This is an incredibly difficult review to write. Ultimately I have decided to average out the key scores. We were there for a large group, business meeting. The restaurant esthetic is quite nice actually, and they have a small shop for ingredients you can purchase on site: Ambiance: 3/5, the large group room was open and comfortable but not particularly ambiant. I did not see the main dining room. Nice linen napkins, quality cutlery. Did not visit the bathrooms. Food: 4/5, Paccheri Funghi - I like my pasta toothy but this was a little toothy for even me. Sauce was great and I will be recreating this one at home. Arancini needed a spot more mozzarella in it and lacked crunch. Sauce was lovely. I would expect that, if you're preparing a duck breast with fig sauce you'd be more specific about the sides - kind of came out looking sad and lonely on a plate, though apparently was tasty. Pizza was reportedly very good. Disappointed for our large group though - there were a lot of issues with orders being incorrect, some people not receiving dishes. Not sure if this is on service or kitchen. Service: 3/5. I'm so sorry, because I actually liked the feisty older Italian lady who served us. It took an extraordinary amount of time to get our drinks and food. We were there for such a long time 3.5 hours. They did try to make it right by providing us with a free digestif (amaro, grappa or lemoncello) so I will give them a point for that, otherwise it was 2 star service. Overall... I"m just not sure I would make an effort to return back. I did hear from some of my counterparts that they make GF pasta so good for the celiacs. read more

Sad to say this was not at all what I expected the Service was slow! Brochetta was bland. The duck was unexciting and very tough. The latte tasted like warm milk. Overall this was the worst Italian food I've had especially for the $160+ dinner. The highlight was that our waitress was great. read more

When I came with my family they sat us in the back of the restaurant that was just an empty room with chairs. And when the server came over to our table to take our order she was very aggressive. And since we were in the back we were ignored by the servers with the occasionally filling our water. When we informed the waiter that we were leaving with no food by the 2 hour mark she was not happy about it. Unfortunately we had a bad experience at Ferraro last night. The service was terrible. For starters, the wrong salads were brought out. Then the wrong pizza was brought out. I accepted it anyways as I didn't want them to throw it out. Next we had to ask two times for our glasses of wine to be served which we had ordered. When the meals arrived only 3 of 4 arrived. They had forgotten to ring in one. We had to ask for cutlery and a steak knife for food. While the waitress did apologize for the missed 4th meal, she was more concerned about whether that meal was hot, not the fact that it was served well after the other meals. I would've appreciated or expected at least one meal to be complementary. I was quite disappointed as the food to be honest was very good. However, you pay for the experience when you go out for dinner. I will not be going there again. read more

We went to this restaurant with my daughter and her family. My daughter explained that our grandson(her son) is allergic to mustard and tree nuts when the order was taken, she stressed it a number of times. We had bruschetta and gluten free focaccia bread, our grandson had some of the bread. His order of bolognese spaghetti came out and within 2 yes 2 bites he could feel the allergic reaction happening. We talked to the staff and they assured us there was no mustard or tree nuts. One of the servers said there was pine nuts in the pesto but did not realize that pine nuts are tree nuts, really. So our grandson is at urgent care now for the next 6-8 hours and depending he may be taken to the Children's Hospital. The owner of the restaurant said she figured it could have been cross contamination and also said she would stop serving people with allergies!!!! The meal was supposed to be a celebration, and our grandson is now in hospital because this restaurants does not know what allergens are in the food or what can cause cross contamination. read more

We ordered from SkipTheDishes and took so long to confirm order. Skip the dishes couldn't reach them and called me to see if I wanted to wait 5 more minutes or cancel. I chose to wait because we wanted to try this new restaurant and were excited. Finally the order was confirmed and delivered. Delivery was fast. The food.....not impressed! Fettuccini Alfredo: noodles were way over cooked and gummy. Not enough sauce. I could only eat about 5 bites and threw it out. Wasted $18. Lasagna: husband said it tasted like it was one of the frozen kinds you buy at Safeway but ate it anyway. Not worth the $22. Portions were tiny for the exorbitant prices. If you're going to charge that much for food, you better make sure it's good! I totally regret not canceling my order. Update. We received a full refund. Thanks. read more

This is truly the best Italian food I have ever had. The pasta is handmade and so are the sauces. The service is personable and top notch. The ambiance of the restaurant is relaxing and classy, perfect for date night or just a really enjoyable evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed. read more

Enjoyed a delicious lunch here recently. We had the ziti and the tortellini. Both were absolutely fabulous. You can tell the pasta is fresh, not packaged. Sauces were both excellent. It's a bit pricey but worth it. My only complaint would be that it took a while to get our bill but apart from that I highly recommend this place. read more

I picked up my favorite linguine vongolle today and for takeout and it continues to impress . Perfectly al dente pasta with the best white wine ever! our family was very excited to try this truly Italian restaurant. upon entering, youarehit with amazing smells and a glimpse of the energetic ambience happening on the kitchen side of the restaurant. we were greeted by a prickly hostess who was all business. she was almost annoyed when we mentioned more more guest would be joking our reservation of 5. we were immediately taken to the right side of the restaurant through what looked like an unfinished store front and back kitchen area. our table was located in a back room that was lacking in character and charm. we explained to our server another guest would be joining us soon. Our menus were plopped in front of us and we waited a healthy amount of time before we were asked about drinks to start while waiting.When the rest of our party arrived, she entered to find no one at front so she took it upon herself to locate us. The little hostess then proceeded to chew her out telling her she couldn't walk into the place thinking she owned it. once our party was ready, we ordered drinks, an appie and thank goodness we ordered our entrees as they didn't arrive at the table almost two hours later. And the food was okay. Nothing fantastic, just okay. Our server was a pleasure and she was the bright spot of the evening even though she seemed to be MIA when the food was was ggrowing way past acceptable. We didn't have good vibes going in as the place was mostly empty and it was behind a Best Western hotel. But we were just early as the place filled up with big parties of six to eight per group. Our vibes were just wrong here. The people running this place are the real deal. They make their own pasta from scratch and it is wonderful. The portions were generous and very tasty. My wife ordered spaghetti and the waitress took her knife away explaining that the chef gets mad if you don't use a spoon to roll it up! Alas they don't really understand beer. We had a decent Italian beer with dinner but should have ordered from their extensive wine list instead. Our mistake there. read more

Heard about this place for awhile on community Facebook pages, so decided to check it out. Ambience of restaurant was okay, nothing special. I think family ran business, seemed to be only one waiter for entire restaurant, he was not on his game, forgetful, slow and missing, then we could smell that he probably went for a smoke and didn't wash his hands afterwards. No mask when waiting tables. People without drinks for long periods of time, Pasta was good, nice hand made pasta not enough sauce on either of mine or husbands dishes which then turned a bit dry. We stopped in while waiting for our son's flight to arrive in Calgary. The owners are extremely nice. Emanuele cooked us a pizza that was as good as the ones we had in Naples, Italy. In addition, I purchased products to make sauce and they gave me detailed instructions. Nyla shared fresh almonds with us and showed us how to eat them.
