I got my conch pierced here a few days ago by the owner, Jon, and had a bad experience. I've had other piercings before (at other shops), and this level of pain and swelling following the piercing was not normal for me. At first, he tried to use a hoop/horseshoe, which I knew wasn't appropriate for a healing conch, so I declined. I then asked about using a 16g, but he told me an 18g was fine. He used a regular 18g earring with a butterfly back. He didn't have flat-back jewelry and I was told swelling wouldn't be an issue. By the second day, I had significant pain and swelling. The jewelry was pressing into my ear, and the back was rubbing against my neck, causing irritation. While out of town, I saw another piercer who immediately said the jewelry was inappropriate--it was too short, not meant for a conch piercing, and the angle from the back was incorrect, which was likely causing the pain. She also noted bruising and told me it needed to be removed right away. She explained 16g jewelry should have been used. After further research following the piercing, I also learned that 18g jewelry in a conch has a higher chance of migration, which I wasn't aware of beforehand. I went back to request a refund but was refused. They offered to redo it or move forward with another piercing, but I wasn't comfortable moving forward with him after this experience. I would not recommend this place and suggest doing thorough research before getting pierced here. read more

The only reason I don't give a full 5 stars was because the day I went in, the girl that was starting a tattoo and was cool about giving me another artist's number and was cool with me hanging for a bit. I got ahold of the artist and he had an opening a little later in the day. It was when I came back some of the staff had, I think, family just hanging out and one of the women had this really nasty tone with me asked what I wanted. Gage was awesome though! This is the third time I've come into this tattoo and piercing shop. First time was for my daughter who had never had any piercings done before. Savannah, the piercer and tattoo artist was there, and she made both me and my daughter feel comfortable. I then brought in my mom and my cousin from Holland. They were both comfortable and enjoyed Savannah's presence and professionalism. And finally, as a result of my long overdue divorce, I came in (with an appointment scheduled before hand of course) to get both my nipples pierced as a sort of "Independence Celebration." I got my thirds done and they came out uneven. I was pierced without gloves, she didn't clean my ears before piercing me, I never saw her wash her hands and didn't see the jewelry or needles before i got pierced. I went to another shop to get them looked at and they told me the right side was pierced into the cartilage which is why it bled excessively afterwards. The jewelry used was way too small and they put a huge backing on with no room for it to swell. Two of the people at the shop I went to had horrible experiences with this place as well, one of them being a tattoo. The piercer at the shop said it also looked like they used a different sized needle for each ear. I'm a minor and they didn't take any type of ID from me. We were in and out in under 15 minutes it was horrible & they do this consistently because I know two other people with bad experiences with no gloves and incorrect jewelry. read more

I am very disappointed in my experience with Fedora. I went in to get a tattoo done and was told I had to schedule an appointment and pay a deposit, which was completely reasonable. I paid my deposit and scheduled my appointment for the following week during a date and time when I was available. The day of the appointment, 4 hours before my scheduled time, I receive a text stating that they would have to reschedule my appointment because they were having issues with their "power?" And wanted to reschedule me for the following Saturday, which didn't work for me. Annoyed at this point, and not sure when the next time I'm going to be available for an appointment, I simply asked for my deposit back under the premises that I can always reschedule again in the future when I'm more available. To which I'm told that the "deposit is non refundable." Which is simply unacceptable regarding this situation. I would understand that, and even feel that it is fair if I had been the one who missed or rescheduled my appointment, (especially in such abrupt short notice) but I hadn't. Never before had I experienced a business that punishes its customers when they fail to provide the service that they're hired for. They broken their own agreement and refuse to own up to their wrong doing. They caused me a major inconvenience, and are refusing to return money that I paid for a service they failed to provide. Even more hypocritical, by their own disclaimer, they specifically require 24 hour notice for rescheduling appointments, meantime they themselves clearly only feel the need to give 4 hours notice. There are so many talented artists out there, and by no means are these guys worth the time or headache. They are nothing but a bunch of thieves and operate one of the most unprofessional businesses that I've been unfortunate to come in contact with. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will follow up with additional retributions if necessary for no one should be allowed to operate a business like this. read more

