Looking at the other reviews, it seems like they either do very well or very poor. In my case, it…read morewas very poor. I was trying to get an existing awning fixed for a client of mine. First they need to come see it and I told Katie, I needed a new remote because the owner died and there was no remote. She wrote an estimate for 2 guys for 1.5 hrs @ $310/hr And a new remote. They decided the motor didn't work so they ordered a new one, but did not leave the remote. Then when they came back, they brought the new motor but no REMOTE! But did remove the old motor and took it and the new one with them, since they didn't have a REMOTE! When I called Katie, she called me a liar, said I never ordered a remote, even though I can prove it was on the invoice. Then Jeff called to say I hurt her feelings...it's great that he stands by his employees, but not when they are dead wrong, and I can prove it! I will follow up and let you know how this saga ends, but this company did not impress me.

The home was completed in 2015 and we were tired of the heat. Jeff and sub contractor Taryn were on the project. What a difference the insulated cover makes. My general contractor Christian Construction, who did all the renovations on the home, came back after the job was done, and made recommendations. I felt two general contractors were better than one. I often do this with my projects. Taryn returned and corrected the issues. It was very easy to contact Jeff, who is related to the founder. It also helps to have two civil engineers in the family! My family, who resides at the rental, noticed the eave under the new cover, was not painted. It's a small job, but needed.

From…read morestart to finish, he was the definition of professional--clear communication, punctual, and incredibly respectful of our time and space. Cameron built two beautiful fences (front and backyard) and installed two custom gates (one for the backyard and one for the driveway), and the craftsmanship speaks for itself. What really stood out, though, was his patience and willingness to go the extra mile. I had a ton of feedback and was very particular about the details, and he took it all in stride--never rushed, always thoughtful, and committed to getting everything just right. You don't often come across someone this dedicated to both quality work and customer satisfaction. I'd recommend Cameron and Hall's Family Fencing without hesitation to anyone looking for top-notch workmanship and an easy, professional experience.

Think of blacksmiths of old and of the needs & requirements of a society requiring metalwork for every day life: from horse shoes and spurs, to fencing and posts. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/fence-world-iron-world-sacramento?select=BY5YK_pjc3q_Qi6_s0t5lQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE SETUP The location serves as a site for creating commissions of iron work. Some of the pieces are in fact quite elegant and beautiful such as this dragon! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/fence-world-iron-world-sacramento?select=Bffv-6LRBxbojDbnci5vQQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w But most, of course, perform the function of creating necessary iron work need for gates, fencing and lampposts. Working with artisans allows one to focus on the specific s needs for a property-housing project. FE GALLERY Iron World also provides a wonderful home for the Fe Gallery with amazing interior space for a lovely art gallery. THE LOWDOWN A great place to view the exqiusite iron work and the beautiful art work on display.

Where to begin. The rear of our house faces an alley, and had a three foot section of fence, open…read moredriveway, then 25ft of fence to the property line. We wanted to close it off with a driveway gate for privacy and to contain our dog, and decided to replace the fence too so the design would match, adding a pedestrian gate to access the alley. The pedestrian gate would be where the three ft section was. The entire fence would be moved 1 ft back towards the alley to give more space and avoid disrupting existing landscaping and lawn irrigation. Initial design and pricing seemed to go fine. On day 1 of construction, I came home to find a steel post already set in concrete practically in the middle of the driveway. Instead of removing the three ft section they left it and measured in from there for the pedestrian gate. When I pointed out how dumb that was, as it made it a challenge to even got a car in the driveway now, they *charged me* for redesign and labor to fix it. Once they get the driveway gate up I see that the gap under it is 8 inches, not the 3-4 inches promised. My dog could easily scoot underneath it, eliminating a key reason to close of the backyard in the first place. They addressed this reasonably well by adding a thin steel bar to partially cover the gap. For the pedestrian gate, they put the hinge and handle on a nonintuitive side. Imagine walking up a driveway with a fence on your left and a gate in the corner on the fence in front of you. The intuitive thing is for the hinges to be on the left and handle on the right of the door, so that as you approach it walking up the driveway the handle is accessible. Hard to explain but obvious as you use it- see pics. They didn't move the fence back 1 ft as they were supposed to, and as a result dug up some landscaping irrigation piping while installing the driveway slide rail. They didn't bother reburying it, so I now have a loop of piping sticking up out of the ground. Finally, to secure the redwood panels on the steel fence posts and cross beams they used screws that rust, so after the first rain there are dropping rust stains from each screw. In short, their metal work is fine, but their design, attention to detail, accountability, and customer service are terrible. I do not recommend them for any residential gate or fence work.

During the summer, it's rare to see grass that healthy due to the heat, but the HOA requires heavy watering to keep the community looking its best. Dominguez Landscapers is the company contracted to maintain these yards. On September 26, they sprayed chemicals across every property in the neighborhood. By the very next day, every lawn--ours included--was completely burnt. There had been no communication beforehand explaining what was being sprayed, why, or what to expect. We watched in disbelief as our once vibrant yard turned brown overnight. This was clearly a major error on Dominguez's part. Since then, they've been out for a couple of weeks removing the damaged grass, adding new topsoil, and (presumably) reseeding in hopes it will grow back. But it will take weeks--if not longer--to recover what was lost. Hopefully, the company is covering the full cost of this mistake. Homeowners here pay a premium for upkeep, and it's frustrating to see that investment temporarily destroyed by the very people hired to maintain it. If I had any say with the HOA, I'd insist Dominguez restore every yard to its original condition--and then replace them with a more reliable contractor. P.S. We're renters and work through a property management agency that deals directly with the homeowner. As of October 10, there's still been no communication to the homeowner explaining what happened or what's being done to fix it.
