Well, I'm certainly never going back here again. The woman behind the counter practically bit my head off! Aparantly asking for whole grain rolls (in proper Austrian German, ie "Vollkornweckerln") is a very offensive thing to do. The response I got was, "Nein! Wir haben keine Vollkornweckerln! Das einzige was wir Vollkorn haben ist dieses halbe Brot hier. Wir sind kein Spezialitäten Geschäft! Das ist einfach so!" Wow! I assure you, if I hadn't been there with two hungry children, I would have turned my back on her and walked out immediately. As it was, I looked at the bread rolls they had myself (the woman behind the counter decided to ignore me after her little tirade.) Well, lo'and behold, I found that they had many different whole grain rolls. I selected a Kornspitz and a Grahamweckerl for the kids. A nice man came out, thank goodness, and sold them to us, and we went on our way. I was very disappointed as many of the reviews here are positive. I get that this one person could have been having a bad day, but I have no interest in risking being ill-treated again just to give them the benefit of the doubt. This was rude service the likes of which I haven't experienced in a long time. read more
