Reyna is a miracle worker!!! My dog is extremely scared of people (there have been instances where she runs away to the other room or doesn't come out of her room). I usually tell dog walkers that they don't have to walk with her but just sit on the couch with her because my dog will be too scared to go on walks with strangers. Reyna miraculously got my dog to go on walks with her on day 1! I've hired dog walkers before and only on day 8-10 were they able to get my dog to trust them to go on walks. Reyna also texted me to ask me what she can do to encourage my dog to eat cause she was worried about her. I highly recommend reyna to all my friends and to all those dog owners who have timid/skittish dogs. She is simply the best ! read more

We booked 12 days of cat sitting services a month in advance in order to go on an international honeymoon. Day 3 of the honeymoon - wake up at 7am to a voicemail letting us know that they do not have anyone to feed or water our cats THAT DAY AND THE NEXT THREE DAYS and to let them know if we have any questions. Uh yeah - a few - do you want us to drop their corpses at your doorstep when we return? And where is our key? And why can't we reach ANYONE on the phone after 30 minutes of calling DURING OUR HONEYMOON?! UPDATE - Finally reached someone and they still don't have an answer for us. Will not give us a direct line to call anyone. They are still holding our key. We are spending a fortune on international calling from Fiji - literally the other side of the planet - and cancelling plans to deal with this. read more

I have not had a good experience with Fetch thus far. I've been trying to get a match for my dog for an upcoming trip, and the representative I signed up with told me that it would take at most 1-2 weeks to find potential sitters to match with. The first sitter they matched me with accepted the reservation for taking care of my dog, but later told me she would be unable to house him. I reached out to customer service again, and they apologized and said they'd find a replacement in 4-5 days. I haven't heard back since. With unreliable sitters and inconsistent customer service I don't think this is a business you should trust your dog with. read more

Lately I am disappointed with Fetch. When I first started using them years ago I met with one sitter and she is the only one who covered my cats' visits. I loved her but she moved to another area. Now I don't know what's going on over there lately but they can't seem to hold on to sitters or find sitters with open availability. Every time I request cat sitting services with my preferred sitter, she isn't available. Then they've had me meet other "backup sitters" and they're never available either. How is it that I've had meet and greets with 3 sitters (1 never reached out to me) and none of them are ever available? I'm sorry but I need 1 or 2 reliable people. I do not want to constantly have to keep reintroducing my 2 cats to new sitters nor do I constantly want new people having access to my home while I am away. I'm giving them 3 stars because when I have used them for services the sitters have been excellent. Just want more reliability so I can have peace of mind when I need to leave town and leave my furry babies. read more

This is the first time I have used Fetch and they definitely didn't disappoint! I have 3 indoor kitties who hate staying anywhere overnight, let alone a week, in an unfamiliar place. So I decided to hire a local pet sitter like we used to back in Austin. Fetch was actually the first company I called and I am so glad I did. I spoke with Laura and set everything up. She emailed my husband and I right away with all the details and who our pet sitter was. A day later Wanda, my pet sitter, contacted us to set up a time for the meet and greet. I met Wanda the very next day and introduced her to my fuzzy babies. Wanda is a kind and gentle soul and someone I trust impeccably with my kitties. Two of my cats are out going and curious while the third is shy with strangers. She was patient with the shy one, Chiana, and talked to her softly everyday she came over. Wanda came over twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. She fed them, scooped their litter, and played with them every visit. She also texted me updates and pictures to help put my mind at ease. She even went above and beyond and wiped down the kitchen counters as well as vacuumed around the litter boxes. Thank you Wanda, your a doll! I will definitely be using their services next time we are out of town and we will most definitely request Wanda again. I loved Fetch and Claudia (still like Claudia) but Fetch really ruined our relationship. When Claudia could no longer take care of our dog, I asked for a replacement sitter with a 2 week notice. They never responded to my email. I followed up and they said they were busy with the holiday season but to look elsewhere if I wanted. As a 4 day per week customer, constant tipper and a customer who had posted not one, but TWO 5-star Yelp reviews, I was shocked they were so willing to let me go. I then reached out to the manager who offered me a 10% discount on a visit IF they found someone. A visit is $22, so he offered me $2.20 off a single visit. That is a JOKE! I have given them thousands of dollars in business, plus tips, and the manager offers $2.20 off. Speechless! I have found alternate pet care and will no longer send referrals to Fetch. read more

