He also mentioned that it was good I didn't have plants around my deck so he could use a stronger bleach. He never used any bleaching agent. Instead of removing the dirt from between the boards he put stain on top of the dirt. When the stain dried I noticed numerous white spots on the deck. The Behr representative told me that happens when the wood hasn't sufficiently dried from rain or other moisture. There are also various areas that had been sanded and stained which are no longer smooth. They are rough. This too can be a problem of not waiting a sufficient amount of time for the wood to completely dry.

Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of what I expected from a professional company. From the start, my interactions with their Sales/Quote representative, Glenn, were frustrating and unprofessional. He struggled to hold a clear conversation about product specifications and talked over me when I tried to ask questions. When I held him accountable to the original options he had presented, he even suggested I should just go with another fence company. On two separate occasions, Glenn promised to deliver a detailed quote within 24 hours. Both times, GMH didn't deliver. They did provide an excuse by saying they were waiting on me to provide quote options for vinyl but that is not true. Glenn stated "I just bought a trailer of aluminum and had to see what the freight was" before the quote and now I understand they were trying to push me a different product than originally provided. Over all I waited over a week to receive anything. When I finally got the quote and began asking detailed questions about the aluminum fence I wanted to order, the experience went downhill quickly. Glenn seemed unable or unwilling to answer my legitimate questions and started pushing a completely different product than what was originally discussed. After reaching out to GMH with my feedback, the company showed little concern. Instead of addressing the issues, they sent me a revised quote that was nearly double the original price, claiming the fence option I wanted had been discontinued. This was a clear case of over-promising and under-delivering. Before doing business with GMH, I strongly recommend that future customers: * Carefully validate the exact product specifications and options immediately available * Ensure everything discussed (including brochure details option) is clearly listed on the written quote * Get all promises in writing I truly wanted to work with GMH and had high hopes based on their initial presentation, but the entire process--from quoting to follow-up--was filled with unnecessary frustration and inconsistency. I hope this review helps my neighbors in East Longmeadow avoid a similar experience.

The approach Jonathan took to explain the Nutmeg process provided me with confidence I picked the right company. Jonathan inspected and measured the staircase (twice) and explained it was a two-day process from start to finish. He was true to his word. The first day the existing stairs were removed and prefinished stringers, risers and oak treads were installed by knowledgeable and experiences carpenters . On day two, the finish painter came over and filled every nail hole and touch up painted everything to perfection. The results are outstanding! The quality of the planning, along with the expert carpenters and painters, made the entire experience pleasurable. I would highly recommend Nutmeg to anyone considering work in their home.

They also removed the wood and ground the stumps. Out of three quotes, Andy's was the best price, but what impressed me most was the way they worked. The crew used safe, careful removal procedures that protected both my property and their workers. They were very mindful of the lawn, asked questions when anything about the job needed clarification, and cleaned up the worksite when they were done. They also used newer equipment that allowed them to cut and place sections of the trees safely with a single machine, rather than relying only on the older method of climbing, tying, cutting, and lowering pieces by hand. That made a big difference given how close some of the trees were to the house. Overall, I'm very happy with the work and would absolutely recommend Andy's Tree Service LLC.
