All of their trained employees (including CPDT trainers with over 30 years of experience collectively) were either fired or quit within the span of two days. Since then, a new staff has taken their place, with no one on board to train them in other than the owners. The manager, now, was a manager at Kwik Trip and has no experience with dog behavior which is very troubling coming from a facility that claims to be experienced in this field.
Their website and information all states that they are "positive reward based", due to their past trainers both being R+. However, since the staff change a new trainer has come on board who uses outdated and disproven training methods (dominance theory, which was disproven and redacted many years ago). During classes the instructor alpha rolls clients puppies in front of their owners, causing behavioral fallout due to this abusive "technique".
Do not go here if you genuinely want your pet to receive quality care from people who actually know dogs. There are other options in town for training, boarding, and daycare. read more