My husband and I wish we could give zero stars for this one experience we had. Even if a company says they fully vet their sitters/walkers, we learned the hard way to take the time to run our own check on them to avoid dognapping, pet illness and a trashed home. Also, we'll check that management at the company is smart enough to handle a situation without turning it into an emergency. The whole story -- My husband and I hired FETCH PET CARE of Los Angeles Westside to arrange for a petsitter to stay in our home and watch over our beloved animal companions while we're out of town. We were impressed by their reviews on Google and Yelp. Their website claims "Fetch Pet Care's experienced sitters are background checked, bonded, and insured pet lovers." They quickly set us up with their sitter/walker named Anthony V (AKA Tony) who outwardly seemed like a good candidate to take good care of our dog & cat. So, we agreed to book him for the 10 days we'd be away. In the late morning of day 7, our cleaning crew came in for a routine sprucing and they were so shocked by the ill state of the apartment they felt compelled to contact us. They texted us photos of feces and urine left in various rooms, beer cans & liquor bottles filled our recycling bin, piles of garbage spilling onto the floor and other examples of disarray uncharacteristic to us and our pets. They also told us that a woman was in the apartment with the sitter (who had not been permitted by us), and a strange dog that also was not permitted by us. Alarmed by the situation but thinking it can still be handled rather easily, my husband called Fetch Pet Care to have them address the situation. They told him they would replace the current pet sitter with a more responsible person as quickly and uneventfully as possible. What he didn't know was that the representative from Fetch Pet Care would soon make an irreversible management error that would threaten the security of our dog, cat and home. The Fetch representative called the sitter first to confront him about the situation over the phone, while he still had our dog with him. We found out later that this confrontation then led the sitter to openly put the blame on the woman who was with him and that the woman quickly became unhinged as a result. They argued and then she suddenly disappeared with our sweet, sensitive dog. We were scared out of our minds, though, not knowing what was going on with our poor dog but we couldn't do much else but wait. At some point, we were eventually told that the kidnapper was a diagnosed schizophrenic and possibly more unstable than we'd initially imagined. We were worried sick about any possible misstep that could cause a big reaction from this woman. We kept calling the police, the park rangers, the Fetch representative and even the sitter for updates but for many hours none came. A couple hours later, the woman contacted the sitter again and this time she demanded ransom money from him in exchange for our dog's safe return. Late in the evening, our dog was finally turned over to a representative of Fetch Pet Care. We cut our trip short and returned the very next day. Upon our return we took our dog to the vet for a checkup and though her general heath was okay, she had lost 4lbs in during those 7 days and was slightly anemic. Our cat also looked as if he hadn't been fed in several days but other than that he was fine. Our home was mostly restored by a thorough cleaning & some minor repairs. Still, this never should happen to anyone. Fetch refunded our money and paid for the veterinary and home repair expenses we incurred. While we are trying to be accepting of this gesture, and the owner of FETCH Santa Monica's apologies, it can't erase this horror of a day or the fact that it never would have happened if only they had managed their human resources issue in a more sensible, secure way. Nor would any of this happened if they had properly vetted this sitter before touting him to all of their clients as an appropriate caregiver. I warn everyone to stay far away from Anthony V (Tony) and to fully vet your pet sitters and policies of pet service companies they come from. This guy might trash your home, fail to feed your pets, fail to walk your dog regularly, fail to clean the litter box, and expose your furry loved ones to a potential dognapper as well as another animal that hasn't been approved or proven to be in good health. read more

