I have always had a fear of dentist because of past experiences which were very painful. I researched top dentist in Maryland and I came across Dr. Kuzmak, Towson View Dental Care and decided to give them a call and make an appointment. I was very nervous about the visit because I had two broken teeth with only the roots left in my gums. Upon my arrival I was meant by a warm and welcoming staff. Dr. Kuzmack himself came out to the waiting area to greet me and to offer me a bottle of water. That definitely helped take the edge off. He explained everything to me before he began the procedure. I always brace myself for the initial needle stick and deep burning that follows from the Novocaine... However to my surprise Dr. Kuzmack pulls out a device that he uses in conjunction with the needles that massages your gums during injection which helped to alleviate any pain! I was totally taken back that I did not feel ANY pain the entire procedure. No pain from the needle or the root extraction. On Thursday 12/27/2012 I had to get 2 impacted wisdom teeth removed and was extremely nervous,…read moreseeing as how through the grace of GOD I have never had any type of surgery performed on my body. Some may call it a small job but to me it was huge. I had my work done by a maxillofacial, oral surgeon by the name of Bernard Ian Krupp,DDS at the Krupp Center. I must say walking in I was fine and they made me feel very secure and trusting in them. However, once I sat in the chair the gitters started to kick in; the nurse knew it when I asked to use the bathroom. She said "hurry back and don't run out on us". ahhahahaahhahaha! It was so ironic because that is exactly what I was thinking almost like she was reading my mind. Just as well I know I wasnt the only one who has been like this. After the restroom i sat back down nervouslly. Once she place the mask on my face for sedation, I started to become more relaxed of coarse. Almost like I had a couple shots of vodka, lol. Oddly enough I never felt like I went to sleep, when I woke up I said to the surgeon "when am I suppose to fall asleep"? He started laughin and says, "were done Mr. Stephens". Well once it was over I felt so relieved that it was done and the process was successful. I have been following all the rules that the surgeon have set for me and the healing is coming along very well. Oddly, I have not had any swelling, which may be due to the amount of ice I have had on my face. Secondly, I have codeine, amoxicillin and ibuprofen that I have been taken. Ironically, with all these medications I'm taking I still feel normal; even after the surgery I was walking and talking regular. I just would like to say the Krupp Center is highly recommended not just by me but from other reviews. The dentist I visited prior to the Krupp Center informed me that they would have to break my jaw bone to remove the teeth because of how impacted it was (they were literally facing horizontal). The Krupp Center didnt take more than 30mins for the surgery and they didnt have to break my jaw bone. So if you or anyone you know needs to have their wisdom teeth removed inform them to take a look at the Krupp Center.

The result was a dark, dull tooth that I saw in every photo. I met with several dentists about it over the years but they either wanted to do more work than I was comfortable with, it was too pricey for me at the time, or their front desk staff were less than easy to work with. I was referred to this practice by an orthodontist. She said this office is where she sent all of her patients for that final aesthetic touch-up after long courses of braces or Invisalign. She showed me some before and after photos, and I contacted this office for a consultation. They were able to schedule me via email which was extremely convenient. After a thorough consultation and discussion of my problem and possible solutions, I was offered a clear rate sheet outlining the cost of the procedures. It's not cheap, but as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. I'm happy to say that although the cost is high, the level of service and professionalism is as well. Dr. Dancykier encouraged me to be honest with him throughout the process, and when I decided that my temporary veneers were too long, it was easy to schedule an adjustment and re-mold so that the final results were perfect. Not once was I treated like a nuisance for asking questions or wanting changes made, which can be the case in a lot of other medical or dental settings. After getting my temporaries and final veneers, Dr. Dancykier contacted me to make sure I was happy with them, which I really appreciated. I may go back for one small adjustment, and it's nice to know that I can do that easily at this practice. Also, every single appointment I had here began on time, which was a nice added bonus on top of everything else.

Both said, there is nothing there and I even went so far as to have a root canal on another tooth which one doctor thought caused the pain. Dr. Whitecar had state of the art equipment and easily identified a significant crack, albeit difficult to see with lesser equipment. I was scheduled for a procedure within days of the initial visit. The pain finally resolved. The staff was amazing as well and accommodated my initial visit within a day of my call. I highly recommend this practice.

Then I came back to get a night guard and I cannot say enough great things about this. Having the correct night guard has really improved my quality of life. Based on the amazing care I have received for teeth grinding, I made the bold decision to leave my old dentist and have Dr. B. as my dentist for comprehensive care. What this really means, is that Dr. B. is treating my teeth and my bruxism holistically. However, four days post op I was experiencing a significant amount of pain in my lower right extraction site (way worse than the other three) and so I decided to schedule an emergency appointment, as I was worried it could be a dry socket. I met with him at the Towson location for this appointment, and immediately could tell he was having a busy day and was not in the mood to deal with my issue. He had a very condescending tone and demeanor throughout the appointment, and when I expressed my concerns I felt like I was constantly talked over. He expected me to have the knowledge of an oral surgeon when I very much am not, and he barely looked inside my mouth to check on the state of the incisions. I explained that his tone felt condescending and he was exasperated. I then asked to leave and he went to a colleague and said "she called me condescending!" (this was verified to me by another colleague at the practice). I left and then decided to return with my mother present, and my mother was able to experience his lack of bedside manner first hand. He was rude to my mother, so much so that even she had to say something to him about it. I have never felt more disrespected by a medical professional in my life. This was my first experience undergoing surgery and I am now scared to have any more procedures done due to fear of having a doctor that doesn't care for my pain or concerns.

At my follow up, my teeth were cleaned, the hygienist was super nice, I set a six month appointment and that was that. I had my new dental establishment. Fast forward to December, my appointment gets cancelled. It is rescheduled for January. I can't make that one so I reschedule. That one gets cancelled. I put appointments on the back burner for two months. I then call, set up another appointment, and that gets cancelled. Finally I am able to go to an appointment in May that isn't cancelled. I tell them I haven't had a cleaning since the prior summer. They take measurements of my gums and tell me I will have to return for my cleaning. What!??? Just clean my teeth please. The kicker is, when I go to check out, I'm told I need a deep cleaning and with insurance it will run me about $3,000. Uh, no thank you. I went somewhere else, somewhere that does not accept my insurance, and had X-rays, a cleaning, a super communicative and pleasant hygienist and dentist face time all in one visit. And, are you ready for this, it cost me so much less than what Aspen wanted to charge me. Sorry Aspen, I'm out.

My smile was impeccable. I lost my retainer and immediately came to Dr. Snyder's office, as I have previously had a good experience. I came and had to pay $185 for an exam and scan. This had nothing to do with the actual retainer i wanted made. As i was to get fitted for my retainer the office told me they were short staffed so i would have to come back for my fitting-- 3 weeks later. I wish i would have gone elsewhere. Every single day that passes my teeth shift. And TODAY, the day of my fitting , as I prepare to drive TWO HOURS for my appointment, Dr Snyder's office calls to say their machine broke down. I must now be rescheduled AGAIN. They induced reliance and failed to deliver. My smile is gone and i now require invisalign. Their response? $50 off my retainer. Do yourself and your smile a favor and find a more reliable business.
