The appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM. I went into work early in order to be able to leave briefly and meet the installer. 9:00 came and went...At 9:35 still no installer and no call offering a reason why...we called the store. The store called Chris, the installer. Chris said he "didn't know he had to be there at 9:00 on the dot". He figured "around 9," said he was in South Point and would be there in 5 minutes. Chris doesn't manage time well, South Point is more than 5 minutes away. More importantly, Chris also does not respect other people's time. Chris cost Gibbs the sale of an insert and tarnished their reputation.

I've been asking around all over town to get a feel for who'll be hiring for summer help. Been going to this store for years, guess I'll be going to Gibbs or Lowe's from now on. :(

I think it is important to support local businesses. This one used to be a good place to do…read morebusiness. A year ago I would have given it 5 stars. Not any longer. The last 4 visits here have pushed me back to the big box establishments. On one visit I needed a case of caulk. The kid working tried to charge me $96. I got it at Lowe's for $34. On another I was 2nd in line at the register and the guy ahead of me decided he needed more items. He and the store employee went shopping together bringing several items to the counter one at a time while I waited and waited and waited...I placed my items on the counter with his and left. On another I only needed a junction box cover. I could find one, I also couldn't find an employee for assistance. And on the last visit, the straw that broke the camels back, I dropped off chainsaw chains to be sharpened. 9 days later, they remained untouched. I tried! They stopped trying.

Harbor freight sells really affordable tools and other various home and garden equipment, of course…read moreyou get what you pay for. A lot of the tools and products are made really cheap, if you take care using them they may last you, they do offer warranties on things. I took back a dent puller that used glue sticks and a glud gun, I tried several times to get the thing to work but the glue kept pulling away from the tool, I got the third degree from some red-haired manager guy because I had actually used about half a glue stick trying to get the thing to work, then he proceeded to tell me that there were things missing because the picture on the box didn't match the contents when clearly they had changed the look of the contents and didn't change the picture on the box, maybe if the guy could have read then he would have clearly seen that everything was there. I will NOT be back to shop at this location because of the treatment I got during this visit.
