitors and people totally new to the ballroom scene.

The director, Ms. Ariel is one of the first people to reach out if my daughter needs anything throughout the day as well as to help my daughter with anything she needs. She is also very open with communication which i find to be a huge comfort. Her teachers have been incredible from the infant class with Ms. Gigi, loving her as well as supporting and helping me through the early stages and milestones of her first months. Her favorite teacher; Ms. Chantel who has become her support person (as well as mine) has been there for her from learning to roll, taking her first steps, learning to speak, and so much more. She goes above and beyond to make sure she is feeling loved and safe throughout her day. As an educator myself, I am impressed with the curriculum and all of her teachers as she has progressed through the program. They have not only supported her, but have guided her through her milestones as well as educated her. Ms. Frida, Ms. Jacky, Ms. Maylee, Ms. Anna, Ms. Z, Ms. Zeba, Ms. Aimee, Ms. Isabella, Ms. Noelle, and countless others are incredible educators. Not only do they offer classes for pretty much every instrument under the sun, but they also have recording engineering classes, free picture day, rock band groups for the kids, and a whole array of other creative programming. They stay on top of everything and are extremely well organized. Their staff is friendly and accommodating, and their rescheduling program is totally fair. I've seen or heard about at least four parents go off on staff for the most ridiculous reasons, and their staff keeps their cool, straightens it out, and the parents leave. Very happy. Even difficult people find this location to be wonderful in the end. That's real customer service right there. I'm proud to say that. I am a huge fan of this Local community staple and I hope they are here for many many more years to come!!

Kyong has done a wonderful job attracting very well qualified instructors. The proof for us is measured in the development my kids have demonstrated each year. The facilities are all top notch including the rehearsal rooms, waiting areas and recital hall which features an impressive baby grand Steinway. What is also great about the school is the live telecast they provide during recitals. This allows for loved ones to view the recitals live from afar. I should also mention my kids thoroughly enjoy attending the school. The direction they are given is challenging but fun at the same time. And lastly, I appreciated Kyong's level of engagement. The pool area and water are heated and the water doesn't smell of harsh chemicals--all of which is great given that babies can be very sensitive. My daughter's teachers, Orlando and Alivia, are both fantastic instructors who are patient and help the little ones overcome any fears of the water. They slowly and gradually build up new skills, preventing the development of water-phobias. Also, the small class sizes mean that there is plenty of one-on-one attention directly between the teacher and students, so I really feel that she gets a lot out of each class. Thanks to them my daughter loves the water and is well on her way to becoming a safe swimmer.

Unfortunately, as expected Maura was of no help.Instead, she presented a very condescending attitude, smirked after every word/point I tried to make, constantly spoke over me and eventually told me that effective Monday (this conversation was yesterday, Thursday 01/23) my daughter would no longer be allowed in the center if tuition was not paid in full KNOWING that the meeting was about the error that someone on her team made with my tuition. I understand business is business and that just like all of us who have our children in child care, she has a job to follow. Making me waste my time meeting with her knowing she was not going to do anything to help me (keeping in mind she had already said this) , smirking and giggling when it was very evident that I was extremely upset about the situation , dismissing everything I had to say and taking 0 accountability as to how this has been going on for 3 months and she has once again done NOTHING to even try to help me hence why this is the first time I spoke to this individual in the 3 months this has been occurring is absolutely not part of the job she is expected to follow. I will never tell you to not bring your children here instead I would encourage it because again, the center, the staff, the love and care is amazing and truly what made me so sad to have to wake my child up from her nap to take her away from the place that she was so happy and thriving in all because Maura instead of saying "let's come up with a solution" or "let me try to see what I can do to help you" told me my child could not be at the center. However, I will say if you ever have an issue that for whatever reason cannot be solved through the center leadership team, let Maura be the last person you speak to. My experience with Bright Horizons has always been exceptional but it really upset me to see that someone like this represents a company that is so faithful to finding solutions for families.
