I have been meaning to write this review for years now. We have been fortunate enough to get three dogs from Liz from 2021-2024. I cannot begin to express how special these dogs are. They are so in tune with human emotions, playful, and loving. All three of them have been around babies and toddlers and could not be more gentle. The joy they bring to our home is indescribable. Our most recent pup was a part of the inmate training program. It's so lovely to think that she was able to bring joy to others before she came home to us. All three were adopted when they were around 6-8 mo old. We have several older dogs (10-14 years old) as well- all of whom have medical conditions that require extra care. We were hesitant at first to bring young dogs around our older pack. There was absolutely no issue. The little ones have encouraged their elders to play and run around with them but are also very respectful of their space and need for rest. Liz is such a wonderful lady and even more wonderful with the dogs. She sat us down and told us all about the stack of papers she gives at each adoption. She encouraged us to always reach out if we saw any behavioral issues so she could work with us. We knew that the line of communication was always open so any problems could be fixed. Fortunately, we have not had any thus far! All dogs are in perfect health. I believe we paid $650-$700 for each dog. This included microchip/vaccines/neutering/initial behavioral training. Based on the good work this place does- and on the prices of other rescues that offer doodle mixes- this is an incredibly fair price. Based on the quality of dog we have received from Liz 3x now, I really do believe it is her treatment of them in the beginning of their lives that have shaped them into such amazing and intuitive animals. Seeing negative reviews on here absolutely breaks my heart. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion but mine could not be more positive of Pawsibilities Unleashed. I wholeheartedly recommend this organization to my friends and to anyone reading this. I posted a review- FOUR years ago and Pawsiblities just responded! They attached an interesting document that had glowing reviews of their organization. Interestingly enough they were all about the dogs which they trained. I cannot speak to that as ours was not. They also have a side gig in which they take puppy mill dogs and sell them for a hefty fee claiming purebred......whatever. Our dog was severely damaged when we got her, please read my original post as to how mishandled she was from their organization. Although we love our girl and have worked hard to "normalize" her, she will always be an anxious dog..but we love her despite her shortcomings. Please do NOT buy from this puppy mill. They lead you to believe that the dogs have been checked for temperament and have been trained. Nothing is further from the truth. Look at the other reviewers that had the same experience. read more

I have had nothing but the most wonderful time with Pawsibilities unleashed. I work with Liz twice a week to train my service dog for various medical needs. Liz and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable, smart, compassionate and dedicated to helping those in need. For those of you who are mad about the "adoption price", get over it. I have seen first hand how Liz uses that money to help the dog's cost. She works wonders and truly knows how to train ANY dog. And I mean ANY. If I didn't trust her, my dog would not be currently living with her to get more advanced medical alert training. On top of that, my service dog absolutely adores her. He is treated better than most humans are by their family. He eats like a king every morning and night. As for the "awful smell" reviews.... I have a few choice things to say to that.... ONE: that smell that you are talking about is cleaning solution. Liz and her team work all day long to maintain and steam clean the facility every day. TWO: there are constantly dogs in and out of the facility... what do you expect?!? On top of that, there are new puppies there who are still learning where to potty. If they do potty inside, one of the staff members is on it immediately to properly clean and disinfect it. So, stop acting like it's the end of the world to have a hint of a smell of cleaning supplies. Y'all are so quick to jump down someone's throat the minute something goes unplanned. Remember, these are dogs. Just as you may not know you have a medical condition, you may not know of a dog's medical condition. Liz rescues many abused and mistreated animals from positions where they would have died otherwise. She truly cares about finding good homes for they pups to have a better life. OVERALL, you get back work for every penny you have paid. Liz has invested so much time into my life alone. She has multiple clients and cares just as much for one as the next. If it wasn't for Pawsabilies Unleashed, I wouldn't be able to function in my day to day life. If I could give 10 stars I would. read more

I took my reactive 5.5 month old German Shepherd in for evaluation of her fear reactive issues with strangers and other dogs and then started classes in December 2019. As Liz told me it will be a life long training session to keep her from back sliding, so we continue to attend her classes. However, it only helps if you listen and practice outside of class too. Maggie is now 1 year old and while she still has some reactive issues she has improved so much. Liz is a great trainer and only uses positive enforcement no choke collars, e-collars, or other harsh training methods. read more

Liz is an excellent trainer, and has helped me gain independence through helping me train my service dog. :)

