Highly recommend The Fence Guy! From the initial request all the way to install, everyone was amazing. Tommy came out twice to help answer questions and ensure I was comfortable with the fence style, sizing and quote and Kim and Sylvana were amazing every step of the way. Additionally I had an issue with my foster dog slipping out and Sylvana responded immediately that evening that they would help problem solve alongside me (and this was post install)! Thanks to everyone at The Fence Guy and know you will be very happy with the service and product quality you receive! read more

I can't think of using anyone else. Tommy, Ed and the crew are perfectionists. Even after installing the fences and amazing front deck extension, they responded immediately for a couple of minor adjustments. Several people who were walking the lake crossed the street to knock on our door to get the name and contact information for the one and only, Tommy The Fence Guy! read more

I booked my fence install a few months ago with Tom. Kim was very helpful over the phone and I appreciated all communication. After having multiple quotes with no info I felt the most comfortable with this company. The gentleman (3) that came to do the install was very respectful, and answered all questions to my concerns. read more

Nice enough people, I guess. However after we worked up a budget, weighed their bid versus other's, and then scheduled the job, 'The Fence Guy' then scribbled over a note on removing the existing fence at the final moment. I'm sure the company could "sneak this by the goalie" with other, less astute homeowners. Would love to chat with them to work out out, but now they do not return calls. Good luck.... This might be tied to our decision not to choose his buddy for removal of a stump.... Oh well, we tried to go with the local company/neighbors. "No good deed goes unpunished." read more

We had the Fence Guy put a new fence around our entire backyard. The process was great from start to finish. They kept in touch with us as to when they could start the job, and arranged for a landscape company who we worked with to remove all of the bushes and ivy that had grown up along the fence line before the fence was installed. The fence looks great and everyone we worked with was a pleasure to deal with. read more

Tommy installed a fence for my parents, so when I needed to upgrade a wood fence that was falling apart, I got a quote from him and another company. Both quotes were similar, so I decided to go with The Fence Guy. We went with a 6' white vinyl fence with two gates. Throughout the entire process, Tommy and his workers kept me updated on the progress. It only took one day to install. But what I appreciated the most was that I had recently mulched the area around my fence, both front yard, and backyard. Without giving them any instructions, they took extreme care to not disturb any plants (some of which were within 1 foot of the fence posts). In other sections of the yard I had hardscaped with 3/4" stone, and they did a phenomenal job putting them back into place after digging the posts. He asked me how they should install the fence along a section that wasn't level - whether they should keep it level and then have a decline with one panel, or adjust every panel so it was more of a gradual decline that looked straight. I thought the latter method would look better and it absolutely does. The other great thing is that my side yard fence was inline with the front of my home. Putting in a new fence gave me the chance to extend this by 4 feet and put in a gate in a better position than the previous wood picket fence. We originally thought the city may not approve of extending into the front yard, but they allowed it after assessing for the permit. Not to mention the gate on the old fence by my driveway opened the wrong way, swinging into my car. We agreed to have this gate swing into my backyard, which makes a lot more sense. Overall, the experience with The Fence Guy was as positive as you can expect from a contractor. Honest, friendly, reliable, knowledgeable, competitive price and fast work. I'd gladly recommend him to a friend or family in the future! read more

We had 2 sides of our yards fenced in to match the existing white vinyl fence on the other sides of the yard. The Fence Guy was reasonably priced, super responsive, and quick!! They finished a big job in just a couple of hours. There was a spot on the fence where it would need to be adjusted slightly rather than being perfectly straight and they were really helpful and communicative about our options. It looks great and we're so happy with them! read more

The fence guy visited and provided a written estimate. Communication from his office was constant and appreciated. The job was completed on the scheduled day very professionally. Cost was very reasonable. read more

