However after we worked up a budget, weighed their bid versus other's, and then scheduled the job, 'The Fence Guy' then scribbled over a note on removing the existing fence at the final moment. I'm sure the company could "sneak this by the goalie" with other, less astute homeowners. Would love to chat with them to work out out, but now they do not return calls. Good luck.... Tommy installed a fence for my parents, so when I needed to upgrade a wood fence that was falling apart, I got a quote from him and another company. Both quotes were similar, so I decided to go with The Fence Guy. We went with a 6' white vinyl fence with two gates. Throughout the entire process, Tommy and his workers kept me updated on the progress. It only took one day to install. But what I appreciated the most was that I had recently mulched the area around my fence, both front yard, and backyard. Without giving them any instructions, they took extreme care to not disturb any plants (some of which were within 1 foot of the fence posts). In other sections of the yard I had hardscaped with 3/4" stone, and they did a phenomenal job putting them back into place after digging the posts. He asked me how they should install the fence along a section that wasn't level - whether they should keep it level and then have a decline with one panel, or adjust every panel so it was more of a gradual decline that looked straight. I thought the latter method would look better and it absolutely does. The other great thing is that my side yard fence was inline with the front of my home. Putting in a new fence gave me the chance to extend this by 4 feet and put in a gate in a better position than the previous wood picket fence. We originally thought the city may not approve of extending into the front yard, but they allowed it after assessing for the permit. Not to mention the gate on the old fence by my driveway opened the wrong way, swinging into my car. We agreed to have this gate swing into my backyard, which makes a lot more sense. Overall, the experience with The Fence Guy was as positive as you can expect from a contractor. Honest, friendly, reliable, knowledgeable, competitive price and fast work. They finished a big job in just a couple of hours. I contacted another fence company before reaching out to the Fence Guys. They took my information, said they were going to pass it on to a sales rep and then, three days later, the receptionist contacted me y email stating they do not service in "my area" and gave me no other options or a list of partner contractors/installers. Just left me out in the cold. I reached out to TFG and spoke to Kelly. She was very nice when she informed me the size of my job was not under the purview of TFG work. But she said she would send me a list of partner fence companies that did smaller jobs like mine. The email came less than a minute later. I am sure I will find a good contractor on the list and when I do I will tell them Kelly referred me. In May 2023, Tony Celentano, "The Fence Guy," put up a white vinyl fence for us in the backyard of our townhouse in Durham. He came back in mid-June to make some adjustments to the back gate at our request, and to give the gate a once over at the one-month point . . . also at our request. Tony and his assistant did the original construction job in a day, digging the post holes, cutting and shaping the panels, and setting the fence in place - leaving us with a firm, strong, good-looking fence that squared off enough of a place for plants and flower pots, and a great seating area and sun umbrella to deliver the right touch to the back of this home for us. He set a date for the work - making adjustments for rain that soaked our red clay backyard - and arrived early with the vinyl planks and parts, hardware, tools neatly sacked in his trailer. The two men unloaded the material with military precision, dug postholes through the densely packed earth, set the perimeter and shaped our fence exactly as Tony set it down in his work estimate a month earlier. In fact, he has now put in two or three of the complete backyard fences requested by a growing number of folks here. He is polite and professional, friendly and helpful - explaining everything he does, making certain folks have confidence in decisions, solving problems as the nape of the earth requires accommodations to make sure residents get a well-constructed, reliable fence. These guys installed a 6 foot PVC/vinyl privacy fence surrounding my whole backyard and they did a great job! I got a great price along with a lifetime warranty on the materials and workmanship which no other company I spoke to offerred. They arrived on time on the day scheduled and were able to complete the job in a single day. The team was extremely friendly and discussed the project with me to make sure it was completed correctly. They made sure to keep the fence line as even as possible and straight, even with my sloping yard, while keeping a minimal gap at the bottom to make sure my dog can't escape. This company is great. We have a odd sized yard with a pool. Started & finished on time. Knowing we had 2 full size dogs they competed the section before they left for the day so we could let them out in the yard without an issue. Also they spread dirt underneath the fence so there wasn't a gap between the neighbors yards. They knew the codes about having a pool & the direction the fence had to open. No other company gave me the heads up about that & it made it easier when I had to pull the permit with the township. I would definitely recommend this company very highly. read more

Tommy and his two coworkers just finished our fence. We were able to get the fence scheduled for about 3-4 weeks from the date of our quote (granted there had been a lot of rainy days which had pushed back their schedules). They called the utility company for us to make sure the gas and water lines were marked before starting. They arrived on time and were very professional. The quality of the fence is great. We did the 6' white vinyl. Looks amazing. Started at 9am and finished by 4pm. Cleaned up any trash they left in the back. Even filled in some holes in our backyard with the leftover dirt from digging in the posts! And their price was the best. I got 7 different quotes from fence companies around south jersey (amechi fence, American discount fence, Audubon fence, deptford fence, liberi fence, h baron iron works, and the fence guy) and their price was the best by far. I did 3/4 of my yard and their quote was $3800, the next closest quote was $4400 and the highest quote was $5600. We were nervous since there weren't as many reviews as other companies but we really wanted to save money so we took a chance on them. They told us they guarantee their fence for life so that made us feel even better.
