My dogs have been going to Country Kennels for the last 5 years. I had never boarded my dogs before…read moreand of course I was a worried dog mom. The owner was very comfortable with my dogs, one of which is a 110 lb German Shepard. Both dogs warmed up to him immediately. The dogs had large runs with outdoor access and a large outdoor area to play in. The kennel itself is exceptionally clean. They were very well taken care of and I feel comfortable leaving them as I know they are in good hands.

The owner of this place is the meanest person I have ever met. We took our dog here because they…read morehave been in business for many years, and they are neighbors of family members. The owner was rude from the beginning, commenting on my way into the kennel (where cats are kept) that she hates cats. She would not show me the area where my dog would be kept...I should have left right there but had no other option for a kennel, and we were leaving for vacation in an hour. I called to check on him during the week, she just said he's fine and wouldn't elaborate. When we came home, we were 10 minutes late to pick him up, and we called an hour ahead of time to let her know. Since she lives on the property, we were really hoping she would help a customer out and let us pick him up. We even offered to pay for the extra day if it was that much trouble. She said no and hung up on us. My 3yr old cried the rest of the way home....and my husband and I were livid at the treatment. If she treats her (human) customers this way that are paying her good money to board animals there, how is she treating my dog when no one else is around?? We did have to pay the full day, even though we picked him up at 9am the second the place opened today...she said she had to get up at 6:30am to feed him. After reading the previous review, I'll be picking up flea medicine on the way home just in case. Please don't send your animals here.
