I recently had to have an emergency procedure and expressed specific anxieties related to the procedure they said I needed, and I was offered no comfort, no explanation of what the dentist was doing when he was doing it, and my need to ask questions were met with frustration and apathy rather than clarity and compassion. The woman who helped me figure out my insurance ended up being the kindest person who spoke to me during that experience. This is sadly just the most recent experience among many others. If you have any dental anxiety, want your questions answered clearly, or struggle to find a nonjudgmental & compassionate dentist, steer clear of this dentist.

But now it's been so long I'm sure Belle Meade would never back up their work and probably wouldn't take care of it (or pay for me to get it done elsewhere which is what I'd rather do since it wasn't taken care in the first place and I paid a TON of money) I'm stuck with a crown that needs to be retreated and it would cost me over 3 grand AGAIN for a second time !! There was one point I was in every other week for 3 months because they seemed to never get it right the first time. A retainer that doesn't fit. Crown that chipped off. Crown that wasn't the right color, twice. Bonding that wouldn't hold. And treating me for apparent gum disease that my new dentist said isn't there at all. Awesome! Big waste of time and way too much money spent to have to go somewhere and have everything redone. I'd give this place 0 starts if I could.

They definitely exceeded my expectations on all levels. My daughter did not have a negative thing to say about them. First off, when you drive up to their office it's quite impressive. When we walked in we were greeted by two front desk assistants that were incredibly nice & professional. The waiting room was vibrant, clean & comfortable. I went back with my daughter, they got her settled in her room & went over things with me. (Very detailed) My daughter said the patient chairs were the best she'd ever been in. Her cleaning went well & she was very pleased with the end result! They recommended getting her wisdom teeth out (that won't be so wonderful, but necessary! She has severe TMJ issues that if not monitored things could get extremely painful for her. She got her braces off yesterday. So the dentist will play an instrumental part in making sure she doesn't slide backwards. The dentist was friendly & did a great job explaining what the next steps would be for her. We will definitely be going back for further dental needs. I had a cavity taken care of that required me to come back 3 times. I kept experiencing pain while biting weeks after it was done. On my last return visit she wildly started drilling and filing down neighboring teeth without any numbing whatsoever. She didn't care that I kept wincing. She "joked" that she didn't want to see me again for this tooth. Gladly! I'm never coming back and I'm having it fixed by a proper dentist. Avoid this place!

I only had a very small chip in one, but both had worn enamel on the backsides from teeth grinding. Dr. Wickness simply recommended bonding to strengthen the teeth and repair the chipped one. He also talked about my bite and how it impacts tooth health, grinding, etc. The first dentist never even mentioned that was a consideration. A few days later, my new dentist, Dr. Wickness performed the work recommended and my teeth look great now and feel strong. I definitely wanted to keep my existing teeth and Dr. Wickness helped me accomplish that. it's never fun spending a lot of money at the dentist office and I do my best to take care of my teeth, but at some point, you have to find an honest, reputable dentist and trust them.
