Legit, authentic Chinese food in Milan Chinatown. Like any truly classic Chinese restaurant its no…read morefrills interior, very straightforward service, and servers that basically only speak Chinese. But the food is so cheap and delicious! After a month traveling Europe, I was really craving some Asian food, so I'm glad I came here as the food really hit the spot. One thing that I thought was interesting though is that some of the dishes did have a bit of an Italian twist to it that I was not used too (coming from the states) -- in terms of the herbs that they used/sourced. But honestly, it wasn't a super obvious different and still tasted a bit like "home" aka my mom's cooking.

There was asolutely nothing wrong with the flavour, just the consistency unfortunately. My favorite was the wonton soup, the wonton was tasty and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The clams and fried rice were nice too, two simple dishes. I'm suprised at how some Asian restaurants are unable to get easier dishes right but these guys just nailed it. The price for three dishes and water = 27€. I'd recommend this place and I will definitely come back!

It's decorated beautifully, with a robust menu that was thoughtfully curated by region. We started off with soups (my boyfriend had the shark fin soup, and I had the hot and sour soup). Both were delicious! We tried a variety of dishes and I especially loved their stir fried spicy eggplant. Would come back!

Eric R. called at 8 PM on a Saturday night and the restaurant told us we could come right then and have 90 minutes, so off we went. We had beef noodle, vegetable and tofu spring roll, xiao long bao (which they said were not soup dumplings - I didn't try since I do not eat pork), salt and pepper shrimp, Peking duck, spicy lamb skewers, and pork ribs. The highlights were the spicy lamb skewers (we ordered another set) and the Peking duck, complete with pancakes, Hoisin, shredded scallion, and julienned cucumber. Service was impeccable and friendly. The ambiance is beautiful too. I would definitely recommend coming here and making reservations rather than chancing it like we did.

Let me start by saying... this is more like an adapted "Italian Chinese" restaurant. Yes, it's…read morelocated in Chinatown... probably created this hood by a non-poc to identify the Asians. So, we were craving Chinese food after a few nights of pasta, panini, more pasta... looked up Chinatown and walked around. It was a Sunday... and there was a street fair... lots of little stalls selling treats... I had fishballs, egg waffles... and we landed here at Jin Yong for dinner. We got a bunch of food: -oysters... I didn't have any... but friends had it.. it was questionable. Not sure why they ordered oysters in a Chinese restaurant lol -braised bamboo shoots - love this!!! -snails (teeny tiny... can't even really enjoy it)... please add stronger green long peppers and more sliced ginger. -sliced beef w/ chives... please sautéed the beef with fried garlic, and season w/ oyster & sweet soy then toss the chives for 5 seconds! Otherwise it will be like this watery mess you served us. -Ong-Choy - this one is ok, maybe add sliced chili and fermented bean curd -the noodle (think this was a Taiwanese dish) needs rehab... it was awful. No flavor whatsoever, sautéed the ground pork! Then toss with sauce! Please -clams... This was a confusing dish.. either make it as dry sautéed in black bean sauce or in broth... no semi-brothy. Not good flavors. -the fried rice... was so sad... the flavors were fighting each other... too oily. No "wok hay" whatsoever. It's a very sad dish. Overall... the food is about 2.5-3 stars, I feel like the chef lacked passion for the food. Or perhaps... that's what Italians want for Chinese cuisine. Just like Americans want their chicken broccoli... who knows. Being generous with 3 stars bc of the bamboo shoots. Ciao.
