I hate to do this…read more Been coming here since I was a kid. Recently, I came in to get two used tires. Can't afford new ones so this was a good short term solution. When I got home, I noticed one of the used tire had a huge plug. Went back and they replaced it. The next morning, the second used tire was already flat. Had to go back again and they had to patch it up. I get it, they are used, but why sell bad used tires? After 20 years, I am seriously disappointed. I don't think I could trust this place anymore.

¡Muchas gracias!

Very disappointing experience. I called yesterday to schedule an appointment for my brakes, and…read morethey confirmed it over the phone and again by text. I took time out of my day to bring my car in, only to be told they were too busy and couldn't work on it until next week. His prices are very fair, and he's never tried to sell me services I don't actually need. As a woman, I've sometimes worried about being overcharged or talked into unnecessary repairs at other shops, but I've never felt that way here. He takes the time to explain what my car actually needs and what can wait, and I really appreciate that level of honesty and integrity. It's hard to find a mechanic you can truly trust, and this is definitely one of those places. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for reliable, affordable, and trustworthy service.

Later on, another mechanic checked my car and told me nothing had actually been changed. The car was basically untouched, even though I paid for the service. They were still trying to overcharge for labor too, which makes the whole situation even worse. I wish I had taken pictures or checked everything right away because this is not okay. Just wanted to warn other people so they don't waste their time or money here. Definitely do your research and go to a different mechanic because there are way better and more honest places out there.

DONT BRING UR CAR HERE We brought our car in on August 7 …read more When we first called the shop, we explained that our car was shaking and struggling to take off, but we weren't sure what was causing the problem. The shop told us they could scan the car and diagnose what was wrong. We dropped the car off, and the mechanic later called us and recommended doing the spark plugs and a tune-up. He also told us that the valve cover was leaking and that oil was getting down into the area where the spark plugs were, causing them to get dirty. He explained that if we didn't replace the valve cover, we could continue having problems. Based on what he told us, we agreed to have the valve cover replaced along with the spark plugs/tune-up. We were charged approximately $530 for the work. The mechanic also told us that if we had any issues, we could bring the car back. The problem is that we're still experiencing the exact same issue we originally brought the car in for -- the car is shaking and struggling to take off. We called the shop today and explained that the problem is still happening. We were then told that it could possibly be the transmission. However, our transmission was already replaced about a year ago, which makes us question that diagnosis. We're now out $530, and the original problem hasn't been fixed. We're trying to figure out what our options are. especially since we were told to bring the car back if we had any issues. We attempted to reach out and they avoided giving us any names & avoided helping us .. they are actively avoiding our messages via IG ****To the response WHO WOULD WANNA TAKE THEIR CAR BACK TO A SHOP THAT REFUSES TO GIVE A NAME TO US ????? , that is unprofessional! When we took the car back they tried telling us it was a ELECTRIC ISSUE! And it WASN'T at all ! You guys didn't help, We took it to another mechanic and turns out you guys failed to change all the spark plugs that needed to be changed! AGAIN WE PAID U 530$! & you guys half assed the job ****

Despite the long lines, they were able to get my tire fixed relatively quickly, worked around my hectic schedule, and were incredibly attentive to my needs throughout the entire process. What really stood out to me was their honesty and customer service. There was actually an issue where I was accidentally overcharged, and Martha caught the mistake right away! Chris and Randy were quick to reach out and make things right. The funny part? I kept dodging their calls because I was afraid they were calling to tell me they had UNDERCHARGED me! Their prices were so affordable that I genuinely thought that was the case! It's refreshing to find a business that not only offers great prices and efficient service but also goes out of its way to do the right thing, even when the customer doesn't realize there's an issue. If I ever need another tire, Fairmount Tire will absolutely be my first stop. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the South Los Angeles area!
