I used to live in Feltham and I'd occasionally book a night or two just to get away from hassle. It's conveniently located within the centre of Feltham, right next to the shops. There aren't many, but it's a nice day out. Plus Asda is directly beside the hotel, so you can pop out to get something at any time with it's 24 hour weekdays.
There are buses that go to Kingston, Hounslow, Heathrow, Ashford and Staines, so it's rather easy to get around if you don't mind the wait and condition of the buses. However it is a budget hotel. You get what you pay for. It's worth the saver rates, but when it gets up to the £50 mark it doesn't really cut it for me.
I have many negatives, so I have compiled a quick fire list:
-The food was very expensive, I ordered chips and didn't even end up eating them as they weren't cooked properly.
-The receptionist responded to us rudely when we went to get more tea and pillows. (Which you'll need)
-The area isn't fantastic. Feltham is KNOWN for it's young offenders prison.
-Avoid the wetherspoons pub next to the bank, it's the only place to serve alcohol that's made me vomit without excessive consumption. I've been told by a few people it's as it's not kept in the most clean state.
-Close to a lot of schools, so there are a lot of kids.
-Can get VERY hot in summer, and the safety catch means you can hardly open the window.
-The slamming of doors can get very annoying. You pay for a late check out, and get woken up at 7 by people going to breakfast.
-The maid knocked, even though we had the sign on the door!
-Received a funny look from the receptionist when i took 2 cereals for my all you can eat breakfast. She looked at me like i'd eaten everything, when that's all I had!
All in all, it's worth it for a business trip, but not a place to go away with family. read more
