Best dentist ever! The staff is friendly, and everything runs smoothly. It's not too difficult to make an appointment either.

Couldn't be more rude and less professional. He charged me $100 for the privilege of telling me he can't evaluate me. I was told to come back a few days later, and again, an appointment was made for me. Again, a waste of time and $100 to be told I'm too swollen to work on. He did a hard sell on my having a root canal, and I was referred to an endodontist. The endodontist was a true professional in all ways and, after evaluation, stated that I needed no root canals, my pain was from the heavy handed dental procedure, not a dying tooth. That report was sent to my dentist and Dr. Zeren on a Thursday. Saturday, my temporary crown had fallen off, exposing the raw open nerves of two molars. The pain was agonizing, as was the pain of trying to put it back in place myself. Monday, I still didn't hear back from Dr. Zeren (or my dentist!). The pain had calmed down somewhat, but as my temporary continued to fall off, I continued into a cycle of excruciating pain, calming down, just to start over again. Since I had not heard anything despite completing all steps required of me, I called Dr. Zeren to find out what I was supposed to do next and what I can do to get the procedure moving in a forward direction. Tuesday I went in and actually received a pre-op exam, the one I'd paid for twice and hadn't actually received. Charged $100 again. And quoted $1800 as a price for a crown lengthening, due in full before the procedure. Moreover, I went in to the office in a lot of pain from the temporary again falling off, and he reinstalled it, but patently refused to do anything for the exquisite amount of pain I was in. How a health professional could let someone walk in having uncontrolled pain and let them leave in the same shape is beyond me. Especially as he knew my dentist was out of town for the week and I had nowhere to go. Not even four (!!) hours later, my temporary fell out again. Again, the pain from having exposed nerves was unbearably excruciating. I was unable to stop crying from pain and it was so deep it became nauseating and I had to fight my system from vomiting my brains out with the pain. I had begged him for help with the pain in office and he did nothing, and now I called back, and in tears, begged for help again. At first the doctor was unreachable, but when my call was returned, the doctor was unwilling to help me in any way, and told me I'd have to wait until I had an appointment with my dentist. He and I both knew my dentist was out of town and I had nowhere to go. After begging for help and some ridiculous back-and-forth that no one should have to go through, much less someone in agonizing pain, the office agreed that he would see me again and re-cement it, but it would be at the cost of another appointment ($100 -- their favorite price), and the fee for the first appointment of earlier that day would not be waived, even though the restoration didn't last 4 hours and I had already paid for a pre-op exam, several times over. I'm not impressed with his manners or compassion or professionalism. I felt price gouged and taken advantage of in my hour of need. Moreover, I was denied any type of intervention of the unbearable pain that I was so clearly in. I also disliked that I had to wait over a half hour past my designated appointment time each time I was seen. I will not have my crown lengthening procedure with Dr. Zeren, as I do not trust him to do a good job on the procedure or control my post-operative pain. $300 later and a week of being in a multiplicity of pain that he refused to help, I am cutting my losses and finding a true professional to do my procedure.