I highly recommend Fetch Pet Care! They're fabulous! At first, I felt super nervous and aprehensive about having someone we didn't know come into our house and walk our three dogs when we were away, but my feelings quickly subsided when I experienced the fabulous service Fetch offers! The woman from Fetch who walks our dogs, Lori, is beyond five-stars-fabulous! She really cares about each of our dogs and takes the time to write us beautiful notes about how the walks went, what went on during the walks and any treats that were given to them! She will even check in with me in-between appointments just to make sure that all of the pups are doing ok and to let us know that she's thinking of them! We were going away for two weeks over Christmas, and all our usual pet-sitting sources had vanished. So although Fetch! was more expensive than we were used to, we signed up and met with our cat-care savior, Amir. And it was plain from the outset that he was good with our little Sophie, so off we went with only the usual mild anxiety about leaving our pet in the hands of a near-stranger. It was all fine, and that's exactly what we wanted. Amir stayed at our place, gave Sophie plenty of attention, kept her fed and entertained, and reported back to us regularly. He sent photos, asked questions when unsure about something, and on a daily basis reassured us that the kitty was well-kept. When we got home the cat was safe and fit and happy to see us, and the place was also in good shape. If we have any complaint, it's that Sophie got so much attention from Amir that she was a little spoiled when we got home, as if to say, "Where's that nice Amir who I had completely wrapped around my little paw?" That's a good problem to have! They did a great job for us, we'll use them again, and hurray for Fetch! and Amir. read more

I have two rescued pups, and since one of them is exceptionally skittish, they do not travel well. When I'm out of town, I usually leave them with my parents or have a friend stay over at my house, but this past April, I was getting married and all my friends and family were coming with me to our semi-destination wedding in Monterey. Who was going to watch the pups for four whole days? At first I tried looking at all the fancy pet hotels on the Westside, but they were all too expensive, especially for 2 dogs and 4 whole days. I was referred to Fetch, and since the quote was more than reasonable, I set up a meet-and-greet with my pups and our assigned sitter, Holly. I met Holly at her house, and the dogs took to her instantly. In no time at all, the dogs were sitting next to her on her couch, settling in like they were at home. Holly spent some time with the dogs, showed me where the dogs would sleep, assured me that my pups would get plenty of attention. She has a very calming aura about her, and I knew my skittish dog would feel comfortable in her presence. I left the meet-and-greet relieved and confident that my pups would be fine while I was out of town. Each day I was away, I got text updates with lots of pictures. Every picture I received showed the pups lounging in the sun, or hanging out contentedly on Holly's couch. I loved those pro-active status updates! I didn't worry the dogs for a single minute, and it was such a big help, especially since I had a wedding to worry about. When I picked them up, I even got a little report card on their behavior. Found these guys when I had a last-minute pet sitting emergency that necessitated going outside friends and family for cat care. Fetch managed to expedite my paperwork so I could get a sitter for the weekend (which I then had to extend, almost day by day, and they were very cool about it all). Shelagh the sitter was a delight, from the first meeting pre-sitting so I could give her the cat info and med schedule all the way through the process. Not only was she bright and upbeat, she was extremely conscientious, sending me pix of both my cats each morning and reporting on any anomalies she saw (all of which were known, but it did my heart good to know she was looking out for them on her own). I had a similar experience to the most recent Yelper to review this service (Jennifer B) before me. I was excited to find Fetch and impressed by the breadth of services they offer, including transportation for my dog to and from his boarding/daycare facility. I contacted Fetch on a Friday and the initial experience was smooth and great. They have a useful online system and someone reached out to me right away to help me with my service. I told them I needed a service a little over a week away, and they acknowledged it and said it would typically be 48-72 hours before someone was assigned to me. They acknowledged the timeline and I asked if they could try to prioritize setting up a meet and greet due to me going out of town in a little over a week. Someone called me to clarify the address of the dog daycare/boarding facility to which my dog would be delivered (which is .5 miles away from my home in West Los Angeles), but after that, Fetch went silent. I was never matched with a service provider and received no further communication whatsoever. After the 7th day, I sent them an email letting them know that I didn't want to use their service anymore. I received an email back right away, but no offer to make it right or help me with services in the future. Fetch could be a good service provider, but unfortunately they didn't give me the opportunity to find out. It's too bad that I wasn't able to use their services because I work long hours and travel often, ending up needing dog walkers, dog transportation and other care 5-7 days per week. read more

