It's hard to review a business I haven't used, but the fact I haven't used them is the reason for…read morethe review. A client called me on a Friday to ask me to obtain a quote. I sent off a quick email to Superior explaining clearly I needed the quote *before end of business Monday*. I didn't make it easy for them, I admit, because the client had given me a theme description but no date or venue. But I wasn't asking for a full event proposal, just a quote on some rentals and staff. Monday at 11:30ish, I get an email from Lee at Superior saying he's leaving at 1 but we can talk "today or tomorrow." First indication he hasn't really read my email, since Tuesday obviously doesn't work for someone who says she needs the info Monday. He also says he has questions but, instead of asking them so we can start the ball rolling, suggests only that they exist and that I should contact him. Nice way to speed the process along when your customer's in a rush. He also manages to get my name wrong. I call him within minutes. We talk. He says I'll have something shortly. I call back a few hours later and Joanne tells me he's gone into a meeting, but will have him get in touch with me when he gets out. I call back AGAIN a few hours after that, and he's apparently gone from that meeting to another. It's now 20 minutes before the end of the day and when I explain to her that they've just lost a customer over this, now she gets proactive. Not enough to track Lee down or get me my missing information, but to refer me to someone else who can start from scratch only 20 minutes before my deadline. Apparently a new customer wasn't worth passing the file along, or asking someone to call me, or anything. He just left me hanging, screwing both me and my client. Want to use Superior? Go for it. I'm sure some people have had good experiences. I, however, was left hanging and let a client down because I relied on their promises. Post-script: He finally got back to me with a half-hearted apology and attempt to provide information at 9pm Monday, hours after my client had made her decision, and hours after the deadline I'd given him. My name was still wrong, and while he apologized for getting back to me so late in the day, he didn't really acknowledge that it wasn't just late in the day, it was past the deadline and useless.

For my wedding, I wanted to upgrade from the basic white tablecloths that our venue supplied, but I…read morereally couldn't figure out what company to go with. So many of the companies out there had almost nothing on their website and expected me to put down a deposit without having seen any samples. Enter Around the Table. I sent in an inquiry and Sylvie got back to me very quickly and provided me with options, pricing and sizing of different tablecloths. Our venue has a strange sized table, a square manhattan, which is 5.5"x5.5" and I wasn't sure that every rental company would be able to accommodate this size. Thankfully, Sylvie assured me that they had worked with the Rosewater a lot and gave me the sizing of the tablecloths they typically used for their events there. I wasn't totally sure about the colors, they had about three different colors of blue satin tablecloths - no problem, Sylvie was happy to send out samples for me to view and she even included a few other blue tablecloth sample options that I hadn't considered. It was REALLY useful to be able to see the tablecloth colors in natural light and with the other decor items we had picked. In the end, I ended up changing the original color I had selected and I wasn't disappointed! The satin tablecloths they provided were absolutely GORGEOUS, gave the whole venue an even more luxurious feel and really transformed the space and made it our own. There were no surprises in terms of extra fees or anything and the price point was really economical for my budget. I'll definitely use Around the Table again in the future, Sylvie was just lovely to work with and the quality of materials exceeded my expectations.
