These people are crooks and will take advantage of any business and stranded motorist. We called…read morefor their services. We're told they were on their way at about 9:30p. We waited for over a hour. Then arriving at 11:00p, being we checked the clock. When they finally got there, they quoted us $85 for looking at our vehicle (service call charge), our vehicle being a deisel pickup truck, and then quoted $125 an hr thereafter. It was late, we're on the road traveling, no one was open in the area so we'll listen to them and see what occurs. First, They said nothing about paying to have to wait and them not there yet. They were with another customer just across the road, at their own admissions. After arriving, they stated just the service call charge of $85 plus the hourly charge. We were also told they would work on it until it was fixed right there. This never happened! Then they handed us a sales sheet that was empty after finally getting to us and asked us to fill it out. We didn't sign it at first questioning their process. The sheet promised nothing with a signature for them doing work. They handed us a story that we needed to sign it because if we read it we would see it said they can't even touch the vehicle without our signature. Lie. There was nothing on the sheet stating that. There's nothing on the sheet but blanks for you to put your information and the mechanic to list jobs, supplies, etc. To add , there was nothing ever listed on this sheet during the entire ordeal with these jokers. We never got a copy of this invoice but a emailed/texted copy with no itemized list, just a total stating paid after the nonsense. So, the first guy, who was explaining their charges that showed up, calls a second guy over that again we waited for him stating he was the expert at working on diesel pickups. The 2nd guy looks at the truck and tells us and the first guy trying very hard to convince us it was our crank, after asking if we would sell the truck to them, in effort to keep our attentions on the conversation instead of on the mechanic. Seriously? Correcting the mechanic and letting hin know his GUESS was wrong, completely off base, muchless to say we knew a lie and throws up first red flag. The 2nd mechanic looks again, like trying to figure out a good story, as the 1st guy disappeared, and states that is a electrical problem, making it sound and look like he knew what he was doing. The mechanic leaves telling us that he had to go get something to fix it. Upon leaving he takes a fuse out of the upper panel to keep the truck from starting. We were unaware of this until we looked under the hood to see where he was looking and we spotted the missing fuse. He returns a hour later with a wire tester, replaces the fuse first off that he took out, that I'll add that wasn't blown being we checked the fuses before anyone arriving to begin with, then goes under the truck beats on the starter and tells us to start the truck. Really? This fairytale electrical issue never resulted in any wires, relays being repaired, wrapped, or replaced as we were noticing...AND...Since when does beating on a starter constitute a electrical problem? Absolutely no parts fixed or replaced, just a incompetent mechanic that lies, makes up stories to steal money from travelers. How do we know this? Because we made it about 20 miles down the road. Having problems again. The truck again didn't start after shutting it off to size up the problem again. We waited until daylight in the next town where we worked with another mechanic that helped us stating there's is no mechanical problems, no starter problems just a serpentine belt that slipped due to a pulley needing to be replaced that took all of 15 minutes and $20 part to repair with a understanding gentleman that didn't charge us being our wallet was already. This J&J screwup crew charged us $600 for nothing but a story and gave us a good insult and inconvenience. They have no honesty or integrity especially when you look at their business practices and the charges accompanying them. They didn't even charge to their stated charge of standards first informed us about in the beginning. They don't even have a price list. Charged us from the time of our call from their hip, made us wait for them to get a wire tester they most likely already had, dismantled our truck to play the procrastination game of raping the customers wallet by dragging out time on the clock without a mechanic. We argued the charges. At the end, they even settled at the rate we were attempting to agree to and couldn't even hold to that price on the phone or in person. Then the guy on the phone, the 1st guy again, talked to the mechanic informing them of the charge which he argued the issue. We want our money back. They did nothing in the form of a repair, they lied, procrastinated with us to make a bigger bill bigger, did nothing but attempt to make things worse. ZERO rating. Refund due!

I HAD TO CALL THE LOCAL SHERIFF TODAY 10/14/2020…read more My truck blew a tire while passing through Van Horn Texas today so I logged onto NTTS Breakdown and found a local tire shop called Rocko's Road Service and spoke to a gentleman named Rocky. I told Rocky that I needed a rear drive tire for the driver's side and of course he said no problem. Because the one good tire on that side was maybe at 50% wear I inquired as to a used tire in good shape with similar thread depth. Again, he said no problem so my drivers took the truck to his location. He called me once they arrived and told me that not only did I need one tire, but needed tow for the opposite side as well. I asked if he had a couple more drive tires for that side as well and he said yes. I asked him to take some pictures of the tires and send them to me. The pictures showed the tires laying on their sides with one resting half on the other. I immediately called him and asked why the thread patterns were so different to which he replied that two were steer tires. I told him that I was there for drive tires and not steer tires to which he RUDELY replied, "they're already on the truck so you have to pay me for them". I mentioned that drive tires don't usually get mounted on the rear and would like them removed as I was there to get drive tires and not steer tires...he hung up the phone then sent a text to my phone demanding payment. I called my mechanic in Charlotte, NC and got him on a three way with Rocky which ended in Rocky once again hanging up the phone when he was told that due to the weight differences between the front and rear of the truck, front steer tires was not recommended. I then called the carrier's safety department and again got them on the phone with Rocky. The results were the same as he once again got severely agitated and told the safety manager that he did not appreciate anyone telling him his business. I called once again and at that point was told that he was going to seize my truck and lock it inside the gate. I CALLED THE LOCAL SHERIFF. In conclusion with the Sheriff present after about an hour of going back and forth, he finally agreed to write on the invoice that the tires were DOT compliant and that if they were to be deemed non-compliant the he would give me a full refund. Without the Sheriff this would not have happened. This Rocky gentleman was very vulgar, and every other word out of his mouth was profane. He is without a doubt the most unprofessional business owner I have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP...DO NOT CALL THIS SHOP...DO NOT REFER ANYONE TO THIS SHOP...DO NOT SEND YOUR WORST ENEMY TO THIS SHOP. By the way, when I called the Sheriff, halfway through my complaint the dispatcher suddenly asked me, "Is the guy's name Rocky?" to which I replied yes!

The guy takes my call and gives me a 60 to 90 minute ETA. 90 minutes later he can not be reached…read moreand several hours later still no tech. WTF? beware.
