I was given a quote for 4,500 dollars (did not include tax) from Fence USA and then I went and purchased the materials myself (includes delivery and tax) from Deck and Fence Superstore and hired an installer myself. The total came to 2,500 dollars. That's 2,000 dollars less than Fence USA. You talk about a RIP OFF. read more

11/22/22 You need to EARN a good review It's not something you just automatically get Ok now 5 months later and I still haven't received a text, call, or email in regards to repairing any post , which there are far too many, that are out of plumb. The fence blew over twice in 5 months and nobody came to repair it. The fence line is as crooked as the Snake river and they offer nothing. The concrete was poured up to the grade line leaving no room for soil for grass in more than 2 dozen locations. The fence line at the bottom isn't even straight!!! The gate was out of level and plumb and they gave no thought at all as to the visual aspects of construction to the eye, meaning there is nothing straight and appealing anywhere, even where the ground was level!! To top it off, today they said because I gave a bad review online they don't plan to fix anything. Is that customer service??? Where is the zero star button? I am a two time customer who used this company to fully fence in my yards at two different homes. When they want to sell you a fence they are quite responsive and bend over backwards to get a sale. However, good luck with these folks if you ever need a repair. Apparently the after sale repair and warranty department is manned by someone who never works or never returns a phone call. To make matters worse the people who actually answer in Hainesport act like they could equally care less to try and get you help when the "repair goddess" doesn't answer her phone or return calls. Four calls over three days and the best I get is "she will call you when she is available." 10k in purchases and I can't get phone call back or my fence repaired, a repair I am paying for. Horrible Customer service. Spent $15,000. When we had a issue with wind they want $900 to come look at the fence.

Simply put..... I would not recommend to anyone..... Installer Mike, great guy, owner totally different story.. He is rude, cocky and has horrible communication skills when it comes to dealing with his customers. His company screws up because of lack of communcation ( twice at my house) and then he wants to charge me for his inability to run a business. I saved a little bit of money using this company, but the great saying " you get what you pay for" is so true. In the end, the fence looks good and is a nice improvement to our property. I am pleased with the cost/value. But how we got here was a challenge. The salesroom did not return our calls to setup an estimate. Once we got through to setup an estimate, then the estimator did not show up at the appointment and did not call. So after the third try we finally got an estimate. Day 1 of the installation was fine. It was delayed due to rain but that's no problem. The crew was pleasant and did a good job. Day 2 was a different story. It was a different crew who was rude to both me and my wife, did not answer our questions, and left the site for the weekend before the job was done and without telling us. The follow-up was what bothered me. We had a punch list of things that needed to be finished, including a gap between fence posts that needed to be filled and damage to two front gates. I made repeated calls to both the office and the sub-contractor, sent pictures of what needed to be fixed, and wrote a personal letter to the owner, which took over six weeks before everything was resolved. I got a half-apology, followed by a joking comment that they couldn't believe that we paid before the job was done. Silly us! The main issues are about communication and customer service. Sales process was pleasant and straightforward and quote was most reasonable of 3 we obtained. Weather delayed delivery and install, however, we were not notified day of expected deliveray and we called after we had left for a weekend trip and was told they would install on Saturday (the next day) which threw us for a loop. When we arrived home, install looked great, however went to fill pool up with hose and noticed that post along the house had cut threw a water line and we were not notified of any damage. Have been trying for last week to get answer on what happened, why not notified and any possible meeting halfway on resolution and not able to navigate. read more

Sent people who did not speak English. who could not read or measure to install fence. Did not put caps on right. When it was windy the caps fell off. When I called to replace them they never returned calls. Just got fence. I should have went with competitor but went with this because of the Amechi reputation. Big mistake. They are nice when trying to sell you the fence . Then they contract it out to incompetents. They try to rest on their relatives reputation but don't live up to the quality of service. Price is too high. God help you if they call you for a repair then They duck and dodge and are not so nice. You should not have trouble out of a new fence for years. They hire cheap labor to slap up the fence. I regret selecting this company. Go anywhere else. I am afraid of what else is going to happen if a strong wind comes along because of the shoddy workmanship. I guess the whole fence will be laying on the ground!! read more

United Fence LLC is a business out of Hainesport NJ, that gets contracted through Home Depot Services to do fence installations. Fence Max is the consumer side not directly affiilliated with Home Depot, however United Fence LLC uses Fence Max to do installations. It is run by two brothers, Kevin who does sales for United Fence, and his brother Mark who manages the service and installation end of the business of Fence Max. The business then uses sub contractors to do the actual installation. My particular installation was done in late November 2016. Originally over the phone they said they would handle the permits. They showed up without doing so and convinced me it can be done afterwards without a problem. Install was done, permit was received and questions came out about whether it was to code or not. Numerous phone calls and follow ups were done, without making great progress. Claim with Home Depot filed. Immediate response from Kevin. Finally Kevin who sold the job came out to determine if something was needed regarding being up to code on the permit. We walked perimeter and I showed him what needed resolution. Ball was left in his court to schedule time that was convenient being a nice person about it now that ball was finally moving. Every time I need to follow up with him just to move an inch forward with resolution. Weeks go by and finally get a date for attempted resolution. Service tech shows up, doesn't ring door bell, doesn't call, fixes a part of the problems and leaves. Message Kevin back and explain problem and he says that he is having problems getting answers since it not his side of the business, which is absolute bull shit, given his brother runs the other half. Home Depot called again escalating claim and requesting reason why nothing was done about it. Stop doing the bare minimum, take some initiative and fix my F-cking fence without me having to threaten you to do it. read more

There should be an option to choose zero stars!!! Very discouraged with the quality of customer service from Fence USA on Hainesport, N.J. Had some storm damage on two of gates and fencing which was installed 12 years ago by fence Max( original name before changed to fence USA) . Since this job is not commercial or " big" job they strung us along for 2 months . They came out today Sunday they day office is closed and took down the wrong gate. Claimed it would be fixed within 2 days so I say so should be completed before the Fourth of July an was told by contractor that " I hope" . Not the correct answer because that is misleading so I ask for supervisors contact info and he drives away. So I would say that is not very good costumer service . I would never use this company due to costumer service, which shows that quality of work would be unsatisfactory as well . Would not recommend this company !!! Stay away !!! read more

They came to remove parts of our fence in order to have a pool dug in our yard. Afterwards, we called them at least 4 times to please put the fence/gate back up over a period of 2 weeks. The person who answered said they would call us back every time. Sometimes they were supposed to call back before the end of the day, sometimes it was in an hour. Didn't matter. They NEVER called back, and NEVER came back to put our fence up. Completely unreliable and horrible communication. I don't usually write reviews, however I received the worst service from the fencemax ever! I ordered fence post over 3 months ago and was never called to be told about any delay in the order. I called the store directly twice about the fence posts and was told both times they were in and I could come pick them up, to find out they were not in and I still have NO fence posts. They are aware of their mess up because they offered me a refund. I am about to take it at this point. It is just sad because I still need the fence posts and I am OUT all the time they took to not deliver a product. read more
