Just had a nightmare experience with AAA where I've been a member with premier RV Plus for 33 years…read more- and never needed them. Blew an idler pulley bearing at midnight 44 miles west of Van Horn. AAA left us stranded roadside for 6 hours. Finally I'd had enough. Rapid was the second listing. They answered immediately, said they took AAA but had not been contacted by them. They were there within an hour and had my truck on a roll back and my camper hooked up to the same rig AND us at a shop in another hour. The idler pulley wasn't available even at NAPA. Their guy took it off HIS truck and got us rolling. I can not say enough about Rapid and their suggested mechanic. This is what America is about and I couldn't be prouder of fellow citizens. I'm recommending them to AAA, and will also send info to Good Sam.

If I could give this more stars, I would! Here is our story:…read more We were cruising down I-10 yesterday afternoon when I front left tire blew on our Motorcoach. When I say blew, I mean, it was nearly all gone. It was scary enough that it happened and was our first RV blow out, but couple that with being in the middle of nowhere in the west TX desert. Yikes! First, I called our roadside assistance, which was almost useless as they would only assist if we had a tire, which we did not. Boo! Meanwhile, husband is calling around to see if there are any mobile tire services and found these amazing people. (Insert choir of angels) It took them about and hour and a half to get to us, which was fine by me. I mean, I had snacks, and iPad and a potty. The young man they dispatched showed up, he went right to work. And WORK he did! He tried to put the tire on without removing the wheel and it refused to cooperate. He had that wheel off so darn fast and got the tire on and back onto the RV so fast! He was polite, professional and obviously a hard worker. Needless to say, we paid, rewarded him with a soda and went on our way! You're amazing. We would recommended you all day, every day!!

Yeah, hope you never get stuck in Van Horn during a holiday weekend. Broke down about 30 miles…read morefrom.Van Horn and my car was towed to this place by the tow truck who wax buddies with the owner of M & M. Couldn't figure out the issue with my car despite having it for 4 days. Since there are no Uber's or Taxi's out there and it's 120 miles to El Paso, had to get a ride from his uncle or someone like that to take me to the El Paso airport where I could get a rental to visit my Dad in Arizona. Think they took full advantage of me and my situation. Tow truck overcharged me for the tow and then Celso with his inability to fix my car. Ended up selling car to him and off course he didn't fully pay me once he got the title. So yeah, hope this never happened to you. My bad luck to get stuck and then run into these guys.

I was fine with it all and what could I do, but I told him that I wanted to be present when it got towed to atleast see the people taking to a location Ive never been to. Had a blowout on the interstate on our travel trailer on a Sunday. Owner answered his phone and…read moresaid he had the two new tires that we needed. Friendly and available. We called and told him we were exactly 15 minutes away, and he said to call back when we were there and he'd come down. So we called when we arrived and he said he'd be there in 5-- which is exactly why we called with an exact ETA. Anyway, we agreed that he would go to the warehouse to get the tires we needed while we went to the ATM (place is cash only) and we would all meet back at the shop. After 20 minutes of waiting back at the shop, he called and asked if we still wants the tires. We were confused because the arrangement had been pretty clear and simple. But eventually, we did eventually end up with what we needed. Tires are a little expensive but worth it when you blow out a tire in the middle of nowhere. The name A&L is painted on his truck and shows up at the correct spot on Apple maps, but the actual shop is named "Juan's Auto Repair 2" so don't miss it when you drive by.

I cannot say enough about this business. Bill and grandson Casey showed up on a Sunday afternoon…read moreperhaps 15 minutes after we called. My wife and I were dead in the water in our Motorhome. I went to the Cummins website & Bill's Diesel was the only game in town - Van Horn Texas. These gentlemen were 1st class. Prompt, fair & knowledgeable. They solved our no start problem in minutes. He charged me his hourly rate for the service call & I gave him all the cash in my wallet. When you're stranded in the middle of nowhere without the knowledge to solve a no start issue on your own - all of the cash in a wallet was well worth Bill's body of knowledge - over 40 years. Thanks Bill & Casey for helping out a couple in need.

The individual who answered told me it would be approximately $260 for someone to come look at my truck because it was "after hours." What I couldn't understand was how I was being charged an after-hours service fee when the business was listed as open 24 hours and I was already physically at the shop. I wasn't asking for roadside assistance or a tow. I had a low tire that appeared to have a leaking valve, and I had already driven the truck directly to them. I tried explaining the situation, but there was no flexibility. From my experience, the conversation was more focused on collecting the approximately $260 charge than on finding out what was actually wrong with my tire or seeing whether it could be quickly repaired so I could safely get back on the road.

The check engine, oil, and battery lights were all on. I thought it was the battery, but it wouldn't jump start. About 15 minutes later the car started. I noticed a car shop at Love's and a tow-truck driver suggested I call Steve. He met me at his shop at 7:00 on a Friday night and ran the diagnostics on the car. The battery was good. The check engine light was on due to the EGR valve. Steve didn't think he could have the part until Tuesday. He ended up droving to El Paso on Saturday and picked up the part. He fixed my car on a Saturday evening and I was able to get back on the road Sunday morning. The rest of my trip was uneventful. I am so grateful that I crossed paths with him. I highly recommend his business. 5 stars is not enough.
