So reluctantly (both him and I) took him to Wilwood Pet Spa. Took some coaching to get him out of his carrier - but once out, Jocelyn was absolutely amazing! She was obviously knowledgeable, kind and respectful of his past 'session' and knew what to do - and not to do. I can not thank her enough. Very affordable and happy to report the puss is resting comfortable. Will be taking him back in a couple of months for a trim and couldn't recommend Milwood Pet Spa more highly! Your pet will love it!!

I have taken my dog to other places that seem like they are in a rush in Halifax and wanted someone who would trim my dog and give her a Springer cut, not just shave her short for summer. I like that he took the time to discuss what I was looking for. He did a really nice job shaping and trimming her ears and 'feathers' on her legs. Everything was blended nicely. My dog does not like the blow dryer and can be nervous but she was treated well, given treats and she was happy when I picked her up. I visited this establishment to get my three cats groomed recently. Their website is simple and easy to navigate, as it should be for a business of this nature. No issues at all with using their website to submit an appt request. They were excellent with phonecall follow ups as well. Once scheduled, I brought my kitties over about 10 minutes ahead of my appt time to get them registered as new customers. Although I have accompanied friends with pets to groomers in the past; this was my first time taking my three kittens to a groomer. They were very patient in explaining all the procedures, I left my cats in their care feeling very safe and confident that they were in good hands. I returned slightly ahead of the agreed upon time to retrieve my furbabies. I was very pleased that they had no problems with me observing them work. Their work area room had a half door, so the lower door was closed while the upper door was left wide open. I was very happy to observe their work area was very clean! Watching them work, it was clear that they were keen to keep my cats safe and comfortable. I never got the impression that they were rushing. Once I had retrieved my kitties and paid for their services. They were again very patient in answering my questions, they were in no hurry at all to make me leave. This was a very pleasant first time grooming experience for me and my cats. I would definitely bring my furbabies back here again!!!

I will never be returning to this location. So far have had…read moretwo horrible experiences with the staff there and I will not be going back for a third. Sunday I had purchased a inflatable cone for my dog at the Elmsdale location, the manager there had told me that if i brought it home and decided it didnt fit/ I changed my mind that I could bring it back as long as it haddent been blown up for full credit, and if I had blown it up then I could get a store credit (which I was fine with). I had left the Elmsdale location and on the way to sackville had decided to return it. It haddent been out of the box, the seal wasn't broken, and I still had the original receipt. Since the sackville location was closer to me than going back to Elmsdale I had decided to go there. I walked into the location being completely ignored by the two workers chatting, looked at the collars and then went to the counter and politely asked if I could return it. The woman who I was speaking to was very rude and told me that she could only give me store credit even though I said I was speaking to the manager of the Elmsdale location. The worker (Anna) was very rude, I had asked to speak to the manager when I had begun to get frustrated, and she had said she was the manager (come to find out, she was the assistant manager, therefore lying about her position). I asked to get in touch with the owner, which I could tell Anna's attitude was becoming worse and she said she would write down my name and phone number and that the owner would give me a call (still haven't received a call). I left upset and drove back to Elmsdale to return for a full refund, and even they couldnt believe that Sackville Pet Valu wouldnt return it. The Sackville location is the closest to my home, I normally buy my dogs food here, but from now on I will be making the drive to the Fall River or Elmsdale location, unless something changes at this location. Customer service is lacking.