I've had three experiences with Fetch, and they've all been awesome. I was looking for a pet sitter who could come to my home, since my puppy hadn't been vaccinated yet, and we were going to have to leave her by herself for over six hours. After attempting to contact upwards of five pet sitting companies, only three actually called me back (seriously?). The first two were VERY SNOOTY, saying they "didn't do that," to my request for an at-home sitter. Even though it explicitly said on their website that they did! Fetch was the last to call, and even though it was a totally last minute request, they were able to send me a sitter AND do an at-home, free orientation as a get-to-know-you session for my puppy. They sent along Laura, after she called and arranged an appointment with me, and I hate to gush, but she is PERFECT! Such a sweet lady, and you could totally tell she's an animal lover, too! I mean, it's probably easy to love my puppy because she's so cute, but I could tell that even if I had a snarly Rottie, Laura would have tried to make friends even with him :) The two days that Laura sat for us, she sent us updates via text message and pictures of her and Beans having a great day together. I was so absolutely relieved to know that she was there! The third time I emailed them for pet sitting, it was again, completely last minute, AND on a holiday. Not only did they email me back within a couple hours, they arranged another pet sitter after it turned out that Laura had another sitting job that day. Valerie turned out to be awesome, too! She called me to confirm, and also sent texts and tons of photos! Another great lady! Regina was super accommodating in her emails, even though I'm sure it was pesky trying to arrange a sitter on the 4th of July. THANK YOU SO MUCH, REGINA! I can't say enough great things about Claudia my dog sitter and fetch as a whole. Every question I had was answered over email within minutes. The prices are fair and the staff really makes you feel comfortable leaving your pet in their care. The set up was not only easy to do, but it will make it easy to use them for future times. We opted to have our doggies stay with one of their sitters, Claudia. She was so easy and flexible and made me feel if she really enjoyed being with my dogs. They are the sweetest cavalier king Charles spaniels, but I know I am biased! I can tell when they are upset or nervous and they came home tired and happy. I could tell they had a great time! We truly enjoyed the pet sitting service provided by Fetch West LA. My husband and I were out of town for 10 days and we had the pet sitter over 5 times. Fetch service was very professional and organized. They truly care about the pets and only hire the best sitter. Our sitter was attentive, detail oriented, and playful with our 2 cats. When we met her the very first time during the initial consultation, we immediately liked her and had no problem entrusting our babies with her.The consultation session made us feel good about who were going to be taking care of babies. She also kept us informed with how our cats are doing via email while we were away. My wife and I went on a trip out of country for two weeks. The sitter provided by Fetch was very friendly and arrived on time. We could tell that she was very good and probably does the job more out of a love for animals than for the big bucks... On our return we found our cats alive and well. We and couldn't be more pleased with the service and the two sitters we and our felines have come to adore. The Fetch! office staff are always accessible, organized, and knowledgable. Our current sitter Kelly provides email or text updates for each visit, including photos so adorable that we used one in our 2013 family holiday letter. Kelly makes sure the cats retain their favorite rituals like sunning on the balcony, treats hidden in their toys and, on overnight stays, sleeping in our bed so they have a friend to cuddle with. After an especially long trip, she even went to the extra effort of some light house cleaning and having our bed freshly made to welcome us home. Fetch has given us so much peace of mind over the past year and a half. Regina and her staff in the office are always so quick to get back to me and schedule a walker. I freelance so my schedule can be sporadic but they come through! We had Kate as a sitter for a long time in Venice until we moved, and she is AMAZING. I love that I can trust Fetch to always show up and keep my dog safe. I used private sitters before but had trouble with them not showing up, losing the key, etc. NEVER with Fetch! They are so reliable and will get you a backup sitter in case your usual one is on vacation. She provides free consultation with pet sitter, so you can discuss with sitter directly and see how they treat your precious baby. We had Summer and Cindy; and they are very professional and organized. Summer sent us picture every time and we really pleased to see our dog's happy face. I love Fetch! of West LA. I've been using them for over a year now, and we travel quite frequently, and often for weeks at a time. We've had two different sitters and loved both of them. Our current sitter is wonderful, and my cats love her. My hairless cat is VERY friendly, and was immediately trying to get in her arms (while she was standing) by climbing on to the table and luring her in with his cuteness--then sat on her shoulder like a parrot. He loves attention, and she gave him a LOT. My other cat is quite shy, but warmed up to her very fast--which is uncommon. We got some emails from our sitter to update us while traveling, then got a "report card" or letter when we got home that said how the kitties did. I highly recommend them! read more