After working with another trainer for almost a year, our leash reactive dog was no better. We started group classes on Tuesday nights and it has made a world of difference. Liz's positive training methods work and when I boarded my dog, she treated him as her own. read more

I recently "adopted" a dog from Pawsabilities Unleashed, in Frankfort Ky.  This group seemingly runs under a non-for profit organization and posts animals on petfinder. They state that your rehoming or adoption fee is tax deductible for the use of training service dogs for those in need however, upon arriving at the facility, it would appear that funds are not being spent on the animals.  Unfortunately when I arrived at the facility for Pawsabilities Unleashed I could not see the animals as they were covered by a large tarp.  The smell when I walked in the building was so overwhelming it almost caused me to become physically ill. The dog that I "adopted" was covered in urine staining that appeared to be something he was saturated in for months.  This group is charging upwards of 1500 for rehoming fees for animals that come with the bare minimum (spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, da2pp vaccine and bordatella vaccine)  No microchip was provided as it states there is supposed to be and the dog I "adopted" had no training regarding most of what was advertised in the description of him (no exposure to children, people, etc.) In addition, I filled out a lengthy application with several references of whom were never contacted.  Most of the history provided was just a copy of what someone had written.  I'm not sure what the money is being used for, but it's not for the animals, facility or appropriate amount of staff to care for the animals properly. I want to let you know I think they are adopting dogs from a puppy mill. I bought a dog from them in May 2016. It was suspicious when they could not give me info on parents. I asked for photos of parents. And never received. The contract said they only adopt healthy dogs. My dog was so sick. She had parasites and giardia extremity under weight. When I picked her up I was told she was in a foster care home. Being potty trained. When actually she had never been introduced to grass. She only knew to potty on concrete. I asked for contact number. They said to just email. I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt and emailed regarding her health. The owner texted me and said she was unable to call. Because she was not in AT&T area. Which was bs. I told her I was going to write a bad review. I strongly encourage you to be advised of what you are getting into. I can't say don't adopt from them because these dogs need good homes. They gave a five day return policy. Which I would have never taken her back to them. People ask me where I got her from. And it's sad that I can't recommend them. But, I want people to take dogs from them. If It was my choice they would be put out of business. read more

I received my service dog from this organization back in 2015. My dog Cooper is very healthy and happy. Liz has responded to every request or question I have had over the years, including helping identify all requirements for traveling internationally with a service animal. The training lasted 6 months +, and was based on his ability to learn to mitigate my medical condition, by performing certain tasks. When I first received Cooper as a puppy, he was clean, had a ISO microchip, all of the shots required for his current age. Her instructions were to take him to our vet to get checked out, and scheduled for his next shots. I'm not sure where or why the puppy mill comments came in to play, but I can assure you that I was in that facility every Saturday for months on end and never saw dogs mistreated or neglected. The training is all positive reward based training, so choke chains and pinch collars are not allowed. We trained along side therapy dogs and other service animals in training. Liz shares a wealth of knowledge she has acquired over the years, which helps those new to the service dog world when navigating stores, airports, restaurants, etc. This is a worthwhile charity that I believe in whole heartedly. read more

I totally agree with these other terrible, horrible, sad reviews of Pawsibilities Unleashed. We 'adopted' our sweet puppy in April of 2016. On the way to pick him up (a 7 hour drive), our contact person from PU texted us to let us know that our puppy was at the vet on an IV and was probably too sick to pick up the following day. We went anyway and to our shock and sadness, our puppy was so filthy, weak ,and undernourished he couldn't even walk! My husband and I weren't sure what to do but we knew this puppy was in great peril in the hands of these totally incompetent people that we quickly signed the papers and GOT OUT OF THERE! Our first stop was to a nearby pet store where we bought the best puppy food we could find to slowly feed our starving puppy! (can you believe these people would let a puppy starve?!!) Long story short - after a trip to our vet, he told us that our puppy was 30% UNDERWEIGHT and totally covered with flea sores. If we hadn't taken him from PU, he would probably have been dead within 24 hours! After doing some detective work, we are CERTAIN that PU is an undercover PUPPY MILL - funneling Aussiedoodles, etc. through their guise as 'Service and Therapy' dog trainers. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A DOG FROM THESE PEOPLE! They need to be shut down. (our sweet dog is doing GREAT today and we love him dearly) read more
