My name is LeighAnn Figurelli. I live in Lexington, Kentucky with my two dogs. I am the owner and founder (well...sort'a. My Dawgs had a lot to do with it too.) of Down the Leash ®. I have been involved in some sort of training and/or education for most of my professional career. As an adult, I have worked in a variety of positions as a volunteer in public schools, as a presenter and workshop facilitator for the Delaware Mentor Program, and writing everything from simple instructions to technical training for aerospace analysis tools at a local software company. My love of teaching and learning coupled with my love of dogs has made training dogs an addictive and exciting hobby and career. Late in 2003, I bought a house of my own. I moved into that house with nothing but my clothes. I had no furniture, no dishes, no curtains, ...nothing. I used everything that I had, and every favor I could pull, to buy that house.
