Absolute horrible customer service and a total rip off. I had a coupon for $395 brake job. (See photo) I dropped the car off for an appointment at 8:00 am. When they called and finally said the car was done after 4 o'clock, I came to pick up the car and they had only done the rear brakes claiming it was only for one axle (not all 4 brakes) and had charged $90 for an inspection which I DID NOT NEED. The service lady was extremely rude and did not budge at all even though I clearly explained that all I wanted was the job that was stated on the coupon to get done. Now I am out $530 for rear brakes when I dropped off my car to get all 4 brakes done for $395 like the coupon stated. I had got quoted $500 for all 4 brakes to get done from a reputable shop near me but figured I would use this coupon and that was a big mistake. read more

We stop here for gasoline only, and haven't had any work done on a vehicle. The pumps work and the folks inside are friendly. Be sure to watch out for people who aren't paying attention when you're trying to leave. The awkwardness of the exit area can be problematic. We plan on going back to fuel up should the need arise when we're heading in that direction. read more

Triple A sent me a tow truck from here when my car slid off the road into the snow. Instead of pulling my car out from the back, in the path it had gone in, the tow truck driver hooked the chain up to my driver's side wheel, and pulled the front through the snow making a 180 degree turn, taking out my fog lights in the process. When I mentioned the damage, the tow guy went into a rant about how he knows what he's doing, and he doesn't like it when people tell him how to do his job, and if I was going to do that, he would just leave and I could get someone else to tow my car out. He finally got the back wheels on the road, but the front wheels were still in the snow. He told me to get in my car and back it onto the road. So I did, but the front wheels were spinning, trying to get traction. He yelled something, so I stopped. Then he yelled "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? I'M STILL STANDING HERE!" Confused, I said "You told me to back out." He said "YEAH, I TOLD YOU TO BACK OUT. I DIDN'T TELL YOU TO SPIN YOUR WHEELS AND THROW SNOW AND ICE ALL OVER ME!!" I had an instant of feeling bad until he said disgustedly "I'M DONE." I was also done with him and his attitude, so I backed out (spinning my tires, because that's the only way I could back up, since he didn't bother to get my car all the way out of the snow) and I drove off. Later at home I got a call from the police saying the tow truck guy had called them and told them I had hit the front of his truck with my mirror when I drove off: a complete fabrication, as my mirror is fully intact with no scratches. I called Feist Automotive to complain about this guy and was assured over and over that they would look into it and have someone call me back. As yet, no one has. I feel this company does not care about what kind of people they hire, or how their employees treat their customers. I do not recommend using them for anything. read more

I had a fuel line pop off inside my gas tank. I know this because I installed two new fuel pumps and the job was a bear. One of the connections inside the tank was a pain in my butt and sure enough the car died about a month later and I knew it was that line. I called Feist for a tow and they took a look, called me and verified the issue and offered me a few solutions. One was expensive and out of their control because it's a VW part, one was a line repair itself and another one was a used part. I went with the line repair and am extremely happy with their service and the results. So much so that I'm a return customer for tires. People often don't use Yelp! For compliments so take the very few complaints with a grain of salt. read more

Left my brake bleeder open after working on my car. could have cost me my life. Never again. My coolant was running empty after a first oil change there and they told me it was because of a clamp And they came up with $915 worth of work to get done, plus thousands more. Then then are completely negligent with my bleeder in the process. Mechanic said, "oh, I might have accidentally bumped it when I did my degreasing." Never trust them and will never, ever be back. I'm sure if I would have brought it in to look at for the brakes, they would have bamboozled me with a brake issue that costed much more. Scam artists. read more

recently had to use them for triple A and this was by far the worst service I have ever had when dealing with triple a/ rowing companies. Driver was very rude and inconsiderate, over talked, gave rude responses to me and my cousin, I had a vehicle that I wanted towed, the car did not start and also had two flat tires, I asked for a tow the worker said he was not able to because he was able to jump start it. well I never asked him to jumpstart it cause that was not going to fix my issue. I needed the car towed because it had flat tires not because it would not start. the drivers name was AARON, Erin or Eric he would not clearly give his first and last name. rude service definitely would not recommend. read more

I had my car towed there January 30 Monday through many miscommunications we finally connected on Thursday. I was told the part was ordered. It would be fixed on Monday no later than Tuesday of this week. That would mean I would have the car back no later than February 7. It was a repair they did less than a year ago they said they would not charge me the $60 for the part replacement, but I would still be charged the labor which was close to $2311. On February 8 they told me they would give me a deal and only charge me $1543.02 and then offer me some money on the car. I said I would be by later that night to pay for it and pick it up or the next day, I needed to arrange transportation, It is February 9 and they have still not fixed my car. They have offered to not charge me to fix it and if I turn over my title they'll give me a couple hundred dollars for the car. I'm afraid to even have them fix the car now I thought it was already done. How can a place have a car over 11 days and not fix it? I am very disappointed and disgusted with the lies and the lack of customer service. read more

