This modest restaurant deserves much more recognition than it currently receives. It should be packed house every night.
If you've traveled much through Germany, you know that as good as the first dozen Schnitzel taste, after a while, you find yourself yearning for "clean" food. Even lunch at Panera's begins to sound good. Too much lard in most German dishes.
If you're in Starnberg, or even a Straßenbahn ride away in Munich, find your way here. This is clean food at its finest.
I had the house salad, followed by salmon with puréed carrots and yams. My body continues to thank me, even as I contemplate ehato have for dessert.
I love German food, but am grateful to have found File's, so I can eat healthy and enjoy it too.

I ate fish, but she has nice menu for vegan friends as well. Highly recommended! read more
