I really wanted to like this place. The hygienists are incredible and super friendly. The office is very clean and the rooms have big windows and there are TVs on the ceiling so you always have something to look at while you're getting your work done. Because the hygienists are so wonderful, I'm rating this 2 stars instead of 1. I cannot rate this place highly because I had an awful experience with Dr White. I had a cavity taken care of that required me to come back 3 times. I kept experiencing pain while biting weeks after it was done. On my last return visit she wildly started drilling and filing down neighboring teeth without any numbing whatsoever. She didn't care that I kept wincing. She "joked" that she didn't want to see me again for this tooth. Gladly! I'm never coming back and I'm having it fixed by a proper dentist. Avoid this place! read more

When looking for a dentist, I chose Lifetime Dentistry based on Dr. Hernandez's extensive continuing education past the DDS program, as well as his volunteer work abroad. I happily return because Dr. Hernandez and his team are knowledgeable, warm, and committed to a positive, professional dental experience. Since moving to Nashville two years ago, I have visited Lifetime Dentistry for routine cleanings and x-rays, as well as a full Invisalign treatment. I am always pleased with my visits, as I feel comfortable and welcomed. I have been a patient at Lifetime Dentistry for a while now. I have gotten to know Dr. H (that's what I call him) and the extremely competent staff. Jennifer, the hygienist, is perhaps the best tooth cleaner in the world. She put a product around a tooth that always bled during flossing. The bleeding went away. In a nutshell, the equipment at Lifetime Dentistry is state of the art and in the hands of these talented people, one's teeth are so well cared for. Dr. Hernandez is friendly, very efficient and hugely competent. The office is a bit of a drive from where I live but I wouldn't go anywhere else. One more thing, yesterday I lost an old crown. It just popped off of the tooth. Angie (front desk) managed to fit me into the busy schedule. They even stayed late to fix me up. read more

I moved here from out of town and had to get a root canal so did some research on dental places and this DID NOT DISAPPOINT! They are amazing here! The dentists are highly knowledgeable and talk you through everything. They are all so friendly and awesome. I highly recommend this place! Wow I lucked out when I chose Dr. Hernandez last year during a dental emergency. All that mattered to me was that he was about 5 minutes away down the street from my apartment. He was so kind and helpful that day I knew I had made a good choice. I had been meaning to go back in for a cleaning but didn't until yesterday and again I was reminded how much I lucked out with Dr Hernandez. The entire staff is so friendly and personable. The hygienist and I even shared a tear talking about the anniversary of the Newtown school shooting. Dr Hernandez is such an open and honest Dr. And was able to explain everything to me. I need to get an implant and he explained to me, complete with visual aides, all my options and steps moving forward. Michelle at the front desk is a sweetheart and she explained my bill and breakdown and charges better than most health care providers do. Keep it up! read more

A dentist review is a first for me. I had been going to another local dentist and we had terrible experiences with the billing/account side of the practice, enough that we decided that we needed to make a change. I did my Yelp research and decided to try this office. I only wished that I had made the change sooner! First, Dr. Hernandez is fantastic! I have never had a dentist take the time to thoroughly explain the procedure before implementation and then afterwards. The whole time both he and his staff (Robin?) were concerned for my comfort and pain management. Second, the facilities are top notch. I needed a crown and the crown was made while I was in the office and fitted in the SAME visit. I did not even know they could do this. Third, the entire staff is friendly and communicative. It is hard to imagine me saying but the visit was actually enjoyable. Fourth, but just as important to me, Michelle was very thorough and explained the costs associated with the services UP FRONT, clearly. She even gave to me a written statement BEFORE services, something that I did not receive at the previous location until after the fact, and it was always a surprise. Michelle is an absolute delight handling appointments, insurance and billing (they also provide email reminders of appointments). Unfortunately, my insurance did not cover a crown replacement so soon but she filed anyway just in case. Even so, the fee was reasonable and the office offers payment terms. Most people hate the dentist. Having my teeth cleaned or getting a filling is still not my favorite thing to do, but Dr. Hernandez's office actually make me look forward to going. Every staff member is extremely kind and friendly. I've been seeing Dr. Hernandez for a few years now and so does my husband. We trust him and his team to take good care of us. The office has taken very good care of me from cleaning to more serious procedures. I trust them and highly recommend them! read more

All I can say is WOW! Dr Hernandez and his staff are AMAZING! My old discolored veneers were beautifully redone in less than a week!!! Unlike most dentists, they value your time. Each appointment I had I was in the chair within five minutes upon arrival. He and his staff were not only professional and courteous but quite kind and truly care about their patients. I a great experience at LIfetime Dentistry. I was in so much pain and asked a friend to help me find a Dentist, so based on her recommendation and reading the reviews on yelp I gave them a try. I met with Dr. Patel and he was more than kind and an incredible beside manor! He made sure that I was comfortable before he started and told me step by step what he was doing at all times. I have a very small mouth and other dentists have been frustrated with me, which would make me put off going back, they never made me feel that way. I have neglected going to the dentist over the last few years. Needless to say, my teeth need a lot of work. When I had to have immediate care and the dentist were out of the office, the receptionist gave me places to call. She was extremely nice which does not happen at most places when making appointments. When I did get in to see Dr. Hernandez, he was kind and understanding. Dr. Petal did my root canal due to insurance coverage. He was very nice and funny! Robin assisted him. They made the experience almost fun except for the root canal part! Lol. Steve is one of the best dentists in Nashville. He has done a lot of work on me over the years, going back to when I was in dental school. He is on the leading edge and has more new technology than any other dentist I know. He has all the 3d scanners and 3d printers, making his work some of the best. His staff is also amazing. I chose this dentist because it was covered by my insurance, it was close to my home and had good reviews on Yelp. I was told I needed to get my fillings redone as they had been completed some time ago and needed to be replaced. I have never had to make so many repeat visits to a dentist in all my life. After the initial procedure, I had pain and sensitivity on that side of my mouth, so I had to go back in to get that fixed. This has continued to cause me pain even after he attempted to fix the shoddy work. Every time I went in there, I was forced to take time off of work; however, I continuously felt rushed and the dentist appeared overwhelmed, which may explain why procedures were not completed properly the first time. I decided not to return based on the above mentioned complaints and was charged a no-show fee. When the complaints were explained to the office personnel, they simply requested I return for more work, which made no sense to me since they couldn't get it right thus far. Additionally, I requested teeth whitening in which I was charged $150 for an at-home product that I later found online for much cheaper and with a higher grade of whitening. The only positive side to my experience was that I never had to wait in the waiting room to be called back....they were always rushed! read more

I was recommended to Dr Hernandez by a good friend of mine! Being fairly new in Town finding a great dentist can take time! I had been for my annual check up and found the staff and general atmosphere so warm and welcoming! I went today to have a crown! Now I dreaded the thought of 2 hrs of pain and discomfort! Dr. Hernandez WILL recommend all the work that he feels you need to have the best teeth possible, but you are not hounded to get the work done; it is entirely up to you how much you want to do.
