I was so impressed with Jamie--she did a beautiful cut. She was also attentive to his ears, for which I am grateful--they had not been plucked well at my just-before-moving appointment and she took care of it with an extra walk-in quicky. They aren't just any kind of boarding place that just wants to take your money, they actually care for your dog and play with your dog! This place is a little bit off the beaten path and a little out of the way, but for our dog to enjoy going there and to be happy when she comes home speaks volumes and I would drive farther if I had to.... The last time we had her there they ended up giving her a bath because she got all muddy and they didn't want her to smell and look dirty on her way home no charge. Thumbs up and happy camper here!

I had an appointment to drop my two pugs off at another grooming place in town…read morethat I had never been to either, but I wasn't paying attention and accidentally dropped them off at Paws of Fun Grooming (hey, it was cold, dark, rainy, and I was working remotely via iPhone on client escalations!). When I got home, I realized my mistake and became sick to my stomach not knowing what kind of place I took my babies to, but it worked out SO well! I dropped off the pugs around 8am, and they were ready by noon (as a walk-in obviously). The pugs looked so cute! As part of the grooming process, they cleaned the pugs' ears VERY well. One of the pugs had very dirty ears, so they gave me a Ziploc bag of dirty q-tips used to take to the vet if I wanted testing done (they said people like to do that as a precaution, like for ear-mites). That was nice of them to consider the pugs' health! One of my pugs is blind, and they handled him well. He wasn't traumatized or anything upon pickup (not anymore than the vet, that is). :) They also called me afterward to tell me about a couple of high spots the pugs had on them to watch for in case they started itching so that I could apply cortisone as needed. Again, another nice health recommendation that they didn't have to do! One of my favorite things about this place is that they used a good nail file, NOT clippers, to shave down the pugs' nails. This is important to me because one of the pugs has long quicks and always bleeds with clippers. Lastly, their prices are very good. Two dogs for grooming was $70 (plus tip). This was definitely a great mistake, and I will go back! :) They said they've been in business since 2009 and took over the old pet store that went out of business awhile back. It's great space!

Stella does an A-1 job with his curly cut and nails. He obviously enjoys his play dates because he recognizes when we pull into the parking lot it's going to be a fun time. I walked in at 5:11 this evening hoping to wash my dog. The employee made eye contact with me immediately from the back room. I stood at the counter waiting for 5 minutes. This wasn't a problem for me until the employee told me that I was too late for a wash. That they stop taking self wash customers at 5:15. It was 5:16 by their clock on the wall. The employee stood in the back until it was after time and turned me away. I was very unsatisfied and very surprised by the poor 'customer service'. There are multiple self serve dog wash businesses in the area. I will start using one of the businesses that I typically pass on the way to SDW.

When I went to pick up our guy, I didn't even recognize him!!!!! :-( He was completely shaven with a poodle pouf on top of his head and tip of tail. It was HORRIFIC and TERRIBLE. I would NOT recommend this shop for any other breed besides poodle. Most groomers will work out small mats and even cut them out but to shave him completely when his coat was in good shape?!?! The place was FILTHY and the pet owner ahead of me was told her dog has fleas. Yes, I understand that the name POODLE is in the shops name. I should have known better. Enter at your win risk....

We came at 9am. A 2pm I called to see if she was done and they said she would be at least another 2 hours. I told them that was too long in a crate and I would just come get her. When I got there she had not be let out to go to the bathroom and was sitting for entirely too long for what I asked for. I highly recommend NOT coming here unless you want your dog to wait in a crate all day to be groomed with no bathroom.

My real issue is if you're going to be nasty to the people dropping off dogs (not just me), then what is happening to our dogs? Because of the behavior this morning, I wouldn't even leave my dogs with them because I was so grossed out and frankly scared. Avoid avoid avoid. There is nothing "boutique" about this place, and no transparency around what they're doing with your dogs once you leave. They are mean and angry people who are more than likely going to be on the news soon for the wrong reasons.
