Protection Dog Sales - We are real customers this is a true review not FAKE NEWS. PDS is the real deal. Me. Harris and his team are professional.

    Protection Dog Sales

I never imagined I would be in a position where I'd even consider a protection dog. Unfortunately,…read moreafter a traumatic experience at our home, my wife was permanently unsettled and ready to move. I knew I had to find a different solution--but navigating this world is overwhelming. Prices are astronomical, and there's no shortage of people online claiming to be "experts." I spent over a year researching. I flew all over the country visiting trainers and breeders of every scale and cost, trying to separate noise from substance. From my very first interaction with Protection Dog Sales, it was clear they were different. David, Paula, and the entire PDS team answered every question we had--especially the stupid ones--without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. There was never a hard sell, never a ticking clock. Just honest conversations and as much time as I needed to feel comfortable. Our goal was a family-friendly protection dog, as we have a 6-year-old and a 2-year-old. We loved shepherds and Malinois, but wanted a lower-shedding breed. PDS helped us land on a beautiful male Schnauzer, and he has been an absolutely incredible addition to our family. We flew across the country several times to visit PDS before purchasing, and each time the entire staff made themselves available. We met numerous dogs, asked endless questions, and were always encouraged to take our time. Once we made the decision, the delivery process was flawless. Daniel, the trainer, was exceptional--he spent several days with us ensuring a smooth transition and making sure our whole family was confident and comfortable. Even now, two years later, we remain deeply connectedn to the PDS team. They are incredibly responsive and always willing to help, which speaks volumes about how they stand behind their dogs and clients long after the sale. It's honestly hard to imagine our world without our dog. He is fiercely protective, perfectly controlled, and exceptionally well-mannered. That said--these are still dogs. Like children, their behavior reflects the time and energy you invest, don't expect a robot. PDS gives you the foundation, but ownership still requires commitment. If you are seriously considering a protection dog and want professionalism, transparency, patience, and long-term support, I cannot recommend Protection Dog Sales highly enough.

4 minutes ago NEW…read moreFirst off, The staff that I dealt with and the owner, David, were top-notch and great to work with. Responsive, helpful, A+! Things were going great I went down and picked up my dog. I'm in a wheelchair and they helped zero me in on the best dog for my situation and he has been great. Back to the story. After a few weeks of getting him home he kept pooping on the floor. He would go to the bathroom outside and come in and poop on the floor. He also was extremely aggressive towards any other animals outside. If the neighbors dog was out there he would bolt at it growling and attack mode. When he's inside my truck if he sees another animal he is pretty aggressive. My wife sent an email to relay this information and started conversing with the other owner Jenni who I had never met or heard of. To make it brief her initial response was just basically finger pointing that he poops on the floor because you're not doing your job with him. Not that we take him out for 15 minutes he comes in and then wants to poop on the floor. Or not even a question on what is going on when this happens. Same thing with the dog aggression. My wife was a little bothered by the email so I sent a smart ass email asking if she was a clairvoyant or how she obtained these skills of knowing what the problem is without even asking any questions. Her response was shocking to me. Basically threatening that you will never talk to me like this again and just being completely unprofessional. I will post a link for the email strings so everyone can read them and decide for themselves. I absolutely could not believe that after spending $75,000 on a dog that this is how we are treated. I basically just cut it off after that and just let them know that we're done. I'm not going to continue to do business with someone like that. I was going to be buying another dog right away obviously that's not happening now.. I do need to say that everyone else that I have dealt with their has been great. I've been in business for myself for the last 20 years and I've never seen anything like this from an owner of a company to a customer. Probably a good idea to get some anger management classes. I see by reading the yelp reviews this isn't just a me thing. It seems quite common from Jenni.

I have been meaning to write this review for years now. We have been fortunate enough to get three…read moredogs from Liz from 2021-2024. I cannot begin to express how special these dogs are. They are so in tune with human emotions, playful, and loving. All three of them have been around babies and toddlers and could not be more gentle. The joy they bring to our home is indescribable. Our most recent pup was a part of the inmate training program. It's so lovely to think that she was able to bring joy to others before she came home to us. All three were adopted when they were around 6-8 mo old. We have several older dogs (10-14 years old) as well- all of whom have medical conditions that require extra care. We were hesitant at first to bring young dogs around our older pack. There was absolutely no issue. The little ones have encouraged their elders to play and run around with them but are also very respectful of their space and need for rest. Liz is such a wonderful lady and even more wonderful with the dogs. She sat us down and told us all about the stack of papers she gives at each adoption. She encouraged us to always reach out if we saw any behavioral issues so she could work with us. We knew that the line of communication was always open so any problems could be fixed. Fortunately, we have not had any thus far! All dogs are in perfect health. I believe we paid $650-$700 for each dog. This included microchip/vaccines/neutering/initial behavioral training. Based on the good work this place does- and on the prices of other rescues that offer doodle mixes- this is an incredibly fair price. Based on the quality of dog we have received from Liz 3x now, I really do believe it is her treatment of them in the beginning of their lives that have shaped them into such amazing and intuitive animals. Seeing negative reviews on here absolutely breaks my heart. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion but mine could not be more positive of Pawsibilities Unleashed. I wholeheartedly recommend this organization to my friends and to anyone reading this. Here are a few pictures of the Aussiedoodle trio we have been blessed with- Oswald, Rosie, and Harold!

