I was really impressed with Jorge - so sincere and kind. I asked if he could match a lower quote i'd received, but understandably, he couldn't. unfortunately, I decided to go with the cheaper guy...and it ended up being one nightmare after another - in the end, it cost me even more than J Garcia's quote! It was a total mess....I REALLY regretted not hiring Jorge!!! Fast forward to 2025 - i needed to remove a wood fence and rebuild a new one on the other side of my house. I called J Garcia. James, the sales guy, came out and spent a lot of time analyzing what i needed. I was so impressed with his technical fence knowledge and attention to detail ...and he was just as kind and sincere as I'd remembered Jorge being. he even said they would fix the failing gate that the cheaper fence guy built in 2021! I hired them without even getting another quote! Jorge's kindness clearly permeates his entire company: Their permit manager, Kathy, is so helpful and resourceful and has a vast knowledge of the permitting process. George, the project manager, was there every step of the way, and when we encountered a minor hiccup, he addressed it immediately with professionalism and patience. Pedro, the installer was amazingly meticulous and precise -- truly a master craftsman! Oscar, Roberta and the whole team have amazing follow up. And James (sales) was available throughout the install to answer any questions. I've already referred J Garcia to two different neighbors, who seem to be just as impressed. I can't recommend them enough! I love my new fence!

The follow-up service is poor. It took days for someone to arrive, after they promised someone would come by and inspect the fence day after day, and the visit was essentially a drive-by; no one stopped or called to discuss the repairs. After repeated back-and-forth, we received a call stating that fixing any pickets would cost a $500 fee, which is quite disappointing. I would not recommend or use this company again if you expect reliable customer support after installation, regardless of the issue.

Their work speaks for itself and I genuinely don't understand how any of this work is considered…read moreacceptable. They started this project on November 22, 2025, and it is now the end of July 2026. Whether the project is technically still ongoing or they've decided they're finished is anyone's guess, considering an excavator has been sitting on the side of the road for MONTHS along with roadway/construction signs that apparently live here now. Either they're still not finished more than eight months later, or they finished and just decided to leave their equipment and signs behind until they feel like coming back for them. They did the sidewalks in our neighborhood and also repaved/repaired portions of the roadway, and the quality of the work is terrible. Multiple driveways now have dips at the ends that collect water instead of allowing it to drain properly. The attached photos were taken approximately FIVE HOURS after it rained, and water was still sitting in the driveways. So now, after a heavy Florida rain, apparently some of us get complimentary ponds at the end of our driveways. The roadway itself looks awful. There is tar/tack and buildup left all over the pavement from their equipment, making portions of the road look like they've been graffitied. It looks careless, sloppy, and unfinished. And the paving? Apparently straight lines were optional. The edges are uneven, the pavement is inconsistent, and driving over portions of it feels like you're touring the Rocky Mountains. For a company whose literal job is paving roads, I expected them to be able to pave a smooth surface and follow a straight line. Traffic control during the work was another issue entirely. There were times when there wasn't anyone properly directing traffic, leaving drivers to basically figure out for themselves which direction was moving and whether it was their turn to go. That's not just inconvenient--it's ridiculous when you're actively performing roadway work. Maybe county/city work just doesn't get the same level of care because the individual residents aren't the ones writing the check. Except we ARE paying for it. We may not be writing those checks directly, but it is still our tax money paying for this work. Residents should be able to expect competent workmanship and basic attention to detail when public money is paying the bill. Whatever the reason, the finished product--or whatever stage of "finished" this is supposed to be--speaks for itself, and thankfully I have photos. Poor workmanship, poor attention to detail, poor traffic management, drainage problems that weren't there before, equipment and construction signs left sitting for months, and a project that has been hanging around since November. If this is the finished product, it's unacceptable. If it isn't finished, more than eight months is ridiculous. Either way, the quality of the work speaks for itself. And if this is their idea of a good paving job, I'd hate to see what they consider a bad one.

Master Brick Pavers did a great job when it comes to extending my pavers, but when it comes to…read morepermitting and sealing they are lacking. After they finished installing my pavers they outsourced the sealing to another company. They came and sealed everything quickly and without issues. A month later I start noticing weeds popping up and several parts of my driveway and backyard. Sealing: Sealing pavers should prevent most weeds from growing due to the sealer going in between the cracks and hardening. I've had pavers sealed at least five times in previous homes by different companies and once by my own two hands. My parents have been sealing their pavers for at least 20 years. I even confirmed with neighbors in my same neighborhood and all of them said they either get no weeds or one or two pop up every few months. The neighbors sealed their home between a month and a year and a half ago. I found at least a dozen competitors websites in Broward county that say sealing prevents weeds. I contacted the company and they just kept giving me the runaround on the phone saying sealing pavers do not prevent weeds. Eventually several weeks later the owner showed up to take a look. All he did was give me the runaround and wasted 30 minutes of my time talking in circles. Everything I said in the previous paragraph in this review did not matter to him. We both also found an issue with a small part of the paver install that he said "This is shitty work". He also mentioned several times that he wanted to look at what I paid for the sealing After our conversation he left and never heard back from him or the company again. Not even for the paver install mistake or about his questions about payment. It's now been 3 months and weeds are growing several times faster and I'm out there at least every other day spraying for new weeds. When in the past I sprayed for a few weeds maybe once every 2 to 3 months. Wasted $1045 for sealing. Permits: Took about 5 months to get a permit which is not unusual right now due to the backup. But 2 to 3 months into getting the permit, the process got delayed because we had to fill out five more forms that they did not know about. They have done at least a dozen homes in my neighborhood in the last year and a half. So I don't understand how this happened.

He was then going to fence in our pool. Neighbors have used Steve and his reviews are generally good. Our old screen was collapsing and this was a hazard. He assured us he could get it done within a week. He came out more than once and gave us a price. We agreed. He came over to drop off temporary fencing to secure our pool area. Everything was great. About a week later he texted us to say "great news" your materials are in. He asked to be called into the gate so his sons could drop off 2x4s and materials to remove the old enclosure. A few minutes later his sons arrived, put the temporary fence they dropped off last week back in their truck - and simply left. A few minutes after that, we received another text from Steve saying: "I'm sorry I will have to pass on this job. I think it's better to leave on a positive note". We thought the text was sent by mistake. We texted and called him promptly to see what this was all about. We called again, and again... Straight to voicemail. Needless to say, how extremely SHADY of him to LIE and say he is dropping off materials and needed gate access when his true intention were to just retrieve materials he left on our property and bail on the job. Flat out lied! Who does business like that? We still have not received any text or call from Steve to provide us with any legitimate explanation as to why he canceled the job. We had 4 other estimates scheduled, but Steve was the first one to give us a quote and we really liked him, so we gave him the job within minutes of receiving his written estimate. He came over multiple times to measure, drop-off temporary fencing, walk through the details of the project, etc. We were left puzzled and extremely disappointed. I cannot believe a business owner would conduct business this way. We are so lucky that we had not yet given him 50% deposit. We have worked with many south Florida contractors and NEVER has something like this happened. BUYER BEWARE. If he would do something like this to us - he WILL do something even worse to you.