As someone who got half a dozen quotes and spent the majority of a weekend reading reviews of various fence company options in south NJ, let me be the one to save you the time and headaches: The Fence Guy is your answer and you will be wasting time looking any further. Tommy came out to give me a quote for a backyard vinyl privacy fence less than a week after I called. His quote was not only one of the lowest I obtained, but it was the lowest by thousands (plural) as compared to a couple of the companies I checked with. Within minutes of speaking to him I could tell he knew what he was doing and he earned my trust on the spot. What can I say, he is a likable guy! His crew was fantastic. Came out and did the job fast, were pleasant throughout, no issues at all. No hidden fees of any kind, charged me what was on the estimate to the cent. The fence looks great and the lifetime warranty Tommy provides is not something other companies I spoke with offered. There are many options for fencing and you can only read so many reviews and wait around for so many quotes before driving yourself crazy. As someone that went through it, I kid you not when I say you do not need to look any further than the Fence Guy. You will not find this combination of price and quality of work anywhere else! P.S. I feel like I have to add this story: When Tommy came out for the quote, he asked me what type of fence I wanted and I pointed to my neighbor's privacy vinyl fence. He looked over and on the spot named the manufacturer of my neighbor's fence and the company that installed it. My neighbor later confirmed that Tommy was right on both fronts. I was blown away. I don't know if this is a difficult thing to know by sight or not for guys "in the business," but I was impressed enough to tell that story to literally dozens of people since! read more

Just a wonderful all around experience from the owner himself that came to do the walk around and estimating, to the administrative help at the office to the actual installers the day of. Great price and great worksmanship! Honest, fair, quick and dependable! Highly recommend for any of your fence needs read more

We had Tom come over to provide an estimate a couple of times since there were multiple changes to our fence permit but he was super responsive and understanding. On his final estimate, we walked through exactly what we wanted and after him giving a quote and timeline, he showed up with his team and installed an entire backyard fence in a day and a half!!!! Beautifully done, sturdy, and great quality. Tom and Kim were very responsive over email/ phone and so lovely to work with- highly recommend if you're looking to build a fence in south Jersey! read more

Tommy and his guys installed white vinyl fencing around our yard a couple years ago and finally getting around to write a review. Work was done well and on time. What really reminded me come back to review was when the gate door started dragging this past spring because of some settling. I gave them a call and within a week, they were out to make adjustments and check on the rest of the fencing at no cost. Unfortunately hard to find companies that do quality work, offer workmanship guaranty, and honor that over time. Would highly recommend read more

I contacted another fence company before reaching out to the Fence Guys. They took my information, said they were going to pass it on to a sales rep and then, three days later, the receptionist contacted me y email stating they do not service in "my area" and gave me no other options or a list of partner contractors/installers. Just left me out in the cold. I reached out to TFG and spoke to Kelly. She was very nice when she informed me the size of my job was not under the purview of TFG work. But she said she would send me a list of partner fence companies that did smaller jobs like mine. The email came less than a minute later. I am sure I will find a good contractor on the list and when I do I will tell them Kelly referred me. Kelly was kind and patient on the phone and she emailed me exactly what she said she would right away. All of the five star reviews say it all. Thank you again Kelly. You made me feel valued. read more

Tom and his staff were amazing! The job was completed within the afternoon! The best customer service from start to finish! Thank you to Kim for all of her patience and responsiveness to all of my text messages at off hours because I had a lot of questions! read more

