Buyer Beware - My Experience with Fine Lines Yard Maintenance…read more I would not recommend Fine Lines Yard Maintenance based on my experience. I hired Eric Rodriguez on April 28, 2026 to replace my wood fence and paid $3,800 upfront for materials, with the remaining balance due upon completion. The fence was promised to be completed by May 10th (Mother's Day weekend). To date, the project is still not finished. The old fence was removed, and the fence posts and cross beams were installed, but no fence pickets have been put up. For weeks I was told, "Your fence will be done this week," but the work never happened. For the last two weeks, I have called, texted, and messaged with no response. I even requested a partial refund so I could purchase the remaining materials and hire someone else to finish the job. I have received no reply. Additionally, my neighbor's sprinkler system was damaged during the fence removal process, and they have also been unable to get a response regarding repairs. I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. I This post reflects my personal experience with this company and contractor.

Even though he has current customer's already scheduled for the upcoming week, weather willing the plan is to finalize the job on Tuesday. Based on Eric's professionalism & the work he did, I felt comfortable paying for the complete job that will be finished in a few more days. My experience was great & I would recommend Eric & Fi e Lines Yard Maintenance

At first he was very commutative and was easy to work with, however, as the job got started he did not show up when he said he was going to. At one point he said he was going to be finished with the job by a certain day so I paid him that day for the job because I live fairly far from him and (he only excepted cash or check) and he left the job he did not finish. It has been almost a month. He still has my motors and other parts. He won't return return calls or text messages. I am very disappointed and I am trying to find someone to finish the job so my dogs don't end up in the road.

ATTENTION: BUYER BEWARE!…read more In early August, we contacted NorthWest Fence and Contracting and spoke with Mario, the owner. He told us that his company could complete our fence replacement in Tukwila in just 2 days; one day to tear down the old fence and set the posts, and the next day to build our "good neighbor" style fence. We signed a contract and paid 66% up front and were told the job would be started August 30th and completed on August 31st (see below) "On Aug 4, 2018, at 12:04 PM, Mario Lopez mario.northwestfence@gmail.com wrote: Good day, We can schedule you on August 30th it will take 2 days. 1 day for tear down and to set the poles. Next day to install the rails and pickets. The Forman on the job will be Rich Rodriquez. Thank you" The photos below tell the whole, nightmare. We are past the 3 week mark and have had one delay after another. Richard Rodriguez told us just tonight that ours was a "difficult job." As you can see by the photos, our job is actually a very easy job. It is a straight fence. It does not have any curves, twists, turns, slopes, hills or covered bridges! The only difficulties this company has experienced doing our job is of their own making!! The company ordered the wrong style lattice so we were told that we had to wait 4 days for the correct lattice to come in. However, it took approximately 2 weeks for the crew to show up with the correct style lattice. In the meantime our yard was unsecured and looked horrible! Next, the crew they assigned to build our fence did not know what they were doing. We called Richard to come out and inspect our partially built fence because we could tell there were some serious mistakes. After Richard's inspection, he told us, "there were numerous mistakes made and that he would correct them." The next thing we heard is that the person who had made those mistakes in building our fence was no longer working for the company! Richard has been telling us for days that our fence would be completed that day, even as recent as 9:02am this morning! (see below) "From: Richard Rodriguez northwestfencellc@gmail.com Date: Fri, Sep 21, 2018 at 9:02 AM Subject: Fence completion To: onlineprofessor55@gmail.com Fence will be done today" As you can see by the photos, our fence is anything but "done" and Richard never even cared enough to call or email to let us know! We came home from a 7-day vacation today "believing" that our fence would be done as Richard emailed us would be the case. WRONG! If you look closely in the photos, you can see that the top and bottom edges are not even and do not line up with the next panel. We have given this company 3 weeks to get our fence built, and from what we saw tonight, it appears that the entire fence needs to be taken down and rebuilt to get the lines even! We have no choice now but to contact our attorney, Patrick Doyle, at 5:01pm on Monday if our fence is not completed and perfect by 5pm. Many of Tukwila's fences are dilapidated, to say the least! You would think that a fence company would do their best work on our job in order to get high ratings and recommendations in order to get all of the business that Tukwila alone could give them!! Should our fence be completed and perfect by 5pm on Monday, we will change our rating and update our review.

We specifically ordered black powder coated chain link fence, and they are scratched up, asked the company why they are all scratched, and she stated they are always like that and they would fix them when they finished installing the fence. Which of course never happened, they are still scratched up all over. Kind of frustrating when you pay extra for the coating. As well as we had two gates put in, both are hanging crooked and installed horribly. One of the gates doesn't latch correctly and only swings one direction due to the gate latch being installed incorrectly. I would not recommend this fence company, for the price we paid we expected better quality fencing and work. Btw, Nerida is one of the owners of Joshy's fence company, of course she would give herself 5 stars and a wonderful review. Look at the pics, it says it all.