If I could give Fetch! Pet Care 0 stars I would have. I recently moved to LA so was looking for a pet sitter can use when work or family takes me out of town. These folks have some terrific reviews so I really thought I snagged a good company. I'm sorry to say I can't endorse them based on my recent experience. And here's why: Initially, I was super excited to fill out the really long form asking for all details of what I need in a pet sitter. I thought it would be helpful, so I completed everything as thoroughly as I could. I met the sitter and everything seemed okay. I explained in-person when we met, that they have to sift the litter really well because it's not the scoopable kind. I came home a week later to cat urine on the bed (he went several times on the bed it was still damp when I got home) and my cat had urinated outside of the litter box on the mat too, it was still damp when I got home and smelled rancid. Yes, my cat is picky. He likes his litter thoroughly mixed up after removing feces, etc. His litter will last a week this way before I have to change the full litter box. I also use an additive called Eco-Wise to neutralize any ammonia smell. So If the litter box is not fully mixed up then he will look to go elsewhere. Yes, my cat is picky and probably spoiled. But you know what? I'm paying for a "professional service" supposedly, not some random person to take care of my cat. Regardless, I was getting texts from the pet sitter saying everything was fine. I came home and to my surprise the stench in the house reaked of disgusting cat urine. It was gross. I can't believe the pet sitter didn't notice the stench. What bothered me is I kept getting consistent texts everything was okay. Okay to who? Maybe to a cat farm it's okay to smell like that, but it's my apartment and my bed with old and damp cat urine. Regina's excuse was maybe the pet sitter didn't notice because she has 5 cats of her own. I thought if she let my place stench like that what does her place smell like? That's just disgusting. Needless to say, I suspect the litter was not mixed up thoroughly as I had requested. The litter box looked like it had been cleaned out and new litter in it's place as well, so I can't tell other than him urinating outside of the box what actually happened. Pet sitter must have known something was not right as she cleaned out the whole litter box before I got home. Sketchy. My cat has been on this schedule for years before as I go out of town often and no previous issues. He went to the vet a week before I was away for his routine check-up and didn't have an infection of any sort. I cannot recommend the person who took care of my cat, nor Fetch! Pet Care for the way they handled this incident. The pet sitter was pretty oblivious to the cat urine stench in the home. During the initial visit my place NEVER smelled like cat urine -- so the change should have been quite noticeable. Sometimes people come over to visit and they are even surprised I have a cat. Even though Regina offered a "goodwill" discount, the time it took to launder soiled sheets, 4 pillows and pillow cases (thank goodness my bed had a bed bug cover that was waterproof or my new Tempurpedic mattress would have been ruined), buy white vinegar and enzyme to spray and clean the floor around the litter box and clean the mat, her "discount" was totally not worth it. Everyone I spoke to said she should not have even charged me for bad service. Regina said she wanted an opportunity to make it up to me 'next time'. There is no next time. I would never use Fetch! Ok - so I trust Cindy probably more than my friends and family to care for my pup. She, and the entire Fetch team, is great and responsive. I've been a customer for almost 7 years and was pretty sad when I moved out of their direct area (westside) to MidCity. BUT then Cindy was able to still make visits and our pup is so happy to have her. We've also had the pleasure of Preston, bless his soul - was hated by our pup due to her mistrust of guys. But he tried so hard and keep at it and wore her down. Fetch is also wonderful about taking in my packages and mail when I need it or just for general home visits. read more

When I lived in Playa Vista, I used Fetch for my cat Oliver few times. The different sitters I got were always sending pictures to me while I'm out. They always followed the instructions I left. One of them actually bought treats for Oliver. It was nice knowing that the someone other than myself care about Oliver. One time I had to get a sitter last time due to a family emergency, the receptionist was very understanding and was able to get someone for me right way. Overall, I'll definitely recommend Fetch to animal lovers. read more
