However, my personal experience with the dental hygienist at my very first visit is that she was extremely aggressive. I honestly felt like I was a toilet bowl she was scrubbing the inside of when it came to the tooth polishing process - it was literally comical! I had toothpaste and water all over my face. This is not normal folks! Not to mention how painful the actual cleaning was. She did not use a manual scraping tool but rather an electronic water pick type tool which she was so aggressive with. After I came home my entire mouth was hurting for hours. I brush twice a day and floss every night. I have had nothing but excellent cleanings. But this lady said I had deep pockets that needed to be cleaned. In the past when I have had to have deep cleaning they would anesthetize you...this was not done. She just dug right on in there with her electric cattle prod instrument! So needless to say I will NOT be going back.

There was one point I was in every other week for 3 months because they seemed to never get it right the first time. A retainer that doesn't fit. Crown that chipped off. Crown that wasn't the right color, twice. Bonding that wouldn't hold. And treating me for apparent gum disease that my new dentist said isn't there at all. Awesome! Big waste of time and way too much money spent to have to go somewhere and have everything redone. I'd give this place 0 starts if I could.

I only had a very small chip in one, but both had worn enamel on the backsides from teeth grinding. Dr. Wickness simply recommended bonding to strengthen the teeth and repair the chipped one. He also talked about my bite and how it impacts tooth health, grinding, etc. The first dentist never even mentioned that was a consideration. A few days later, my new dentist, Dr. Wickness performed the work recommended and my teeth look great now and feel strong. I definitely wanted to keep my existing teeth and Dr. Wickness helped me accomplish that. it's never fun spending a lot of money at the dentist office and I do my best to take care of my teeth, but at some point, you have to find an honest, reputable dentist and trust them.