I made an appointment to get nipple piercings here. The owner was ridiculously late by almost two hours and had scheduled 4 different people for about the same time. But I waited patiently and paid the overpriced $80 for the piercings. It has almost been a year now and I'm still having quite bad issues with them. He did not give me ANY after piercing instructions whatsoever besides "Keep it clean." I had to look up proper aftercare on my own so I knew exactly what to do. Now I'm extremely meticulous when it comes to getting my piercings and tattoos healed because I'm extremely fearful of infections. I've taken proper care of it and it is not paying off. In one of my piercings you can literally see the bar THROUGH my skin. Plus it isn't even pierced in the right spot because it isn't through the actual middle of my nipple where it's supposed to be. Now I'm having to take it out let his poor job heal and go get it pierced again. It was honestly ridiculous. He overcharged me, was late, and pierced me improperly. Needless to say I'm extremely mad. I went here with a friend to get cover up work done by the owner. She had an appointment and was 10 minutes late, she called ahead and he said that was fine. We then waited a good three hours later for her to get tattooed. Ridiculous, what's the point of making an appointment then? Oh wait, if you leave a bad review on Facebook he just whinges at you with excuses. It's a business guy, be professional. So while waiting, everyone stood around vaping... so yeah.. Then dirty people with dirty children all looking like they haven't bathed in weeks. Nope! Adults swearing at children, in front of customers, who didn't find it amusing either, like I mentioned, professional. So he finally got started tattooing her, unsanitary conditions with borrowing each other's equipment without covering it. Gross. And who knows when it was last cleaned... Then he was trying to talk to us and being a total pompous blowhard. Mr. Knowitall because "you guys wouldn't know that cause I'm older than you." I asked him his age and he was quite younger than myself, which I had a good laugh at that. Another curious thing was he kept stopping and saying he needed a break due to his hand hurting, or itching.. I've never had an artist tap out, nor seen one do so. Weirdest thing ever. Then he said the session was done because she was bleeding too much. Umm i bleed too sometimes and it wasn't a lot, but if you keep stopping and going you will aggravate the hell out of the skin. I felt horrible for her. After all was said and done with the main reason for her going here was " I did that tattoo when I first started and now that I'm more experienced I want to fix that so it's not walking around with my name on it." Honestly, he should have just left it because the cover up was much worse than the original. Nasty place to go 5 kids running around inside that are just dirty. They just let a one year old sit by himself all day, never meet them and they asked me to take care of him. They go get high then tattoo you. Iv seen them killing flys over the customers being tattooed. Sick! Iv talk to one artist that talks crap about customers, how they did it badly on purpose because they didn't like the tattoo idea or them. The owner is sexiest, just see how sad he is if you say hi to what apparently is his wife. Vary sad. I was accused of flirting with her and trying to have sex with her for saying good morning! Apparently they have something going on Facebook. He degrades her and other women. After I was done he went for the gold, asked his name and told me I could call him master! : ) Lol. Iv seen lots of his work its vary sad most need to go get it fixed after. So why pay two times for the same work? Just go to Jon's Custom Creations or somewhere else anywhere else. Every tattoo artist in that place is a scratcher at home tattoo artist from their basement or bathroom but had enough money to open a store together that's it and I've heard them all say it. So if you don't want an artist who went through an apprenticeship a proper apprenticeship the only way to learn how to tattoo then go to them. They don't mind if you're high drunk killing flies around you have dirty kids all running around and if you don't mind babysitting their kids for free that's the place to go. This shop has awful. I recommend staying away. To those of you that have or will go and had a positive experience I am happy for you! Our experience here was one of the worst I've ever encountered. The artist Taylor had agreed to do the piece for 600. He asked for all of it up front which was fine. Two sessions in and only 3 1/2 hours in we came to a stopping point. There was only an hour left on the tattoo and when we were out talking about rescheduling to finishing tattoo be mentioned he will need more money. I told him that he agreed on the price and we were no where near the 6 hr mark so asking for more money was not acceptable. We scheduled the third appointment 12 days out and upon returning to the next appointment upon arrival were told he wasn't in today. This fucker skipped work and didn't call to let us know he wasn't available. Three weeks pass and after getting the owner involved we were finally able set up an appointment where we were able to get more ink done. Going into the appointment he was all set up and I had showed up early and called before to confirm he was there. We began tattooing and took our first break 45 minutes into it. He asked to take a smoke break and I needed to use the restroom. I met him outside and he had brought up needing more money again. I told him that unless we reached past 6 hrs that I was sticking at $600. He became upset and said he wasn't going to finish unless he got another 150. He stopped the tattoo then and I went home. There is still a spot 3x3 on my back that is unfinished. Looking and asking other shops and the owner all said that 5-600 hundred was an extremely fair price. I went in and spoke to the owner privately and was told that he will not do anything about it and it was between my artist and I to figure out. read more