6/4/22- Here's my review of Artisan Dog Training (Adam)…read more Adam spent 2-months on my Dutch Shepherd correcting problem areas & teaching good obedience.  Initially I wanted to focus on this and that for Cassie, but I was going about it the wrong way. Initially during a few 1-hr sessions, I saw Adam's mastery in action almost instantly.  I realized that  weekly 1-hr classes weren't cutting it, and that month-long bootcamps were MUCH better for my hyper Dutch Shepherd. She was hyper, wouldn't listen, had obedience issues, beginning to be destructive, and VERY unsocialized (frightened of people!).  Not good for a Dutch Shepherd puppy of 3-months!! During the 2-month bootcamp, Adam first established a framework to FOCUS my dog's attention by establishing trust & communication which doesn't happen overnight.  This takes time, but KEY to garner my dog's obedience. Once done, Adam was able to unlock my dog's potential & focus on obedience training for her to be a good citizen. These are the things Adam worked on with Cassie: - Corrected bad behavior (jumping, biting/nipping) - Basic Commands (come, heel, down, wait...etc) - On/off leash activities (verbal/non-verbal commands) - MAJOR work on socialization (people, dogs) My lack of understanding how to socialize my puppy had drastic effects on her.  She would cower behind me or pull away strongly when meeting strangers.  Fixing this took more than just going to PetSmart for socialization.  She needed to focus first, understand that strangers were normal.  Again, Adam worked pretty hard on this. Result: My hyper Dutch Shepherd was much more manageable, no longer jumped on me or would bite thinking it was play.  She also learned how to potty on command & her socialization improved GREATLY compared to before!  Now I have to do "my part" to reinforce this training & make this permanent.

I remember how easy it was to welcome Buddy to my home. This frightened, uncertain senior Chihuahua…read moretook some time to trust me, but he always made me smile with his sweet little face. I knew as an older rescue, Buddy would not be with me as long as most of my fur family members, but he soon settled into a farm life with a "I will try" attitude. However, he drew the line at chickens. During the last few months, I monitored him with a scale recommended by an understanding and knowledgeable Frankfort Animal Clinic (FAC) office staff member. The leaving time for a friend is not easy at all. After a few false starts, I accepted what I had to do and made an appointment with Dr. Morgan. She handled the situation with kindness, understanding, and professionalism assisted by Rudy. Dr. Morgan explained about a sedative-for Buddy, not me- and I appreciated that greatly. All the paperwork/business end was completed in the privacy of an exam room. I appreciated that so very much; I hate to cry in public. The office staff member (I did not ask your name-I am sorry) came to me and dealt with the paperwork. She even brought me the RX's I had ordered for another fur friend. Rudy explained I could go outside, and she would bring Buddy to my car. The FAC staff probably see this scenario weekly, but this very difficult situation was new for me; I appreciated their professional care and their gentleness in dealing with Buddy and me. He was a good friend, and I shall miss him. Fran Bradshaw

We've only visit the Frankfork Animal Clinic when our own vet is unavailable or it's an emergency…read more In two cases, our dogs were at end of life and we didn't want them to suffer. Dr. Wade King was just going to euthanize them without a sedative that would alleviate their fear (our Springer was violently shaking!). Another time, Dr. King examined our15-year-old Cavalier King Charles spaniel. He was bonded to our 16-year-old English Springer Spaniel, whom we had to put down three weeks earlier. Dr. King said that our Cavy's bloodworks were fine. He said that we can pay $1,000 of dollars for him to do exploratory surgery ... on a 15-year-old dog!! We told him absolutely not. Again, he was just going to euthanize him, but we demanded he give him a sedative. After our little guy was dead, Dr. King touched his eye in front of us to see if was dead. In all the time we saw Dr. King, not once did he ever touch or talk to our dogs. He doesn't appear to like animals. He like the money. He just got the job done. Two weeks ago, out vet was closed so we had to take our mixed breed 13-year-old girl to have her severe diarhhea treated. Our vet would normally treat her with an anti-diarrhea drug. Dr. King, however, would not treat the diarrhea until he performed a $250! blood test. The blood test, not came back normal. So he gave us the drug to stop the diarrhea. All said and done, we paid more than $300 to stop her diarrhea. We know person who said that Dr. King is not qualified to be a gardener. I wouldn't want him touch my plants. Find someone else. Someone who cares about you and your pet. Who you and your pet as something more than a money maker.
