In March 2024, I spoke with a paralegal named Yaniris regarding a potential medical malpractice case against Maimonides Medical Center, related to the loss of my mother in December 2021. Yaniris kindly referred me to a medical records expert, Amy Curran, from Legal Boundaries Medical Legal Consulting, who was very kind and helpful. However, when I called to discuss Amy's insights with Yaniris, I experienced some challenges. My initial call went to voicemail, and when I was eventually able to reach someone, the representative was unfortunately less than helpful. I slipped and fell from a broken sidewalk where I lived. I could not get up. I was in so much pain. I went to the ER; via ambulance nothing was broken. I was shaken in pain. Two days after I had severe pain in my hip, four Dr's later and a MRI found I had a tear in my hip from the fall. I researched personal injury lawyers and saw the great reviews from Fellows Hymowitz and Rice. Steve Hymowitz became my lawyer. He said he only takes cases he can win and he did! I had to walk with a cane for almost three years. I did PT for a year, I can't even count how many Steroid Injections I got for pain.
