After being HIGHLY recommended from friends with very well trained dogs, we sent our Brittany to Justin at K9 Trainology for 2 weeks. Our 5 yr old dog was pulling me during walks, was very excitable when we had people over, would not stay out of the kitchen & pestered company for food as we ate. Amazingly, all of these issues were addressed & Tuck is simply much more pleasant to take walks with, have others into our home & I can even cook in peace. Tuck is very responsive to the commands that Justin taught him. Justin's communication skills are great. He sends "pupdates" often when your dog is being trained, spends a good deal of time with the Owner when we picked him up & has followed up with us to see how things are going. We worked with Justin to help our 4 month old learn some manners and basic commands. We scheduled 4 at home one-hour sessions and were so happy with the results! Very black and white, small commands have great results! He gave us the tools to keep him from barking, running away, jumping up and even trained him on our electric fence. Our 8month puppy (Australian Shepard/Poodle) returned from a 2 week board and train and now knows and follows commands! We were looking for some training for one of our foster dogs that was very shut down, terribly afraid to the point he would not come out of his crate or the corner of a room. Justin worked with my 4 month old Australian Shepherd for 2 weeks at his "Board and Train" experience. I had no idea what I was doing before I got to Justin's place and when I took my puppy I was determined that a well-trained puppy would be a happier dog. Justin gave both me and my dog the confidence we needed in order to understand the basics and build from there confidently . Justin has an easy-to-relate-to personality and communicates the progress he is making with the dogs as he goes so that I always felt that I knew what was happening. He was great at the end of those 2 weeks demonstrating the new skills and then giving me a chance to make sure I understood and was able to do it myself. He is patient with my many questions and encourages after the training communication so that he can feel assured we are able to consistently develop the skills he initially taught. Walking with my dog is now something I look forward to, and tonite when I was vacuuming Jasper stayed in "place" without going bonkers chasing the vacuum around. Amazing! We sent our 3yr old Rottweiler, Tosen, to K9 Trainology for a 2 week board and train. During that time we asked that Justin work with him on how he approached and behaved around other dogs. Tosen, first of all already knew the basic commands, but had trouble staying focused with distractions. After 2 weeks Tosen returned to us with the same exact issues, and a wound ( Pressure Sores ) on his neck from the improper use of a bark collar. Tosen has never been a nuisance barker, but it seems whatever was going on there bothered him enough to cause him to bark. Tosen has never soiled his bed, he has been house trained since he was 6 mo. old. When we picked Tosen up we were handed his bed that had been pee'd and pooped in, with a very shabby attempt of cleaning. We almost stopped and through it out before we made it home, it smelled so bad. Tosen is home with two other dogs on most days while my wife and I work and has never had an accident in the house since he was house broken at 6 mo. He had to have been pinned up for several hours(10+), to the point he couldn't hold it any longer, for anything like that to happen. In review, K9 Trainology puts up a good façade, but was unable to actually complete anything that was asked of him to do. Plus left us with a nice Vet bill for the care of the wounds on Tosen's neck. My recommendation would be to save your money, and find a trainer that actually can do what they say they can do. I will be glad to forward photos of Tosen's neck, if anyone would like to see what the improper use of a no bark collar can cause. read more

I couldn't be happier with my experience with K9 trainology! I started with private training with Justin shortly after adopting a 4 month old sweet, but stubborn pitty mix. I was amazed how much she learned in the very first session and has continued to progress every week.
