Stopped in before a show at Huxton Hall. Ordered the falafel, fries and homemade basil lemonade. Food was fast, fresh and full of flavor. Cafe has a few tables inside to eat in. Staff was friendly. Would definitely eat there again. read more

Wine portions by the glass are miniscule so trade up for a carafe. I would have preferred stemmed wine glasses. Their current glasses are huge and hard for people with small hands to pick up!

Seems like a few family that run the place, not big and not a lot of staff but they were attentive and helpful. Flavor was great, food came out quickly after ordering but was made fresh. On the last day of our trip we walked into this restaurant. We chose it due to it's close location to our hotel, and it was a choice based on convenience as opposed to interest. I was quickly surprised. After a full day of tours and sightseeing we were tired and hungry. Upon entering the restaurant the staff greeted us with a friendly and inviting demeanor that immediately helped improve my mood. Although, it's not much to look at from the outside, the inside is clean, and well decorated with modest middle eastern decor. The quality of the meal was nothing short of amazing. The appetizer they served me had the tastiest hummus I've ever had. I ordered a shrimp plate that caught my attention and I can honestly say this was the single best shrimp recipe I've ever had in my life. I would have gladly payed the chef hundreds of dollars for the recipe just so I could recreate it at home. My wife enjoyed her meal just as much as I did. We quickly agreed that this had been the single best meal of the entire trip. Now if I can just talk the owner into selling me that recipe

If you don't like the smell of meat grilling and it getting into your clothes and hair, this isn't the place from you. Everyone here is very helpful and the vibe of the restaurant and staff is lively and upbeat. Everything here is served tapas style, so feel free to share or not. The food is pretty great and worth a visit or two, because I didn't have enough stomach room to try every single dish. We ordered naan, labneh, za'aluk, artichoke, oyster mushroom, cauliflower, and finally lamb. You can watch and smell everything that's being made and it's all tasty. The dishes are so flavorful and fresh - I know these are generalizations, but dining here is worth it.

Three issues though: - the octopus was overcooked and quite chewy. Flavor was great though - my wife found a hair in the dessert. Really big flag - dinner for two was 160+ pounds. The pita balagan was crispy with a dollop of bruschetta. ENTREE - Shawarma: bite sized seasoned beef loaded with veggies and hummus (£24) - Chicken: flavorful, perfectly cooked! For desserts, the kadayif is good if you want something unique, if you want something not too sweet go for the date cake, and if you want a sugar rush go for the crunchy praline!