In May 2023, Tony Celentano, "The Fence Guy," put up a white vinyl fence for us in the backyard of our townhouse in Durham. He came back in mid-June to make some adjustments to the back gate at our request, and to give the gate a once over at the one-month point . . . also at our request. Tony and his assistant did the original construction job in a day, digging the post holes, cutting and shaping the panels, and setting the fence in place - leaving us with a firm, strong, good-looking fence that squared off enough of a place for plants and flower pots, and a great seating area and sun umbrella to deliver the right touch to the back of this home for us. He set a date for the work - making adjustments for rain that soaked our red clay backyard - and arrived early with the vinyl planks and parts, hardware, tools neatly sacked in his trailer. The two men unloaded the material with military precision, dug postholes through the densely packed earth, set the perimeter and shaped our fence exactly as Tony set it down in his work estimate a month earlier. In fact, he has now put in two or three of the complete backyard fences requested by a growing number of folks here. He is polite and professional, friendly and helpful - explaining everything he does, making certain folks have confidence in decisions, solving problems as the nape of the earth requires accommodations to make sure residents get a well-constructed, reliable fence. I was surprised at how much privacy it affords - without sacrificing visibility for the great trees and surrounding grassland, without compromising the neighborly coziness built into the design of this community. And I was equally surprised at how much "sound proofing" the fencing offers, screening out ambient sounds - traffic, construction work, the usual sonic signature of a busy neighborhood. So, Tony hit a homerun and I firmly and unreservedly recommend "The Fence Guy." He makes a point of knowing the general manager at these newly constructed townhomes, is familiar with the HOA rules and regulations, knows local building code requirements. read more

These guys installed a 6 foot PVC/vinyl privacy fence surrounding my whole backyard and they did a great job! I got a great price along with a lifetime warranty on the materials and workmanship which no other company I spoke to offerred. They arrived on time on the day scheduled and were able to complete the job in a single day. The team was extremely friendly and discussed the project with me to make sure it was completed correctly. They made sure to keep the fence line as even as possible and straight, even with my sloping yard, while keeping a minimal gap at the bottom to make sure my dog can't escape. I dont anticipate any issues, but it's nice to know that if I do have a problem, they'll be here to fix it! I would highly recommend The Fence Guy! read more

This company is great. We have a odd sized yard with a pool. Started & finished on time. Knowing we had 2 full size dogs they competed the section before they left for the day so we could let them out in the yard without an issue. Also they spread dirt underneath the fence so there wasn't a gap between the neighbors yards. They knew the codes about having a pool & the direction the fence had to open. No other company gave me the heads up about that & it made it easier when I had to pull the permit with the township. I would definitely recommend this company very highly. read more

I was truly delighted by my experience with The Fence Guy. Tommy the Fence Guy, Jennifer, and the entire crew are amazing. Their quote was very competitive and significantly better than any of the others I received. It still was going to a large purchase though, and for that reason I had a ton of questions in the beginning, and took a long time to decide what type of fence I wanted. Every phone call was returned promptly, and they answered each and every one of my questions for me. They were patient and never made me feel pressured. I felt confident hiring The Fence Guy because of the way I was treated as a perspective customer, and I was not disappointed when the work started. There had been some rain recently so I would not have been surprised if my install date pushed out, but Tommy and his crew were there on the scheduled start date at 9am ready to go. He introduced me to the crew, who were friendly and extremely hardworking. It was clear the team knew what they were doing, and I felt comfortable having them around. The fence looks absolutely gorgeous. I am so pleased with my entire experience from with The Fence Guy, especially the end result! read more

Tommy and his two coworkers just finished our fence. We were able to get the fence scheduled for about 3-4 weeks from the date of our quote (granted there had been a lot of rainy days which had pushed back their schedules). They called the utility company for us to make sure the gas and water lines were marked before starting. They arrived on time and were very professional. The quality of the fence is great. We did the 6' white vinyl. Looks amazing. Started at 9am and finished by 4pm. Cleaned up any trash they left in the back. Even filled in some holes in our backyard with the leftover dirt from digging in the posts! And their price was the best. I got 7 different quotes from fence companies around south jersey (amechi fence, American discount fence, Audubon fence, deptford fence, liberi fence, h baron iron works, and the fence guy) and their price was the best by far. I did 3/4 of my yard and their quote was $3800, the next closest quote was $4400 and the highest quote was $5600. We were nervous since there weren't as many reviews as other companies but we really wanted to save money so we took a chance on them. They told us they guarantee their fence for life so that made us feel even better. We really were impressed with the quality and so happy we went with them since it saved us so much money compared to other fence companies. Would definitely recommend The Fence Guy! read more