On the plus side, Feist is super convenient. It's right off of 100 and is easy to hit when we are headed to and from somewhere. It's a good option if you need a quick fill up or something like air in a low tire. We do on occasion get our oil changed here. They do a fine job and prices are in line with what you'd pay elsewhere. I will say though that I always feel like they think I'm trying to scam them when I use one of their coupons that they mail out to our neighborhood. I mean, why send out coupons if you don't actually want people to use them? We will take our cars here in a pinch if we just need a quick oil change, but honestly, we tend to still go elsewhere if we have the option. And we still opt to take our cars elsewhere, including driving to our old shop in our old neighborhood in St. Paul, if we need something more complex than a basic oil change.. read more

Recently.. I enjoyed being stranded by my car... and had to rely on the kind folks at Feist for a tow. I really wish I could give them 4 or 5 stars because the tow truck driver was SO NICE.. but the woman I called to arrange for the tow was less than nice. First of all.. it's winter.. in Minnesota.. and I am stranded. Second of all.. it's winter.. in Minnesota.. and I am stranded.. in the dark.. and I am a girl. The woman was rude.. she acted like she had NO idea where I was with my car (even though I was about 2 miles from where they are located & gave explicit directions). After I got done with my awesome conversation with her.. I waited over an hour for my tow truck to come.. and I was fricken freezing at this point. My car was dead.. my cell phone was near dead.. and I was starting to feel a bit like I was on an episode of LOST... Next time I need a tow.. I might consider checking with another company.. but.. in a pickle.. I'd recommend these guys... but only because the tow truck guy was such a nice guy.. and my car did end up safe & sound at the shop :) read more

Reasons I like this gas station: 1. They sell gas that my car is happy to consume without prompting me to "check engine". 2. Customer service is top-notch. I've seen attendants filling the tanks for old ladies despite the fact there is no "Full Service" lane. While pumping gas they check the oil level, fill the wiper fluid, and tire pressure...all with a smile. 3. If you have a flat tire, like I did, they'll give you a good estimate of time to stop out to help you, and call you if they are running late. For 75 bucks, they changed my tire (I was on a hill and couldn't use my jack for fear it would roll off and crush my foot) with a smile, in the rain. 4. Free air for your tires when they are open for business. 5. The station is clean and the prices are in line with other bigger name stations. 6. Owner-operated, so they take pride in their location and building. read more

I got a flat tire and the guy they sent out to fix it stripped the lug nut which on my car is attached to the hub. He said he'd pay for it but that is surely not what happened. To fix it was several hundred dollars and the company refused to acknowledge the problem. I called them over a dozen times and they were extremely rude each time. They also never return messages so don't bother leaving one. In the end, they claimed the guy who broke my lug nut doesn't even work there (even though I got his name and saw "Feist" on his truck) and they refused to pay for the damage. It took months of calls to get them to even say that. Terrible company, terrible customer service. read more

With great hesitation I'll give them 1 star only because they responded quickly when AAA contacted them after my husbands vehicle stalled on Hwy 100. After that things went downhill from thereimmediately. To make a long story short, today it is FIVE WEEKS and TWO DAYS later and my husband was there this afternoon and insisted it be towed to another shop. It has been 5 weeks and 2 days of excuses and unkept promises from the owner of Feist Auto. We were told time and time again that he would call us on a certain day at a certain time and not once did he keep that commitment to us. At one point we were told that our vehicle was the high priority job for May 25th, today is June 19th and we were still no further along than the day it was towed there. Imagine if we were not high priority!!! Bottom line is if you need gasoline then by all means stop in, I understand that they have attendants that still pump the gas for you~BUT it would be in your best interest to find another place for your car should it need any mechanical work. I had a ball joint break on me after another place replaced my previous one. Through AAA, they towed me in under 30 minutes and made me a priority. Provided a loaner vehicle for the night and had my truck fixed. In addition, they provided a list of issues (and proof) I could take to the previous mechanic who didn't know what they were doing. read more

My car lost it's power steering on 100 and I was lucky to pull off on Duluth and make it to Feist....or so I thought. I had them take a look at my car and within an hour claimed to have found everything wrong with my car and wanted to charge me over $1,110 to fix it. When I called back saying I was going to have it towed and taken to my regular auto shop, Mark (who I had dropped my car off with) proceeded to question me about why I was changing auto stores, did they need to lower the cost and what made the other auto shop better. It made me extremely uncomfortable. When I called to let them know I was going to settle my bill, the woman on the phone was extremely rude and sighed and had an attitude with me. And come to find out after taking my car to a regular auto shop what Feist wanted to fix were components of my car that didn't even need fixing. Which just makes me believe that they thought they had a young woman who was freaking out and wanted her car fixed pronto...well they were right that I am young but I am not stupid and so thankful I got a second opinion. I'm sure they are fine as a gas station but I would NEVER trust them with my car! read more

Terrible repair shop. Our vehicle broke down next to their driveway a few nights ago during the bitter cold. The road was too icy to push it into their lot, so they had to tow it. You would think they could cut us a break since it was literally 50 feet. Nope. $80 later they towed it. The next day they called and said they ran the dianostics and it was the alternator. $720 to fix it. Fortunately, our friend is a mechanic and said that seemed high, so he would do it. We told feist that we were taking it somewhere else for repairs, and they threw a fit threatening to tow it to byerlys lot where it would get impounded that night. (this was a thursday; We live an hour away a said we would come and get it that weekend) thankfully, our mechanic offered to go and pull it home that night. Today we receive a call that it was not the alternator, but it was just the battery!!! Beware, do not go there!! They screw people, especially when they think you don't have any other options! read more
