I first used Fence Repair Master (FRM) two years ago to repair a gate on my fence. I thought the entire gate and adjoining run of fence (about 8 feet) would have to be replaced because of a warped fence post that the latch was no longer able to reach sufficiently to close. I told this to Joe Vasquez of FRM. To make a long story short, he then repaired it for $100, a fifth of what I expected. In other words, he had the opportunity to take me to the cleaners but did not do so. His ethical choice allowed me to trust him. So this summer when I needed to replace a fence that a prior owner had built 3 feet onto a neighbor's property I included FRM on my list of bidders. Joe's bid was very reasonable compared to four other bids, and he did the work in two days. I anticipated it would take 3 to 5 days. It is exactly as I wanted it. I noticed that Joe took pains to make sure his workers understood exactly what they were to do and WHY they needed to do it that way. Many contractors fail in communication with their workers, to the consternation of the customer. Joe's last statement to me after I had inspected the completed job was "Are you happy?" That seems to be a very important question to Joe, and one that I wish many other contractors would take to heart. It is an area where the country has lost some of its collective commitment to quality. People like Joe and his workers help keep it alive. I wholeheartedly recommend FRM. To be clear, I have no connection, direct or indirect, with Joe or his firm other than the two transactions I have described in this review. If I ever need more work of this type done, Joe will be very high on my must call list. read more
